Identification and ranking of the risky organic co.taminants in the source water of the Danjiangkou reservoir

The Danjiangkou reservoir was selected to provide the source water for the middle routes of the South to North Water Transfer Project, which has provoked many environmental co.cerns. To date, investigations of water co.tamination of the source water of the Danjiangkou reservoir with organic micro-pollutants have been limited. This study was co.ducted to identify and rank organic co.taminants that pose risks in the Danjiangkou reservoir. To this end, the Chemical Hazard Evaluation and Manage- ment Strategies （CHEMS-1） approach was adapted to integrate the deco.volution technology of qualitative identifying co.taminants for site-specific environmental matrices. The samples were screened for the presence of 1093 co.taminants using deco.volution technologies and the hazard values of the identified co.taminants were calculated using the adapted CHEMS-1 approach acco.d- ing to their hazardous properties and occurrence in source water. The results showed that 46 co.taminants from 1093 targets were present in Danjiangkou water, 23 of which appeared at frequencies higher than 50%, and 15 of which were identified as priorities. Over half （53%） of the high- ranked co.taminants were polycyclic aromatic hydrocar- bons （PAHs）, with chrysene ranked highest on the list. Health risk assessment of the top-ranked PAHs was co.ducted and revealed that cancer risks of PAHs detected in the source water of Danjiangkou to different populations ranged from 10-7 to 104, indicating a low cancer risk to co.sumers. The results of this study indicated that the adapted CHEMS-1 approach was feasible for site-specific screening of organic co.taminants to identify and rank potential priority pollutants.

A karst groundwater system ranks among the most sensitive and vulnerable types of groundwater *** mining and tunnel excavation can greatly change the natural hydrogeological flow system,groundwater-dependent vegetation,soil,as well as hydrology of surface water *** co.l mine caves and proposed highway tunnels may have significant influences on groundwater *** study employs MODFLOW,a 3D finite-difference groundwater model software,to simulate the groundwater system's response to co.l mining and tunnel excavation impact in Zhongliang Mountain,Chongqing,from 1948 to *** results show a regional decline in groundwater levels within the study area following mining and tunnel *** groundwater flow system in the study area evolves from the Jialing River groundwater flow system to enco.pass the Jialing River,Moxinpo highway tunnel,Moxinpo,and the Liujiagou co.l mine cave groundwater flow systems between 1948 and *** the co.pletion of tunnel co.struction,the groundwater level at the top of the tunnel is gradually restored to the water level in the natural *** model also predicts groundwater level variations between 2025 and *** groundwater level will rise further initially,however,it may take about 10 years for the system to stabilize and reach a new *** light of these findings,it is advised that changes in groundwater flow systems caused by tunnel co.struction should be modeled prior to the practical *** approach is crucial for evaluating potential engineering and environmental implications.

With the characteristics of co.l seam geology and gas occurrence,a'ground-underground' integrated gas drainage method was formed,which can relieve gaspressure and increase permeability by mining the protection seams in co.ditional *** co.l seam gas drainage,high gas outburst seam was co.verted to low gas *** the co.l face mining process,safety and high efficient co.l mining were realizedby the measure of gas-suction over *** addition to the drainage gas for civil gasand gas power generation,the Huaibei Mining group has actively carried out research onthe utilization technology of methane drainage by *** the one hand,it can saveprecious energy;on the other hand,it can protect the environment for people's ***2007,the amount of co.l mine gas drainage was 120 hm3;the rate of co.l mine gasdrainage was 44%.co.pared with the year 2002,the amount of co.l mine gas drainageincreased by two ***,the utilization rate of gas increased rapidly.

This paper proposes a distributed robust optimal dispatch model to enhance information security and interaction among the operators in the regional integrated energy system(RIES).Our model regards the distribution network and each energy hub(EH)as independent operators and employs robust optimization to improve operational security caused by wind and photovoltaic(PV)power output uncertainties,with only deterministic information exchanged across *** paper also adopts the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)algorithm to facilitate secure information interaction among multiple RIES operators,maximizing the benefit for each ***,the traditional ADMM algorithm with fixed step size is modified to be adaptive,addressing issues of redundant interactions caused by suboptimal initial step size settings.A case study validates the effectiveness of the proposed model,demonstrating the superiority of the ADMM algorithm with adaptive step size and the eco.omic benefits of the distributed robust optimal dispatch model over the distributed stochastic optimal dispatch model.

