In this paper,a compact mathematical model having an elegant structure,together with a generic control framework,are proposed for generic power systems dominated by power converters that are interconnected through a passive transmission and distribution(T&D)grid,by adopting the port-Hamiltonian(pH)systems theory and the fundamental circuit *** models of generic T&D lines are developed and then the model of a generic T&D grid is *** the proposed control framework,the controlled converters are proven to be passive and Input-to-State Stable(ISS).The compact mathematical model is scalable and can be applied to power systems with multiple power electronic converters with generic passive controllers,passive local loads,and different types of passive T&D lines connected in a meshed configuration without self-loops,so it is very ***,the resulting power system is proven to be ISS as *** analysis is carried out without assumptions on constant frequency/voltage,constant loads,and/or lossless networks,except the need of passivity for all parts involved,and without using the Clarke/Park transformations or the graph *** simplify the presentation,three-phase balanced systems are adopted but the results can be easily adapted for single-phase or unbalanced three-phase systems.

The first-line treatment for autoimmune hepatitis involves the use of prednisone or prednisolone either as monotherapy or in combination with azathioprine(AZA).Budesonide has shown promise in inducing a complete biochemical response(CBR)with fewer adverse effects and is considered an optional first-line treatment,particularly for patients without cirrhosis;however,it is worth noting that the design of that study favored budesonide.A recent real-life study revealed higher CBR rates with prednisone when equivalent initial doses were *** guidelines recommend mycophenolate mofetil(MMF)for patients who are intolerant to *** is important to mention that the evidence supporting this recommendation is weak,primarily consisting of case ***,MMF has demonstrated superiority to AZA in the context of renal *** comparative studies have shown higher CBR rates,lower therapeutic failure rates,and reduced intolerance in the MMF *** findings may influence future guidelines,potentially leading to a significant modification in the first-line treatment of autoimmune *** recently,the only alternative to corticosteroids was lifelong maintenance treatment with AZA,which comes with notable risks,such as skin cancer and *** trials are essential for a more comprehensive assessment of treatment suspension strategies,whether relying on histological criteria,strict biochemical criteria,or a combination of ***-center studies using chloroquine diphosphate have shown promising results in significantly reducing relapse rates compared to ***,these interesting findings have yet to be replicated by other research ***,second-line drugs,such as tacrolimus,rituximab,and infliximab,should be subjected to controlled trials for further evaluation.

The development of spatial decision support for environmental resource management,*** and agroecosystem management,biodiversity conservation,or hydrological planning,started in the 1980s and was the focus of many research groups in the *** combined availability of spatial data and communication,computing,positioning,geographic information system(GIS)-and remote sensing(rs)-technologies has been responsible for the implementation of complex SDSS since the late *** regional GIS-based modelling of environmental resources,and therefore ecosystems in general,requires setting-up an extensive geo and model *** data on topography,soil,climate,land use,hydrology,flora,fauna and anthropogenic activities have to be ***,GIS-and rs-technologies are of central importance for spatial data handling and *** this context,the structure of spatial environmental information systems(SEIS)is *** SEIS,the input data for environmental resource management are organised in at least seven subinformation systems:base geodata information system(BGDIS),climate information system(CIS),soil information system(SIS),land use information system(LUIS),hydrological information system(HIS),spatial/temporal biodiversity information system(STBIS),forest/agricultural management information system(FAMIS).The major tasks of a SEIS are to(i)provide environmental resource information on a regional level,(ii)analyse the impact of anthropogenic activities and(iii)simulate scenarios of different impacts.

Despite their potential for providing important information for paleobiogeography,studies using ostracod assemblages compiled from global datasets have been scarce so *** this study,the paleogeographic implications of the relationship between different ostracod assemblages are analyzed and discussed for the Albian and *** compiled an ostracod dataset at the genus level,with 168 genera for the Albian and 174 for the Cenomanian,to which different multivariate statistical methods of grouping were *** affinity between different ostracod assemblages from different regions allowed for the delineation of 30 operational geographic units(OGUs)for the Albian,and 32 OGUs for the Cenomanian,grouped in three paleobiogeographic units(PBUs;Megatethys,Persia,and Austral)and one sub-unit(PBSU;Maghreb associated to the Megatethys).The Maghreb PBSU showed minor changes between the Albian and *** relationship among the OGUs grouped in each PBU is related to different factors,such as eustatic sea level events,similar climatic zones,and marine current circulation patterns.A relationship was observed between the Gabon and Nigeria OGUs with the Persia PBU,which suggests a direct east—west connection between them during the *** affinity observed in the Austral PBU between the South American,South African,and Australian regions during the Albian can be explained by their relative geographic isolation due to the Walvis Ridge *** eventual flooding of this barrier led to the relationship observed between the SE Brazilian and Bolivian regions with the Austral ***,the data also suggested that the separation of the Indian subcontinent from the Austral PBU took place during the Cenomanian.

In the 1930s,plastic items started to acquire *** then,they have overcome many barriers and are now important to many facets of ***-consumer plastic,however,is an environmental problem of increasing *** and freshwater environments are being impaired by plastic pollution,which is mostly the result of improper post-use plastic *** I review recent literature on plastic effects to marine and freshwater environments,based on a Scopus ***'keywords were analyzed and *** depicted microplastics as a global concern for the environment,animals,and human health,and was identified as a primary research focus and emerging topic concerning plastic effects on marine and freshwater *** foremost research gap is the lack of clear connections between the effects of plastic on human health,animal health,and the *** pollution and its consequences on marine and freshwater environments are attributed primarily to human activity.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the most common causes of cancerrelated *** particular type of cancer has the distinctive characteristic of mostly happening in individuals with an underlying liver *** makes the management of patients more challenging,since physicians must take into consideration two different conditions,the chronic liver disease and the *** underlying liver disease has several implications in clinical practice,because different kinds of chronic liver disease can lead to varying degrees of risk of developing HCC,obstacles in surveillance,and differences in the efficacy of the treatment against HCC.A shift in the prevalence of liver diseases has been evident over the last few years,with viral hepatitis gradually losing the leading position as cause of HCC and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease gaining ***,in an era of personalized medicine,it is imperative that physicians are aware of the underlying liver disease of individuals with HCC and its impact in the management of their tumors.
