A novel method of fast and sensitive SERS detection using GMA-EDMA porous material combined with a miniature device was reported in this study. A 100 μL solution containing sample, silver colloid and NaC1 was evenly mixed to ensure the sample molecules would adsorb onto silver nanoparticles. Then the mixture was added onto the porous material surface slowly, so that the aggregation of silver colloid would stay on the surface while the liquid components would flow away. This technology can improve the sensitivity of SERS detection. By this method, two pesticides tricyclazole and paraquat were successfully detected at concentrations of 5 × 10 3 mg/L and I × 10-3 mg/L, respectively.

In this work, a sensitive, rapid and simple method for the determination of trace amounts of potassium ferrocyanide in salinized foods and table salt using EV as a RRS probe is established. The detection limit （3σ） of the EV system is 7.8 ng/mL. This new method is more suitable for the determination of the trace amounts of potassium ferrocyanide in colour salinized foods and it can not be disturbed by the color of salinized foods.

Conformations of surface atoms in various stages of nanogold-based genechip testing are scanned by the atomic force and scanning tunneling microscope. We intuitively observe the process and differences in probe combination, nucleic acid hybridization, and silver staining, which might be useful to validate the assay method of genechip. We hope to use this technology to make the other invisible chemical or biochemical reaction become visible and convincible in the future.

Objective Solar ultraviolet （UV） radiation is an important environmental factor that affects human health. The understanding of diurnal variations of UV radiation at anatomical sites may be helpful in developing ways to protect humans from the harmful effects of UV radiation. Methods In order to characterize the diurnal variations, the UV exposure values were measured at 30 min intervals by using Solar-UV Sensors and a rotating manikin in Shenyang city of China （41°51＇N, 123°27%）. Measurement data for four representative days （in each of the four seasons respectively） were analyzed. Results The diurnal variations in solar UV radiation at the shoulder, the forehead and the chest were similar to those associated with a horizontal control measurement. However, the diurnal variations at the eye and the cheek exhibited bimodal distributions with two peaks in spring, summer and autumn, and a unimodal distribution in winter. The UV exposure peaks at the eye and the cheek were measured at solar elevation angles （SEA） of about 30° and 40°, respectively. Conclusion The protection of some anatomical sites such as the eye from high UV exposure should not be focused solely on the periods before and after noon, especially in the places and seasons with high SEA.

The airflow in the reed groove of the air jet loom for the weft insertion includes the jet stream from the relay nozzle, the back leak stream from the reed, and the diffusion stream from the open side. The air velocity in the reed groove can be measured to analyze the influence of process parameters during the weft insertion. The relation between the air velocity and the relay nozzle distance, the jet angle or the supply pressure of the relay nozzle can be studied. In this paper, the pitot tube is applied to measure the air velocity in reed groove by the instrument designed. And the results indicate that the air velocity fluctuation in the reed groove is strong, and can drop from 150 m·s-1 to 80 m·s-1 drastically.

The built-up effect of inorganic compounds containing more active metal ions, such as Ca^2＋ , Al^3＋ , Cu^2＋ , and Zn^2＋ , as additives adding to phosphorus-containing flame retarding systems in suppression of smoke was studied. The data presented herein suggested that the amount of smoke in the burning process can be better suppressed after the cotton fabric finishing with built-up system was burnt. Some general principles were identified, and the likely causes of the observed effects were analyzed according to test data.

The use of supercritical fluid carbon dioxide (SFCO2) in extraction of lanolin and its alcohol is superior to the conventional solvent extraction method. Its distinctive advantages include high extractive ratio, nontoxic and nonflammable solvents, and minimal by -product pollution. The resulting refined lanolin and its alcohol have light color and little odor, and can be used as raw materials for high grade cosmetic products.

Increases in the number of cases of identified genetically modified （GM） rice contamination can be traced back to the first Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed （RASFF） in 2006. In response to the lack of reliable detection methods, Decision 2011/884/EU proposed that new screening methods replace Decision 2008/289/EC, to identify all possible GM rice products originating in China. However, the synergy brands （SYBR） Green real-time PCR assay proposed by Decision 2011/884/EU has been shown to lack conformity with other TaqMan methods currently in use. To evaluate the specificity and repeatability of the methods recommended in Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/EC, we collected 74 rice products originating from six countries or districts. The 74 rice samples were tested using the Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/ EC methods. The parallel use of different instruments and reagents were used for testing in parallel, and the results were analyzed statistically. To avoid the limitations of specific laboratories, eight GM organism detection laboratories in China participated in a collaborative trial. In our tests, 24.3% （18/74） of the samples tested were positive with the SYBR Green real-time PCR assay using the Decision 2011/884/EU method, but were negative with the TaqMan real-time PCR assay using the Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/EC methods. Sequencing the PCR-amplified CrylA（b/c） genes in three samples （6, 30 and 43） showed that the products consisted of primer dimers rather than the targeted sequence. The combined experimental results showed that testing for the nopaline synthase gene （NOS） of Agrobacterium tumefasciens terminator and CrylA（b/c） produced false-positive results when the Decision 2011/884/EU method was used. Because of the high rate of false-positive results, the Decision 2011/884/EU SYBR Green method to detect GM rice requires improvement.

ABSTRAC Two new complexes [Cd（2,4＇-bpdc）（DPPZ）]2n·n H2O（1） and [Zn（2,4＇-Hbpdc）2（DPPZ）]· H2O（DPPZ = dipyrido[3,2-a：2＇,3＇-c]phenazine, 2,4＇-H2bpdc = 2,4＇-biphenyldicarboxylic acid） have been hydrothermally synthesized. The structure of complex 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction diffraction and further characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, powder X-ray diffraction（XRD） and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 has 1D chains, which are further connected by π-π stacking interactions of neighbouring chains, generating a steady 3D supramolecular structure. Complex 2 shows the isolated mononuclear units, which are further extended to a 2D supramolecular layered structure through π-π stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds. Furthermore, complexes 1 and 2 exhibit green photoluminescent properties at room temperature.
