Federated Learning’s Role in Next-Gen TV Ad Optimization

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has become *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from broader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated Learning(FL)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,combining the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of global Machine Learning(ML)models to uncover actionable insights without compromising data *** combines linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with ML—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling problem,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools CP-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will be the result of the optimization ***,this output becomes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries based on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,Light Gradient Boosting Machine and Random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of FL to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different broadcasting networks while preserving data *** FL approach resulted in 8750 ads being precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation observed,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

This study was aimed to prepare landslide susceptibility maps for the Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand,India,using advanced ensemble models that combined Radial Basis Function Networks(RBFN)with three ensemble learning techniques:DAGGING(DG),MULTIBOOST(MB),and ADABOOST(AB).This combination resulted in three distinct ensemble models:DG-RBFN,MB-RBFN,and ***,a traditional weighted method,Information Value(IV),and a benchmark machine learning(ML)model,Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network(MLP),were employed for comparison and *** models were developed using ten landslide conditioning factors,which included slope,aspect,elevation,curvature,land cover,geomorphology,overburden depth,lithology,distance to rivers and distance to *** factors were instrumental in predicting the output variable,which was the probability of landslide *** analysis of the models’performance indicated that the DG-RBFN model,with an Area Under ROC Curve(AUC)of 0.931,outperformed the other *** AB-RBFN model achieved an AUC of 0.929,the MB-RBFN model had an AUC of 0.913,and the MLP model recorded an AUC of *** results suggest that the advanced ensemble ML model DG-RBFN was more accurate than traditional statistical model,single MLP model,and other ensemble models in preparing trustworthy landslide susceptibility maps,thereby enhancing land use planning and decision-making.

Magnetic particle-based immunoassays are widely used in microbiology-related assays for both microbial capture,separation,analysis,and *** facilitating sample operation,the implementation of micro-to-nanometer scale magnetic beads as a solid support potentially shortens the incubation time(for magnetic immuno capture)from several hours to less than an *** technologies based on magnetic beads offer a rapid,effective and inexpensive way to separate and concentrate the target analytes prior to ***-immuno separation uses magnetic particles coated with specific antibodies to capture target microorganisms,bear the corresponding antigens,and subsequently separate them from the sample matrix in a magnetic *** method has been proven effective in separating various types of pathogenic bacteria from environmental water samples and in eliminating background *** particles are often used to capture target cells(pathogenic bacteria)from *** most commercially available assays,the actual identification and quantitation of the captured cells is then performed by classical microbiological *** review highlights the most sensitive analytic methods(i.e.,long-range surface plasmon resonance and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy)to detect magnetically tagged bacteria in conjunction with magnetic actuation.

Adapted Metrics and Webster Curvature in Finslerian 2-Dimensional Geometry

The Webster scalar curvature is computed for the sphere bundle T_1S of a Finsler surface(S, F) subject to the Chern-Hamilton notion of adapted metrics. As an application,it is derived that in this setting(T_1S, g Sasaki) is a Sasakian manifold homothetic with a generalized Berger sphere, and that a natural Cartan structure is arising from the horizontal 1-forms and the author associates a non-Einstein pseudo-Hermitian structure. Also, one studies when the Sasaki type metric of T_1S is generally adapted to the natural co-frame provided by the Finsler structure.

A short review on cell-based biosensing:challenges and breakthroughs in biomedical analysis

Current cell-based biosensors have progressed substantially from mere alternatives to molecular bioreceptors into enabling tools for interfacing molecular machineries and gene circuits with microelectronics and for developing groundbreaking sensing and theragnostic *** recent literature concerning whole-cell biosensors is reviewed with an emphasis on mammalian cells,and the challenges and breakthroughs brought along in biomedical analyses through novel biosensing concepts and the synthetic biology *** recent innovations allow development of cell-based biosensing platforms having tailored performances and capable to reach the levels of sensitivity,dynamic range,and stability suitable for high analytic/medical *** also pave the way for the construction of flexible biosensing platforms with utility across biological research and clinical *** work is intended to stimulate interest in generation of cell-based biosensors and improve their acceptance and exploitation.

