This is a status report of the project on befalf of the BEPCⅡ team. BEPCⅡ is a major upgrade of the BEPC (Beijing Electron-Positron Collider). It is a double-ring e+-e- collider as well as a synchrotron radiation (SR) source with its outer ring, or SR ring. As a collider, BEPCⅡ operates in the beam energy region of 1—2.3 GeV with design luminosity of 1×1033 cm-2s-1 at 1.89 GeV. As a light source, the SR ring operates at 2.5 GeV and 250 mA. Construction of the project started in the beginning of 2004. Installation of the storage ring components was completed in October 2007. Commissioning is in progress. There are still many issues for further studies before reach to 3×1032 cm-2s-1.

Europe and the EU have been facing many crises and challenges in recent *** Brexit and rising nationalism to economic problems and unanimous refugee policies,most of them remain *** of moving forward with the European integration project,Europe seems to regress in many *** this turmoil,it seems all the more important to historicize the affirmative discourse of Europe and to expand the knowledge of the European unification process with novel insights into its *** if a broad understanding of its roots and developments prevails,the conflicts of the present can be better evaluated and *** one set of so far neglected sources from Europe’s past serves as guiding light in that respect:the early modern Europe literature written in the latin *** 1400 and 1800,latin enjoyed a similar status in promoting scientific discoveries,negotiating political affairs and generally communicating on an international level as modern-day *** offering a brief glance at some historically influential latin texts from the early modern discourse of Europe,this article will show that the early modern European crises strikingly resemble Europe’s current crises despite the difference in political,social,and economic *** discourse of Europe has from the beginning been a stable discourse,characterized by the same recurring questions for *** used as reference point for the crises of the 21st century,the prospects for the European integration look better than presumed.

The objective of traditional feature studies in Spoken language recognition(SLR) is extracting the linguistic discrimination between each language. However,applications of security area always interested in a particular language, which requires the features should be the best reflection of the differences between target language and the other languages. To address this problems, the frame level Phone log-posteriors feature(PLF), which has been recently introduced as a novel and effective feature in SLR, is optimized to get a better performance on Target language detection(TLD) task. The F-Ratio analysis method is used to analyze the contribution of each dimension in feature vector for TLD. In this work, frame level phone posterior probabilities are estimated by a phone recognizer, and processed through taking logarithm. Then the feature is optimized through weighting each dimension according to the F-Ratio values. Finally, Principal component analysis(PCA) is used to decorrelate the feature and reduce vector size. Experiments carried out on the NIST LRE 2007 dataset show that the effectiveness of the optimized feature, which yields significant relative improvements in term of Equal error rate(EER) with regard to the Gaussian mixture models-Support vector machines(GMM-SVM) system based on the original feature.

studies on ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)injury suggest that exogenous neural stem cells(NSCs)are ideal candidates for stem cell therapy reperfusion ***,NSCs are difficult to obtain owing to ethical *** addition,the survival,differentiation,and proliferation rates of transplanted exogenous NSCs are low,which limit their clinical *** previous study showed that neuregulin1β(NRG1β)alleviated cerebral I/R injury in *** this study,we aimed to induce human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells into NSCs and investigate the improvement effect and mechanism of NSCs pretreated with 10 nM NRG1βon PC12 cells injured by oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R).Our results found that 5 and 10 nM NRG1βpromoted the generation and proliferation of ***-culture of NSCs and PC12 cells under condition of OGD/R showed that pretreatment of NSCs with NRG1βimproved the level of reactive oxygen species,malondialdehyde,glutathione,superoxide dismutase,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate,and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and mitochondrial damage in injured PC12 cells;these indexes are related to *** has reported that p53 and solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11)play vital roles in ferroptosis caused by cerebral I/R *** data show that the expression of p53 was increased and the level of glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)was decreased after RNA interference-mediated knockdown of SLC7A11 in PC12 cells,but this change was alleviated after co-culturing NSCs with damaged PC12 *** findings suggest that NSCs pretreated with NRG1βexhibited neuroprotective effects on PC12 cells subjected to OGD/R through influencing the level of ferroptosis regulated by p53/SLC7A11/GPX4 pathway.

A significant amount of evidence indicates that microRNAs （miRNAs） play an important role in drug addiction. The nucleus accumbens （NAc） is a critical part of the brain’s reward circuit and is involved in a variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and drug addiction. However, few studies have examined the expression of miRNAs and their functional roles in the NAc under conditions of morphine addiction. In this study, mice were intravenously infused with morphine （0.01, 0.03, 0.3, 1 and 3 mg/kg/infusion） and showed inverted U-shaped response. After morphine self-administration, NAc was used to analyze the functional networks of altered miRNAs and their putative target mRNAs in the NAc following intravenous self-administration of morphine. We utilized several bioinformatics tools, including Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes （KEGG） pathway mapping and CyTargetLinker. We found that 62 miRNAs were altered and exhibited differential expression patterns. The putative targets were related to diverse regulatory functions, such as neurogenesis, neurodegeneration, and synaptic plasticity, as well as the pharmacological effects of morphine （receptor internalization/endocytosis）. The present findings provide novel insights into the regulatory mechanisms of accumbal molecules under conditions of morphine addiction and identify several novel biomarkers associated with morphine addiction.

Experimental characteristics of a lower hybrid wave multi-junction coupler in the HT-7 tokamak

A phase-controlled lower hybrid wave （LHW） multi-junction （M J） coupler （3（rows）×4（columns）×4 （subwaveguides）） has been developed in the HT-7 tokamak. Simulations show that it is more effective for driving plasma current than an ordinary phase-controlled LHW antenna （3（rows）× 12（columns））（traditional coupler）. The plasm-wave coupling experiments show that the reflection coefficient （RC） is below 10%, implying that the MJ grill can launch the wave into the plasma effectively. The effect of power spectrum launched by the MJ coupler on RC indicates that an optimal condition is requisite for a better coupling in the lower hybrid current drive （LHCD） experiments, studies indicate that the drive efficiency of the MJ antenna is higher than that of the traditional one, which is mainly ascribed to the discrepancy in impurity concentration, plasma temperature, and spectrum directivity. An improved confinement with an electron internal transport barrier is obtained by LHCD. The analysis shows that the modified negative （low） magnetic shear and the change of radial electric field profile due to LHCD are possible factors responsible for the eITB formation.

Restraint water-immersion stress(RWIS), a compound stress model, has been widely used to induce acute gastric ulceration in rats. A wealth of evidence suggests that the central nucleus of the amygdala(CEA) is a focal region for mediating the biological response to stress. Different stressors induce distinct alterations of neuronal activity in the CEA; however, few studies have reported the characteristics of CEA neuronal activity induced by RWIS. Therefore, we explored this issue using immunohistochemistry and in vivo extracellular single-unit recording. Our results showed that RWIS and restraint stress(RS) differentially changed the c-Fos expression and firing properties of neurons in the medial CEA. In addition,RWIS, but not RS, induced the activation of corticotropinreleasing hormone neurons in the CEA. These findings suggested that specific neuronal activation in the CEA is involved in the formation of RWIS-induced gastric *** study also provides a possible theoretical explanation for the different gastric dysfunctions induced by different stressors.
