Two novel 3d supramolecular architectures with hexamolybdate and phosphotungstate anions were syn- thesized under ionothermal conditions. The structures were named as [Cut（L1）2]2L2[Mo6O19]（1） and [Cur（L3）2]2.5· H0.5[PW12O40].H2O（2）（L1=2,2＇-bipyridine, L2=4,4＇-bipyridine, L3=2,2＇-biimidazole） and characterized via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIr） and FT-raman spectroscopy analyses. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the two compounds crystallized in the space group P1 and were constructed through hydrogen bonding.

Pretreatment of the corn stover powder by dilute sulphuric acid （solid-liquid ratio 1 ： 20） at 130 for 30 min was carried out with 89.09% of the hemicellulose removed. After filtration, the xylose-rich corn stover pretreatment liquid, whose fermentable sugar was from hemicellulose hydrolysis only, consisting of 81.16% xylose and 15.27% glucose, was used to cultivate genetic recombinant Escherichia coli BL21 with human-like collagen （HLC） expression enhanced by 50.00% and 63.71% xylose consumption.

The isomerization of covalent organic frameworks(COFs) materials is still a mysterious and attractive topic. diversified monomer structures are still urgently needed to explore the in-depth mechanism of isomerization in these special COFs. This work provides a new d2h monomer for the construction of [d2h+C2] 2d COFs isomers. A new d2h monomer adopted here was proven to tend to form a single pore framework structure.

A multidisciplinary optimization was conducted to simultaneously improve the efficiency and reduce the radial force of a single-channel pump for wastewater treatment. A hybrid multi-objective evolutionary algorithm was coupled with a surrogate model to optimize the geometry of the single-channel pump volute. Steady and unsteady reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with a shear stress transport turbulence model were discretized using finite volume approximations and were then solved on tetrahedral grids to analyze the flow in the single-channel pump. The three objective functions represented the total efficiency, the sweep area of the radial force during one revolution, and the distance of the mass center of sweep area from the origin while the two design variables were related to the cross-sectional area of the internal flow of the volute. Latin hypercube sampling was employed to generate twelve design points within the design space, and response surface approximation models were constructed as surrogate models for the objectives based on the values of the objective function at the given design points. A fast non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm for local search was coupled with the surrogate models to determine the global Pareto-optimal solutions. The trade-off between the objectives was determined and was described in terms of the Pareto-optimal solutions. The results of the multi-objective optimization showed that the optimum design simultaneously improved the efficiency and reduced the radial force relative to those of the reference design.

Spatially-coupled low-density parity-check(SC-LdPC)codes are prominent candidates for fu-ture communication standards due to their‘threshold saturation’***,when facing burst erasures,the decoding process will stop and the decoding performances will dramatically *** improve the ability of burst erasure corrections,this paper proposes a two-dimensional SC-LdPC(2d-SC-LdPC)codes constructed by parallelly connecting two asymmetric SC-LdPC coupled chains for resistance to burst *** evolution algorithm is presented to evaluate the as-ymptotic performances against burst erasures,by which the maximum correctable burst erasure length can be *** analysis results show that the maximum correctable burst erasure lengths of the proposed 2d-SC-LdPC codes are much larger than the SC-LdPC codes and the asym-metric SC-LdPC ***-length performance simulation results of the 2d-SC-LdPC codes over the burst erasure channel confirm the excellent asymptotic performances.

Young′s Modulus of concrete is studied on the basis of triaxial compressive experiments. The authors proposed two empirical equations to calculate its static Young′s modulus and dynamic Young′s modulus when dynamic Poisson ratio μ d varies nearby 0.20.P wave velocity and elastic modulus have the same varying tendency as letter N. μ,μ d decrease with the increase of loading rate and μ d has a great effect on the parameters E d and E d.

Free-standing and fexible air electrodes with long-lasting bifunctional activities for both the oxygen reduction reaction(Orr)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OEr)are crucial to the development of wearable Zn-air rechargeable *** this work,we synthesize a fexible air electrode consisting of 3d nanoporous N-doped graphene with trimodal shells and Ni particles through repeated chemical vapor deposition(CVd)and acidic etching *** results indicate that such trimodal graphene morphology significantly enhances the active N-dopant sites and graphene-coated Ni surface,which consequentially boosts both the Orr and OEr activities,as well as catalytic ***-principles density functional theory(dFT)calculations reveal the synergetic effects between the Ni and the N-doped graphene;namely,the Ni nanoparticles boost the bifunctional activities of the coated N-doped graphene,and in turn the graphene-covering layers enhance the stability of *** to the better protection from the triple graphene shells,our trimodal N-doped graphene/Ni-based Zn-air battery can be stably discharged/recharged beyond 2500 h with low *** is reasonable to expect that such freestanding trimodal graphene/Ni would be promising in many fexible energy conversion/storage devices.

Photoaging is an accelerating aging process of the skin due to prolonged exposure to UV from the Sun or other sources. Herbal extracts, natural compounds, and bioactive polypeptides have widely used in cosmetic agents for protection of the skin against photoaging. This mini review briefly summarizes topical use of selected most common medicinal herbs, naturopathic chemicals, and bioactive peptides examined for skin protection.
