The presence of endogenous neural stem/progenitor cells in the adult mammalian brain suggests that the central nervous system can be repaired and regenerated after ***,whether it is possible to stimulate neurogenesis and reconstruct cortical layers II to VI in non-neurogenic regions,such as the cortex,remains *** this study,we implanted a hyaluronic acid collagen gel loaded with basic fibroblast growth factor into the motor cortex immediately following traumatic *** findings reveal that this gel effectively stimulated the proliferation and migration of endogenous neural stem/progenitor cells,as well as their differentiation into mature and functionally integrated ***,these new neurons reconstructed the architecture of cortical layers II to VI,integrated into the existing neural circuitry,and ultimately led to improved brain *** findings offer novel insight into potential clinical treatments for traumatic cerebral cortex injuries.

Deep learning has shown potential in domains with large-scale annotated ***,manual annotation is expensive,time-consuming,and ***-level annotations are particularly costly for semantic segmentation in images with dense irregular patterns of object instances,such as in plant *** this work,we propose a method for developing high-performing deep learning models for semantic segmentation of such images utilizing little manual *** a use case,we focus on wheat head *** synthesize a computationally annotated dataset—using a few annotated images,a short unannotated video clip of a wheat field,and several video clips with no wheat—to train a customized U-Net *** the distribution shift between the synthesized and real images,we apply three domain adaptation steps to gradually bridge the domain *** using two annotated images,we achieved a Dice score of 0.89 on the internal test *** further evaluated on a diverse external dataset collected from 18 different domains across five countries,this model achieved a Dice score of *** expose the model to images from different growth stages and environmental conditions,we incorporated two annotated images from each of the 18 domains to further fine-tune the *** increased the Dice score to *** result highlights the utility of the proposed approach in the absence of large-annotated *** our use case is wheat head segmentation,the proposed approach can be extended to other segmentation tasks with similar characteristics of irregularly repeating patterns of object instances.

Objective:To identify the incidence rate,relative risk,hotspot regions and incidence trend of COVID-19 in qom province,northwest part of Iran in the first stage of the ***:The study included 1125 officially reported PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19 from 20 February 2020 to 20 April 2020 in 90 regions in qom city,*** Bayesian hierarchical spatial model was used to model the relative risk of COVID-19 in qom city,and the segmented regression model was used to estimate the trend of COVID-19 incidence *** Poisson distribution was applied for the observed number of COVID-19,and independent Gamma prior was used for inference on log-relative risk parameters of the ***:The total incidence rate of COVID-19 was estimated at 89.5 per 100000 persons in qom city(95%CI:84.3,95.1).According to the results of the Bayesian hierarchical spatial model and posterior probabilities,43.33%of the regions in qom city have relative risk greater than 1;however,only 11.11%of them were significantly greater than *** on Geographic Information Systems(GIS)spatial analysis,10 spatial clusters were detected as active and emerging hotspot areas in the south and central parts of the *** downward trend was estimated 10 days after the reporting of the first case(February 7,2020);however,the incidence rate was decreased by an average of 4.24%per day(95%CI:−10.7,−3.5).Conclusions:Spatial clusters with high incidence rates of COVID-19 in qom city were in the south and central regions due to the high population *** GIS could depict the spatial hotspot clusters of COVID-19 for timely surveillance and decision-making as a way to contain the disease.

Megaloblastic anemias are a group of hematologic disorders in which abnormal DNA synthesis causes blood and bone marrow disorders. This type of anemias occurs as a result of folic acid deficiency or impaired vitamin B12 absorption. The prevalence of this type of anemia is highly variable worldwide and megaloblastic anemia caused by lack of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is rare during pregnancy [1]. In this case report, we report follow-ups conducted for a pregnant 33-year-old woman, G2, P1, with a history of previous natural childbirth who attended Kamali Hospital due to labor pain associated with severe thrombocytopenia. Although this woman was injected 10 units of PLT and also vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), folic acid and corticosteroids in the course of treatment, her platelet level has not yet returned to normal levels after 6 months and she is still being treated.

Magnetic-silver nanostructures were synthesized via optimized chemical conditions, and their characteristics and cytotoxicity were compared as candidates for the magnetic delivery of silver nanoparticles toward cancer cells. Magnetic-silver nanostructures were prepared through the reduction of silver ions in the presence of iron oxide nanoparticles using three different reducing agents （glucose, maltose and sodium citrate）. Their physicochemical characteristics were determined using ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction analysis, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry and differential scanning calorimetry. Cytotoxic activities were evaluated against a human liver hepatocellular carcinoma cell line. Fabricated nanostructures, which exhibit differences in size, silver content, magnetic saturation value and cytotoxicity, represent sufficient superparamagnetic properties and considerable cytotoxicity to be suggested as effective tools in magnetic targeting of silver nanoparticles as an approach to cancer therapy.

Isotropic Berwald metrics are as a generalization of Berwald metrics. Shen proved that every Berwald metric is of vanishing S-curvature. In this paper, we generalize this fact and prove that every isotropic Berwald metric is of isotropic S-curvature. Let F = α + β be a Randers metric of isotropic Berwald curvature. Then it corresponds to a conformal vector field through navigation representation.
