Increasing rural household income and reducing poverty rank among Indonesia’s top development *** rural transformation is one strategic policy framework to achieve these *** the last three decades,agricultural production has shifted from low-value food crops to high-value commodities,such as horticulture,estate crops,and *** studies have analyzed rural transformation in Indonesia at the national level,but information on the magnitudes of impact across regions remains *** study aims to analyze the changes in rural transformation at a regional level in the past two *** research utilizes secondary data from Statistics Indonesia(BPS),covering 34 provinces from 2000 to 2020,analyzed using descriptive and panel data regression *** results show an increasing trend in the share of high-value agriculture(RT_(1))and rural non-farm employment(RT_(2)).Both RT_(1)and RT_(2)are positively associated with the growth of rural household income and a lower poverty ***,the speed of structural transformation(ST),RT_(1),RT_(2),rural income growth,and poverty reduction vary across *** research implies that improving rural income and reducing poverty should be done by integrating policies,i.e.,promoting highvalue agriculture and expanding rural non-farm *** attention should also be given to provinces with slow growth in ST,RT_(1),RT_(2),and rural household income.

Although China is experiencing a deterioration in wealth distribution where housing is playing a dominant role,this issue has received scant research attention despite its *** four rounds of the China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)data,this paper measures and discusses wealth inequality in China,with a special emphasis on the contribution of *** analysis reveals that housing is the largest contributor to wealth inequality,responsible for around 70 percent of total wealth inequality,and its contribution has been increasing over *** research ejforts have focused on the housing wealth disparity,exploring its composition from alternative *** results show that housing wealth inequality has also been rising over time and an absolute majority of housing wealth inequality is due to within-group ***,we employ Wan's(2004)regression-based decomposition methodology to quantify the contributions of dijferent determinants to housing wealth disparity in China,and to demonstrate serious biases in the conventional approach that is often used to analyze housing wealth inequality.

Accelerating economic growth in formerly destitute areas and narrowing the economic gap with other regions are essential tasks for poverty alleviation in China after *** this study,the spatio-temporal characteristics of economic growth in 14 formerly destitute areas of China were ***,the spatial heterogeneity of various influencing factors was analyzed using a geographically weighted regression *** results were as follows:(1)The economic level of the formerly destitute areas was low,but their economies grew rapidly after 2011,with annual per capita GDP growth of 10.54%until 2018,higher than the national average of 9.14%.Western and southern counties grew faster economically than central and northern counties.(2)The impact of various factors on the economic growth of counties exhibited clear spatial *** influences of secondary industry growth and level of financial development on economic growth were mainly positive,whereas the effects of initial economic level and market location were mainly negative.(3)Six economic growth driving modes were identified for the 14 contiguous destitute areas,among which the secondary industry-driven mode was the most *** study can serve as a scientific reference for differentiating regional policies.

With today's economic globalization,inter-provincial trade plays an important role in a country's *** paper is the first to adopt the input-output tables of 30 Chinese provinces and to summarize the evolution of China's inter-provincial trade from1987 to *** paper reaches the following ***,China's inter-provincial trade has sustained a period of rapid *** 2007,the total volume of inter-provincial trade was twice the amount of international trade,with the eastern region accounting for the majority of the inter-provincial trade *** may have a greater effect on interprovincial trade than geographic distance ***,inter-provincial trade maintains a high level of concentration and overlaps with the high concentration of ***,the inter-provincial trade dependence of Chinese provinces tends to increase,an indication of the growing domestic market ***,the eastern region's dependence on inter-provincial trade is higher than the central and western regions'.Fourth,the share of inter-provincial trade in the overall external trade of Chinese provinces has a declining tendency,which indicates a slower process of China's domestic market integration compared with international market ***,in terms of proportion,the external trade of most Chinese provinces is still dominated by inter-provincial ***,most provinces with longstanding inter-provincial trade deficits are in the central and western regions.

China’s low-carbon development path will make significant contributions to achieving global sustainable development *** to the diverse natural and economic conditions across different regions in China,there exists an imbalance in the distribution of car-bon ***,regional cooperation serves as an effective means to attain low-carbon *** study examined the pattern of carbon emissions and proposed a potential joint emission reduction strategy by utilizing the industrial carbon emission intens-ity(ICEI)as a crucial *** utilized social network analysis and Local Indicators of Spatial Association(LISA)space-time trans-ition matrix to investigate the spatiotemporal connections and discrepancies of ICEI in the cities of the Pearl River Basin(PRB),China from 2010 to *** primary drivers of the ICEI were determined through geographical detectors and multi-scale geographically weighted *** results were as follows:1)the overall ICEI in the Pearl River Basin is showing a downward trend,and there is a significant spatial imbalance.2)There are numerous network connections between cities regarding the ICEI,but the network structure is relatively fragile and unstable.3)Economically developed cities such as Guangzhou,Foshan,and Dongguan are in the center of the network while playing an intermediary role.4)Energy consumption,industrialization,per capita GDP,urbanization,science and techno-logy,and productivity are found to be the most influential variables in the spatial differentiation of ICEI,and their combination in-creased the explanatory power of the geographic variation of ***,through the analysis of differences and connections in urban carbon emissions under different economic levels and ICEI,the study suggests joint carbon reduction strategies,which are centered on carbon transfer,financial support,and technological assistance among cities.

We investigate changes in Asia＇s regional and global trade linkages and their influence on macroeconomic relationships among Asia, Europe and the USA. We first document changes in tripartite trade patterns and discuss sO, lized facts about East Asia ＂s trade structure, with particular focus on the role of China. China plays a critical role in the rapidly expanding intra-Asian trade as an assembly and produetion center that supplies final goods for the advanced economies. However, China ＂s trade shares in final goods with East Asia and in parts and components with Europe and the USA are rising, suggesting that the region ＂s production chains are becoming increasingly integrated into the global business network. Empirical results from a panel vector autoregression model generally confirm increasingly mutual macroeconomic interdependence among East Asia, Europe and the USA. The findings suggest a future role for Asia as an important trade partner and balancing power in the world economy.

Global tea consumption has risen significantly alongside rapid expansion of international trade in recent ***,few studies have systematically examined the relationship among the major tea markets *** weekly data from 2012-2019,this study empirically analyzed the price series of the world’s major black tea auction *** estimation results showed that these markets are connected,even though heterogeneities *** finding holds not only for regional markets but also for international *** findings offer important implications for tea-producing countries with millions of smallholder farmers.

There has been ongoing interest in China's economic *** were the drivers of China's economic growth in past years?What policies were used to promote China's economic growth?Although different lenses may be used to understand and explain China's economic growth,this paper draws on historical,theoretical,and empirical perspectives to discuss the nexus between China's regional policies and economic ***,we review the evolution of China's regional policy and the policy's changing emphasis in different development stages,from balanced,unbalanced,and coordinated development to synergistic *** we construct a theoretical model to illustrate the impact of regional policy on the local economy and conduct an empirical examination with a case study of regional policy using regression discontinuity *** paper analyzes the concept of regional policy and the underpinning logic of economic growth and presents practical approaches to formulate a better regional policyframework.