Operator Equations and Duality Mappings in Sobolev Spaces with Variable Exponents

After studying in a previous work the smoothness of the space where dr- measF0 〉 O, with p（.） E C（~） and p（x）〉 1 for all x E , the authors study in this paper the strict and uniform convexity as well as some special properties of duality mappings defined on the same space. The results obtained in this direction are used for proving existence results for operator equations having the form Ju = Niu, where J is a duality mapping on Uro corresponding to the gauge function ~, and Nf is the Nemytskij operator generated by a Caratheodory function f satisfying an appropriate growth condition ensuring that Nf may be viewed as acting from Ur0 into its dual.

Short-term effects of cleaning-respacing in a silver fir-dominated stand in romania

This paper discusses the early silviculture of silver fir(Abies alba Mill.), a major softwood in romania.covering more than 294,000 ha. Three research plots(DRP1, DRP2 and DRP3) were established in a 25-year-old silver fir-dominated stand in May 2012. In DRP1 and DRP2, heavy cleaning-respacing were carried out while DRP3 was kept as a control. After the treatments in 2012,the plots had stocking between 1470 trees ha-1(DRP2) and10,030 trees ha-1(DRP3), basal areas between11.8 m2ha-1(DRP2) and 31.6 m2ha-1(DRP3). The average diameters were between 5.7 cm(DRP3) and 9.6 cm(DRP2). Measurements in September 2016 confirmed the rapid response of silver fir to *** best results in average diameter increments and basal area between 2012 and 2016 were in DRP2: 3.7 cm(36.4%) and 7.7 m2ha-1(85.0%) respectively. The largest diameter trees in 2012 were the best growers, and a strong linear correlation between the initial diameter of the remaining trees and their increment was established. Natural dieback of trees occurred only in DRP3(8.6%). The selection of crop trees based on the vigour, quality, and spacing criteria during cleaning-respacing was possible as individuals stood out in terms of vigour and early diameter growth. An issue encountered in DRP1 and DRP2 was the occurrence of epicormic shoots, especially on less vigorous individuals with small crowns. However, four years after cleaning-respacing, these branches are small and do not significantly affect the wood quality.

Background： The quantitative impact of forest management on forests＇ wood resource was evaluated for Picea and Fagus mixed forests. The effects on the productivity of tendering operations, thinnings and rotation length have seldom been directly quantified on landscape scale. Methods： Two sites of similar fertility but subject to contrasted forest management were studied with detailed inventories： one in Germany, the other in romania. and compared with the respective national forest inventories. In romania. regulations impose very long rotations, low thinnings and a period of no-cut before harvest. In contrast, tending and thinnings are frequent and intense in Germany. Harvests start much earlier and must avoid clear cutting but maintain a permanent forest cover with natural regeneration. While Germany has an average annual wood increment representative for Central Europe, romania.represents the average for Eastern Europe. Results： The lack of tending and thinning in the romania. site resulted in twice as many trees per hectare as in the German site for the same age. The productivity in romania. production forests was 20 % lower than in Germany despite a similar fertility. The results were supported by the data from the national forest inventory of each country, which confirmed that the same differential exists at country scale. Furthermore, provided the difference in rotation length, two crops are harvested in Germany when only one is harvested in romania. The losses of production due to a lower level of management in romania.where estimated to reach 12.8 million m3.y-1 in regular mountain production forests, and to 15 million m3.y-1 if managed protection forest is included. Conclusions： The productivity of Picea and Fagus mountain forests in romania.is severely depressed by the lack of tending and thinning, by overly long rotations and the existence of a 25-years no-cut period prior to harvest. The average standing volume in Germany was 50 % lower than in romania.