To investigate the paleoenvironmental co.trols on organic matter accumulation of Upper Paleozoic shales in the eastern Ordos Basin,China,26 shale samples were co.lected from two wells drilled into the Shanxi and Taiyuan *** total organic carbon(TOC)co.tent,mineral co.positions and elemental geochemistry of the samples were ***(35.42%)and clay minerals(48.34%)are the dominant minerals and trace elements(Li,Cs,Cu,V,co.and Cr)are co.monly enriched in the shale samples co.pared to the Upper co.tinental Crust.C-values(ranging from 0.2 to 4.5),chemical indices of weathering(CIW)values(48.82 to 99.11),and Sr/Cu ratios(1.00 to 11.05)suggest that the paleoclimate was humid in the study area during the Late *** redox indices(e.g.,Al_(2)O_(3)/(Al_(2)O_(3)+Fe_(2)O_(3)),V/Cr,Ni/co.V/(V+Ni)and U/Th)indicate a dysoxic to oxic paleoenvironment characterized by transi-tional sedimentary deposits in a co.tinental margin *** addition,chemical index of alteration(CIA,ranging from 77.92%to 98.36%)and CIW(89.19%to 99.11%)values suggest that there was intense chemical weathering in the study area,while the Al_(2)O_(3)-CaO^(*)+Na_(2)O-K_(2)O(A-CN-K)ternary diagram demonstrates that the shales were not subjected to potassium metasomatism during ***_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2)and TiO_(2)/Zr ratios,as well as REE characteristics suggest a felsic source rocks and disco.nt seawater as an REE *** anomalies indicate an oxic environment with terrigenous input during black shale deposition,and LREE enrichment with negative Eu anomalies suggests that both shale formations were affected by detrital input rather than hydrothermal *** co.relation of TOC(ranging from 1.10%to 6.39%,with an average of 2.77%)with trace elemental redox indices(Sr/Cu,Sr/Ba,V/Cr,and U/Th)indicates that a warm-humid,dysoxic to oxic environment preserved much of the organic matter.

As high amounts of new energy and electric vehicle(EV)charging stations are co.nected to the distribution network,the voltage deviations are likely to occur,which will further affect the power *** is challenging to manage high quality voltage co.trol of a distribution network only relying on the traditional reactive power co.trol *** the reactive power regulation potentials of new energy and EVs can be tapped,it will greatly reduce the reactive power optimization pressure on the *** this in mind,our reasearch first adds EVs to the traditional distribution network model with new forms of energy,and then a multi-objective optimization model,with achieving the lowest line loss,voltage deviation,and the highest static voltage stability margin as its objectives,is ***,the co.responding model parameters are set under different climate and equipment ***,the optimization model under specific scenarios is ***,co.sidering the supply and demand relation-ship of the network,an improved technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution decision method is proposed,which aims to judge the adaptability of different algorithms to the optimized model,so as to select a most suitable algorithm for the ***,a co.parison is made between the co.structed model and a model without new *** results reveal that the co.structed model can provide a high quality reactive power regula-tion strategy.

Mathematical model of solute [C] distribution in twin-roll strip casting process has been setup successfully with Calco.oft for the first time. Simulation result shows that in the center of the molten steel pool between the two rolls there is a vortex flow, which is a solute enriched area. But the highest solute co.centration position is at the solidification front of the co.umnar grain zone near the co.ling roll surface. Another solute enriched position is in the back flow above the nip point. co.bined with the formation mechanism of microstruoture in final as cast strip, analysis shows that solute enriched area is in the transitional area between co.umnar and equiaxed grain zone.

Virome identification in wheat in the Czech Republic using small RNA deep sequencing

High-throughput deep-sequencing technology and bioinformatics analysis of the small RNA(sRNA)population isolated from plants allows universal virus detection and co.plete virome reco.struction for a given *** the present sRNA deep-sequencing analysis of virus-infected wheat samples in the Czech Republic,samples were firstly tested for barley yellow dwarf viruses(BYDVs),wheat streak mosaic virus(WSMV)and wheat dwarf virus(WDV)using ELISA,RT-PCR and *** sRNA sequencing of these samples yielded more than^60 million single-end 50-bp reads with high co.fidence for nine field samples of ***,16.5%of reads were virus-specific and 83.5%were mapped to the *** 21-nt reads(-7.7E+06 reads)were found than 24-nt(~6.20E+06 reads)or 22-nt(-4.30E+06 reads)*** novo assembly of the high-quality co.tigs revealed the presence of three earlier repoted viruses in the Czech Republic:BYDVs(31.48%),WSMV(24.23%)and WDV(2666%).We also showed the presence of cereal yellow dwarf virus(14.33%;two species CYDV-RPS and CYDV-RPV family Luteoviridae/Polerovirus)and wheat yellow dwarf virus(WYDV,3.30%;Luteoviridae).Phylogenetic analysis showed CYDV and WYDV grouped separately from ***,several reco.bination breakpoints were found among the groups of yellow dwarf viruses(BYDVs,CYDV,and WYDV).Using RNA deep sequencing,we co.firmed the presence of the three known viruses(BYDVs,WSMV,and WDV)and the first reco.d of two species of CYDV and WYDV in wheat in the Czech Republic.
