BACKGROUND The management of offenders with mental disorders has been a significant concern in forensic *** Japan,the introduction of the Medical Treatment and Supervision Act in 2005 addressed the ***,numerous psychiatric patients at risk of violence still find themselves subject to the administrative involuntary hospitalization(AIH)scheme,which lacks clarity and updated *** To explore current as well as optimized learning strategies for risk assessment in AIH decision *** We conducted a questionnaire survey among designated psychiatrists to explore their experiences and expectations regarding training methods for psychiatric assessments of offenders with mental *** The findings of this study’s survey suggest a prevalent reliance on traditional learning approaches such as oral education and on-the-job *** This underscores the pressing need for structured training protocols in AIH ***,feedback derived from inpatient treatment experiences is identified as a crucial element for enhancing risk assessment skills.

Suicide is a global public health problem with over one million people dying by suicide each year *** efforts have focused on developing and testing novel suicide prevention strategies employing recent technological *** order to provide a review regarding the role of new technologies(e.g.,postcards/letters,text messages,crisis cards,telephone contacts,online interventions) in suicide prevention,we searched Pub Med,Science Direct,Research Gate,and Crisis to identify all papers in English from 1977 to *** results indicated that brief contact interventions show promise in reducing the number of episodes of repeated self-harm and/or suicide attempts following discharge from the Emergency Department or psychiatric *** methods of contact(e.g.,text messages) are easily implemented by clinicians and received by patients in the period of post discharge and have been shown to be ***,more research employing randomized clinical trials investigating the potential benefits of these novel suicide prevention methods is *** researchers should continue improving and testing new technologies in the prevention of suicide.

BACKGROUND Accumulating evidence suggests that the inflammatory cytokine interleukin-6(IL-6)contributes to the pathophysiology of psychiatric ***,there was no study concerning the relationship between IL-6 concentrations and clinical features in the chronic phase of early-onset schizophrenia(EOS).AIM To investigate the relationship between serum IL-6 concentration and the clinical features of *** We measured serum IL-6 Levels from 74 patients with chronic schizophrenia,including 33 with age at onset0.05)after controlling for age,body mass index,and other *** symptom scores were higher in the EOS group than the AOS group(F=6.199,P=0.015).Serum IL-6 concentrations in the EOS group were negatively correlated with both total PANSS-negative symptom score(r=-0.389,P=0.032)and avolition/asociality subscore(r=-0.387,P=0.026).CONCLUSION Patients with EOS may have more severe negative symptoms than those with adult-onset schizophrenia during the chronic phase of the ***-6 signaling may regulate negative symptoms and its avolition/asociality subsymptoms among the early-onset chronic schizophrenic patients.

The therapeutic termination of pregnancy(TToP)is an induced abortion following a diagnosis of medical *** is applied to avoid the risk of substantial harm to the mother or in cases of fetal *** type of induced abortion is provided after the second semester of gestation if fetal illness or the pregnancy cause physical danger or pathological mental distress to the *** and economic determinants could influence the desire for children and family planning in couples,as well as the use of effective contraception and the choice to perform an induced ***,pre-existing mental health problems could affect the decision between carrying on a problematic pregnancy or having ***,the TToP is a reproductive event with an important traumatic burden,but also with an intrinsic therapeutic effect and it can produce different psychological and psychopathological effects on women and *** aim of this review is to evaluate what demographic,reproductive and psychopathological determinants are involved in the choice of undergoing a TToP in ***,we will examine both positive and negative consequences of this procedure on women’s mental health,underlying which factors are related to a worse outcome in order to provide the best clinical support to vulnerable groups.

training of emergency physicians through an emergency medicine residency program takes 5 years,that is,3 years in junior residency and 2 years in senior *** this period,residents will be exposed to a variety of educational methodologies and meet a spectrum of faculty,supervisors,and teachers,who will have different personalities,styles,and approaches to teaching and nurturing *** is important to ensure the maintenance of psychological safety for these residents throughout their training journey and into the future years of practice s an emergency ***,interactions(which involve questioning),and presentations will be an important part of this training *** article looks at two modes of questioning:advocacy inquiry and circular questioning,which can be applied as *** two methods are examples in which faculty may consider adopting in their many interactions,follow-up,feedback,tutorials,facilitation,partnerships,and counseling sessions with *** two techniques offer options to maintain psychological safety,which can facilitate learners sharing and opening *** can be included in the faculty’s armamentarium of questioning techniques and applied where applicable.
