Two of the main cellular pathways in which the RAS protein operates are the mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) and phosphoinositide-3 kinase (PI3K) pathways. In a normal cell, these are important in controlling several functions, such as cell growth and survival. It becomes self-evident that these events will be disrupted in a malignant cell with a deregulated MAPK or PI3K pathway. Mutations in genes involved in these pathways and interacting with RAS, as well as RAS itself will be discussed. The second part of this review concentrates on how crucial RAS signaling is in colorectal cancer progression, with references to treatment response and prognosis when RAS or other related mutations are present.

BACKGROUND Invasive cervical resorption(ICR), a commonly misdiagnosed condition, is an aggressive form of external tooth resorption that contributes to periodontal tissue inflammation and deepening of the periodontal pockets. Herein we report the case of a patient, exhibiting ICR and elaborate the effects of a non-surgical approach in the amelioration of this *** SUMMARY A 21-year-old female reporting intermittent pain at the upper left side, multiple restorations, no trauma history, and having received orthodontic treatment was studied. Localized erythematous swelling was noted at the buccal interdental papilla between the left maxillary first molar and second premolar. The diseased pulp and tissue in resorption were removed and the root canal system including the defect were sealed using gutta percha/AH Plus and mineral trioxide aggregate(MTA). At the one-year recall, the tooth showed no symptoms and responded normally to percussion and palpation. The surrounding periodontium exhibited a normal color and the probing depth was normal. Radiographic examination showed a restoration of crestal alveolar bone and good adaption to *** Non-surgical root canal treatment in conjunction with resorption defect orthograde repair with MTA was found to be an effective treatment option in the elimination of ICR. Early diagnoses are recommended in order to employ nonsurgical approaches for management of ICR instead of surgical interventions.

Ameloblastic carcinoma is a rare odontogenic tumor exhibiting histological evidence of malignancy in the primary or recurrent tumor. It is characterized by rapid, painful expansion of the jaw, unlike conventional ameloblastomas. The tumor most frequently involves the mandible. The expanding lesion causes perforation of the buccal and lingual plates of the jaw and invades the surrounding soft tissue. Rapidly growing large tumor mass may cause tooth mobility. A mandibular tumor involving the mental nerve leads to paresthesia of the nerve. A maxillary tumor can produce a fistula in the palate and paresthesia of the infraorbital nerve. Most ameloblastic carcinomas are presumed to have arisen de novo with a few cases of malignant transformation of ameloblastomas. Although rare, these lesions have been known to metastasize, mostly to the regional lymph nodes or lungs. A case of ameloblastic carcinoma in a 60-year-old man is reported here and its clinical, radiological and histological features are discussed.

Periodontitis is the chronic destructive disease of the periodontium （Gums） caused by host bacterial interactions. The effect of such host bacterial interactions in oral cavity also evokes a systemic response. Numerous studies have found common mechanisms of destruction for periodontal diseases and other chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, respiratory diseases, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Oral colonization by respiratory pathogens appears to be a risk factor for development of respiratory diseases and oral interventions aimed at reducing oral bacterial count have resulted in reduced incidence of these reparatory illness. This reflects the importance of oral hygiene among patients with respiratory illness. This review highlights the association between periodontal diseases and respiratory diseases.

BACKGROUND Contemporary innovations in the area of local anesthesia have attempted to provide an absolutely pain free experience for *** the introduction of Computer-Controlled Local Anesthetic Delivery Systems to dentistry,many studies have compared its efficacy and safety to conventional ***,very few studies have compared single tooth anesthesia(STA)and traditional local *** To compare pain rating,changes in blood pressure,and heart rate during the local anesthetic *** secondary objectives were to measure the patients’level of satisfaction and the differences in anesthetic efficiency between the STA system and traditional local *** A randomized controlled trial was conducted and a total of 80 patients with dental restorative needs were enrolled for the *** patients were evaluated for their general physical status and oral clinical findings before *** regarding perceived pain,changes in heart rate and blood pressure,and patients’satisfaction was collected using an electronic data form and was analyzed using paired and unpaired *** No significant difference was noted in perceived pain(P=0.59)and systolic blood pressure(P=0.09)during anesthetic injection using both traditional and STA *** patients had a significantly higher heart rate during anesthesia,although a statistically significant difference was noted among the traditional anesthesia and the STA groups even before *** the restorative procedure,less pain was perceived by STA patients on the Wong-Baker FACES pain scale,which was statistically significant(P<0.001).Analyses of post-procedure patient responses showed that STA patients had a significantly better treatment experience and preferred to have the same method of injection in the future(P=0.04).CONCLUSION STA system can provide less painful and more comfortable restorative treatment procedures in comparison to the traditional infil

In this speculative analysis, our main focused is to address the neurotic condition that occurs due to accumulation of blood components on the wall of the artery that results in blood coagulation. Specifically, to perceive this phenomena clot model is considered. To discuss this analysis mathematical model is formed in the presence of the effective thermal conductivity and variable viscosity of base fluid. Appropriate slip conditions are employed to obtain the close form solutions of temperature and velocity profile. The graphical illustrations have been presented for the assessment of pressure rise, pressure gradient and velocity profile. The effects of several parameters on the flow quantities for theoretical observation are investigated. At the end, the results confirmed that the impulsion of copper and silver nanoparticles as drug agent enlarges the amplitude of the velocity and hence nanoparticles play an important role in engineering and biomedical applications such as drug delivery system.
