A method for support stiffness failure identification in a steel spring floating slab track of urban railway: a case study in China

The extensive use of steel spring floating slab tracks has effectively addressed the challenge of alleviating the environmental vibrations induced by urban rail transit ***,under the co.bined action of train dynamic loads and co.plex environmental factors,problems,such as the fracture of steel spring vibration isolators and suspension vibrations induced by the uneven settlement of the base,often *** failure of isolator support stiffness is often hidden in its early stages and is challenging to identify by co.ventional detection *** the same time,it will aggravate the wheel-rail interaction,accelerate the deterioration of track structure,and even affect the driving *** study first establishes a detailed co.pled train-floating slab track-foundation analytical *** the influence of the vibration isolator support stiffness failure on the dynamic indices of the floating slab track system response is analyzed.A set of defect identification methods that can detect the number of failed steel springs,severity of damage,and their location is ***,an intelligent monitoring system for support stiffness of floating slab track is built by co.bining the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise algorithm and statistical data analysis and is applied to a rail line in southern *** a three-year monitoring campaign,a suspension failure and a fracture of a steel spring were each successfully detected and detailed failure information was *** investigation results were co.sistent with the damage identification *** repair,the track structure dynamic response returned to the average pre-damage level and further deterioration had been *** proposed damage identification methods and monitoring system provide an approach for intelligent identification of track structure support stiffness failures.

Flow Characteristics of Crude Oil with High Water Fraction during Non-heating Gathering and transportation

In order to ensure the safety of the non-heating gathering and transportation processes for high water fraction crude oil,the effect of temperature,water fraction,and flow rate on the flow characteristics of crude oil with high water fraction was studied in a flow experimental system of the X *** distinct flow patterns were identified by the photographic and local sampling ***,three new flow patterns were found to occur below the pour point of crude oil,including EW/O&W stratified flow with gel deposition,EW/O&W intermittent flow with gel deposition,and water single-phase flow with gel ***,two characteristic temperatures,at which the change rate of pressure drop had changed obviously,were found during the change of pressure *** characteristic temperature of the first co.gestion of gel deposition in the pipeline was determined to be the safe temperature for the non-heating gathering and transportation of high water cut crude oil,while the pressure drop reached the peak at this *** empirical formula for the safe temperature was established for oil-water flow with high water fraction/low fluid production *** results can serve as a guide for the safe operation of the non-heating gathering and transportation of crude oil in high water fraction oilfields.

Influence of relative co.paction and degree of saturation on the deformation characteristics of bentonite under freeze-thaw cycles

Bentonite,co.sisting of clay minerals of the montmorillonite group,has been widely used as an adsorbent and backfill material in nuclear waste disposal and groundwater *** is challenging to use bentonite as a filling material in co.d regions since bentonite is highly sensitive to thermal environmental changes,during which its bulk volume and microstructure change *** this study,a series of one-dimensional and three-dimensional freeze-thaw tests were carried out within a closed system to investigate the influencing factors of the deformation of bentonite under freeze-thaw *** show that the initial soil water co.tent greatly impacts bentonite's deformation during freeze-thaw *** an initial higher degree of saturation(Sr),the expansion caused by the formation of ice lenses has a greater impact than the shrinkage induced by dehydration,ice-cementation,and so ***,bentonite tends to shrink at a lower degree of saturation during *** the critical degree of saturation that determines bentonite's behavior of frost heave or frost shrinkage seems to be roughly *** the number of freeze-thaw cycles rises,initially unco.pacted bentonite clay beco.es more co.pacted,and initially co.pacted bentonite clay remains unchanged.

Structural optimization design of a bolster based on a simulation-driven design

A simulation-driven design method which uses multiple optimization methods can effectively promote innovative structural design tion analysis can enormously improve the efficiency of modelling and *** study establishes a general workflow of structural and reduce the product development ***,the sub-model technology which has more detailed simulation and optimizaoptimization for a stainless-steel metro bolster by co.bining the simulation-driven design method and sub-model *** the sub-model definition phase,the end underframe sub-model which co.tains the bolster is obtained based on the whole car body finite element(FE)model,and the effectiveness of the end underframe sub-model is also *** the co.ceptual design phase,the is determined acco.ding to manufacturing processes and design *** the detailed design phase,the thickness of each topology path inside the bolster is obtained by the topology method and the optimized structure of the inner ribs inside the bolster part of the bolster is determined by size *** simulation analyses indicate that the requirements of static strength and can be decreased by 17.79% co.pared with the original bolster structure,which means that not only the lightweight design goal fatigue strength are fulfilled by the optimized bolster ***,the weight can be reduced by 11.18% and the weld length is *** also the welding auantity and manufacturing difficulty are geatly *** results show the effectiveness of the simulation-driven design method based on the sub-model technology in the structural optimization for key parts of rail transit vehicles.

在列车撞击动力学中,简化的刚体模型被广泛应用于研究列车耐撞性,以及进一步优化列车在冲击载荷下的能量分布。然而忽略弹性波传播对列车耐撞性能的影响尚不清楚。为了解决这一问题,本文建立了简化的一维弹性车体模型,并研究了弹性波传播对列车能量耗散以及动力学特性的影响。基于经典的弹性波传播理论,提出了一种密度及弹性模量缩比准则,使一维弹性车体的运动特性与其横截面积无关。讨论了弹性波传播速度对不同冲击速度下三节编组列车在冲击工况下的能量吸收、弹性能储存以及车体最终的等效平衡速度的影响。研究发现,当弹性波的传播速度约为3500 m/s时,一维弹性车体与实际列车模型的一致性最好。在初始冲击速度为10、15和20 m/s时,简化的一维弹性模型吸能量与实际列车模型相比误差仅为2.56%、1.84%和1.45%,而简化的刚性模型能量吸收量比实际列车模型高10.7%、12.4%和14.8%,刚性模型显著高估了列车的能量吸收量。我们的研究结果可以促进列车在碰撞条件下的耐撞性设计和优化。
