Moment redistribution Effect of the continuous Glass Fiber reinforced Polymer-concrete composite Slabs Based on Static Loading Experiment

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in continuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFrP)-concrete composite slabs caused by concrete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was conducted on continuous GFrP-concrete composite slabs,and a calculation method based on the conjugate beam method was *** composite slabs were formed by combining GFrP profiles with a concrete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span continuous composite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud connection,were used to connect the composite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen connected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:concrete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** contrast,the composite slab connected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the concrete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFrP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced compressive failure of concrete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of continuous GFrP-concrete composite slabs.

Modification of Maxwell model for conductivity prediction of carbon nanotubes-filled polymer composites with tunneling effect

Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have garnered great attention in recent years due to their outstanding electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties. The incorporation of small amounts of CNTs in polymers can substantially improve the sensitivity of the polymer's electrical conductivity. This paper presents a modified Maxwell model to evaluate the electrical conductivity of CNTs-filled polymer composites by introducing a transition zone to account for the tunneling effect. In this modified Maxwell model, the CNTs-filled polymer composite is modeled as a three-phase composite, consisting of a matrix(polymer), inclusions(CNTs), and a transition zone(tunneling zone). The effective electrical conductivity(EEC) of the composite is calculated based on the volume fractions and electrical conductivities of the matrix, inclusions, and transition zone. The model's validity is confirmed through the use of available test data, which demonstrates its capability to accurately capture the nonlinear conductivity behavior observed in CNTs-polymer composites. This study offers valuable insights into the design of high-performance conductive polymer nanocomposites, and enhances the understanding of electrical conduction mechanisms in CNT-dispersed polymer composites.

Effect of Nb content on the Hot Deformation Behavior of S460ML Steel

The hot deformation behavior of S460 ML steel with different Nb contents was investigated by single-pass compression experiment on the Gleeble-1500 thermo-machine simulator at deformation temperatures ranging from 900 to 1200 ℃ and strain rates from 0.1 to 5.0 s^(-1). The critical strain of dynamic recrystallization(DrC) under different conditions was determined by using working hardening rate-strain curves. The relationship between critical strain and peak strain of DrC was discussed. By means of regression analysis method, the hot deformation activation energy of steels and the mathematical model for predicting DrC critical strain were calculated and established, respectively. The results showed that DrC occurred during hot deformation. As the deformation temperature increased and strain rate decreased, the critical strain of DrC decreased. The critical strain(εc) showed linear relationship with peak strain(εp). As Nb content increased,the needed deformation temperature for occurring DrC increased, while the needed strain rate for it decreased. The activation energy for hot deformation of S460 ML steel increased with increasing Nb content.

Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIr/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

A high linearity SiGe HBT LNA for GPS receiver

A high linearity 1.575 GHz SiGe：HBT low noise amplifier （LNA） for global positioning system applications is described. The bipolar cascoded with an MOSFET LNA was fabricated in a commercial 0.18 μm SiGe BiCMOS process, A resistor bias feed circuit with a feedback resistor was designed for the LNA input transistor to improve its intermodulation and compression performance. The packaged chip tested on board has displayed a noise figure of 1. I 1 dB, a power gain of 18 dB, an output 1 dB compression point of ＋7.8 dBm and an input third-order intercept point of ＋1.8 dBm. The chip occupies a 500 × 560μm^2 area and consumes 3.6 mA from a 2.85 V power supply.

Aging Precipitation Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Inconel 617 Superalloy

Aging precipitation behavior and mechanical properties of Inconel 617 superalloy aged at 760℃ for up to 10000 h were investigated. The results showed that the precipitates of the aged alloy are M23C6 and M6C carbides and γ phase. The carbide particles precipitated both at the grain boundaries and within grains, and the γ phase particles were situated at intragranular sites in the process of aging. The carbide particles were discontinuously dispersed at grain boundaries after aging for 3000 h, while after aged for 5000 h the carbide particles are merged. The precipitates inside grains remained stable even after aging for 10000 h. The hardness was increased for the alloy aged for 300 h up to 3000 h, which was resulted primarily from the precipitation of carbides as discrete particles both at the grain boundaries and inside grains. Small quantity γ precipitates were formed inside grains, to some extent, which contributed to an enhanced hardness. However, a decrease of the hardness was observed after aging for 5000 h. A significant drop in toughness of the alloy aged for 300 h was attributed to the reduction of the bonding interface strength when carbides precipitated at grain boundaries. Thereafter, the toughness decreased slowly with the prolonged aging time. The high temperature tensile properties of the aged alloy are rather stable even aged for 300-3000 h.

Damped Oscillation of Liquid column in Vertical U-Tube for Newtonian and non-Newtonian Liquids

Damped oscillation of Newtonian liquid in a vertical U-tube is one of the well known phenomena and the solution of this liquid motion for the laminar flow regime in the circular pipe was solved, however, generally speaking, even if the period of the oscillational motion by this solution is nearly coincided with that of the experimental result, the estimation of the damped oscillational process with lapse of time by the solved equation is not in agreement with that of the experimental result. Therefore basing upon the experimental results of the velocity distributions of the oscillational motion in the circular U-tube for the Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquids, the velocity distribution of the Bingham plastic flow is assumed. The solutions of the damped oscillation and also of the vertical falling and rising velocities of the free surface in the vertical U-tube of the diameters D= 10mm, 20mm and 40mm are compared with water and water-glycerine solution for the Newtonian liquids and the acrylic co-polymer solutions for the non-Newtorlian liquid. The comparisons of these solved equations by the new flow model are shown in good agreement with the experimental results. The above stated results are described in detail.

Modeling and optimization of industrial Fischer–Tropsch synthesis with the slurry bubble column reactor and iron-based catalyst

To optimize industrial Fischer-Tropsch （IT） synthesis with the slurry bubble column reactor （SBCr） and iron- based catalyst, a comprehensive process model for IT synthesis that includes a detailed SBCr model, gas liquid separation model, simplified co2 removal model and tail gas cycle model was developed. An effective iteration algorithm was proposed to solve this process model, and the model was validated by industrial demonstration experiments data （SBCr with 5.8 m diameter and 30 m height）, with a maximum relative error 〈 10% for predicting the SBCr performances. Subsequently, the proposed model was adopted to optimize the industrial SBCr performances simultaneously considering process and reactor parameters variations. The results show that C5＋yield increases as catalyst loading increases within 10-70 ton and syngas H2/co value decreases within 1.3-1.6, but it doesn＇t increase obviously when the catalyst loading exceeds 45 ton （about 15 wt% concentration）. Higher catalyst loading will result in higher difficulty for wax/catalyst separation and higher catalyst cost. There- fore, the catalyst loading （45 ton） is recommended for the industrial demonstration SBCr operation at syngas H2/ co = 1.3, and the C5 ＋ yield is about 402 ton＂ per day, which has an about 16% increase than the industrial dem- onstration run result.

radiation pre-vulcanization effect on properties of the truck tyre's transition layer and the truck tyre

In this paper,the natural rubber is chosen as the main constituents for the transition layer of all-steel load radial tyre,which is pre-vulcanized by 500-keV E-beam irradiation of up to 60 *** results show that the green strength of transitional layer increases with the dose,reaching four times as much as the control(without irradiation) at 60 *** final mechanical properties do not differ significantly from those of the control except that the aging and fatigue performance ***,thickness of the natural rubber transitional layer for an average single tyre can be reduced by 1 mm(or 1.5 kg) without obvious adverse effect on tyre performance.

A simple and effective method to achieve the successful start-up of a current reference

Start-up design is a critical issue in current reference as it is very closely related to production yield. However, its function is difficult to predict using normal transaction simulations before the device is put into diffusion. In this paper, we discuss a simple and effective simulation approach which ensures a successful start-up process in a self-biased temperature independent current reference. The circuit is implemented in a class-D power amplifier with a 0.35 #m BiCMOS process and the experimental result validates that, by using this method, the start-up success rate can be greatly improved to 100%.
