Ataxia,acute mountain sickness,and high altitude cerebral edema

Previous investigations suggest that ataxia is common and often one of the most reliable warning signs of high altitude cerebral edema(HACE). The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic role of ataxia in acute mountain sickness(AMS)and HACE among mountain rescuers on the quake areas,and in approaching the relation between AMS and HACE. After the earthquake on April 14,2010,approximately 24 080 lowland rescuers were rapidly transported from sea level or lowlands to the mountainous rescue sites at 3 750 ~ 4 568 m,and extremely hardly worked for an emergency treatment after arrival. Assessments of acute altitude illness on the quake areas were using the Lake Louise Scoring System. 73 % of the rescuers were found to be developed AMS. The incidence of high altitude pulmonary edema(HAPE)and HACE was 0.73 % and 0.26 %,respectively,on the second to third day at altitude. Ataxia sign was measured by simple tests of coordination including a modified Romberg test. The clinical features of 62 patients with HACE were analyzed. It was found that the most frequent,serious neurological symptoms and signs were altered mental status(50/62,80.6 %)and truncal ataxia(47/62,75.8 %). Mental status change was rated slightly higher than ataxia,but ataxia occurred earlier than mental status change and other symptoms. The earliest sign of ataxia was a vague unsteadiness of gait,which may be present alone in association with or without AMS. Advanced ataxia was correlated with the AMS scores,but mild ataxia did not correlate with AMS scores at altitudes of 3 750~4 568 m. Of them,14 patients were further examined by computerized tomographic scanning of the brain and cerebral magnetic resonance imagines were examined in another 15 cases. These imaging studies indicated that the presence of the cerebral edema was in 97 % of cases who were clinically diagnosed as HACE(28/29). Ataxia seems to be a reliable sign of advanced AMS or HACE,so does altered mental status.

Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)has become the most possible network architecture to realize the vision of interconnection of all *** offloading compute-intensive or latency-sensitive applications to nearby small cell base stations(sBSs),the execution latency and device power consumption can be reduced on resource-constrained mobile ***,computation delay of Mobile Edge Network(MEN)tasks are neglected while the unloading decision-making is studied in *** this paper,we propose a workload allocation scheme which combines the task allocation optimization of mobile edge network with the actual user behavior activities to predict the task allocation of single *** obtain the next possible location through the user's past location information,and receive the next access server according to the grid ***,the next time task sequence is calculated on the base of the historical time task sequence,and the server is chosen to preload the *** the experiments,the results demonstrate a high accuracy of our proposed model.

Sharing sensitive data is a specific challenge for research infrastructures in the field of life *** that reason a toolbox has been developed,providing resources for researchers who wish to share and use sensitive data,to support the workflows for handling these kinds of digital *** and community approved annotations are required to be compliant with FAIR principles(Findability,Accessibility,Interoperability,Reusability).The toolbox makes use of a tagging(categorisation)system,allowing consistent labelling and categorisation of digital objects,in terms relevant to data sharing tasks and activities.A pilot study was performed within the Horizon 2020 project EOSC-Life,in which 2 experts from 6 life sciences research infrastructures were recruited to independently assign tags to the same set of 10 to 25 resources related to sensitive data management and data sharing(in total 110).Summary statistics of agreement and observer variation per research infrastructure are *** pilot study has shown that experts were able to attribute tags but in most cases with a considerable observer variation between *** the context of CWFR(Canonical Workflow Frameworks for Research),this indicates the necessity for careful definition,evaluation and validation of parameters and processes related to workflow *** results from this pilot study were used to tackle this issue by revising the categorisation system and providing an updated version.

Aim:To determine the tolerance and acceptance of hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG)measurements in patients with liver ***:This prospective international multicenter study included 271 patients with cirrhosis who were scheduled to undergo HVPG measurement between October 2019 and June *** related to the tolerance and acceptance of HVPG measurements were collected using descriptive ***:HVPG measurements were technically successful in all 271 patients,with 141(52.0%)undergoing HVPG measurement *** complication rate was 0.4%.Postoperative pain was significantly lower than preoperative expected pain(p<0.001)and intraoperative pain(p<0.001),and intraoperative pain was also significantly lower than preoperative expected pain(p=0.036).No,mild,moderate,severe,and intolerable discomfort scores were reported by 36.9%,44.6%,11.1%,6.3%,and 0.4%of these patients,respectively,during HVPG measurement and by 54.6%32.5%,11.4%,1.5%,and 0%,respectively,after HVPG *** these patients,39.5%had little understanding and 10%had no understanding of the value of HVPG measurement,with 35.1%and 4.1%regarding HVPG measurements as being of little or no help,*** patients reported that they would definitely(15.5%),probably(46.9%),or possibly(29.9%)choose to undergo additional HVPG measurements again,and 62.7%regarded the cost of the procedure as ***:HVPG measurement was safe and well‐tolerated in patients with cirrhosis,but patient education and communication are warranted to improve the acceptance of this procedure.

了解优势树种叶片多水平的功能性状沿海拔梯度的变化及其内在关联,有助于预测优势种应对气候变化的响应与适应。本文研究了青冈属树种叶片气孔、解剖和形态性状沿海拔梯度的变化及其与环境调控因子的关联,探究了其生态策略是否随海拔发生改变。在海南尖峰岭热带森林,沿海拔梯度(400–1400 m)采集了6种常绿青冈:竹叶青冈(Cyclobalanopsis bambusaefolia)、雷公青冈(***)、托盘青冈(***)、饭甄青冈(***)、吊罗山青冈(***)和亮叶青冈(***)叶片,用于气孔、解剖和形态性状的测定。研究结果表明,随海拔升高,青冈树种叶片气孔密度、气孔孔隙度指数和叶面积显著增加,但海绵组织厚度比和干物质含量则显着降低。叶片气孔、解剖和形态性状沿海拔梯度的变化主要受年均温、年降水量和土壤pH值调控。在低海拔和高海拔处,青冈属采取“耐受”和“竞争”策略,而在中海拔处,则是“竞争”策略。土壤磷含量和土壤pH值随海拔的变化可能是驱动其生态策略转变的主要原因。该结果揭示,热带森林优势树种青冈可通过从气孔细胞-组织解剖结构-叶片水平功能性状的改变来响应环境变化。

The FAIR principles have been widely cited,endorsed and adopted by a broad range of stakeholders since their publication in *** intention,the 15 FAIR guiding principles do not dictate specific technological implementations,but provide guidance for improving Findability,Accessibility,Interoperability and Reusability of digital *** has likely contributed to the broad adoption of the FAIR principles,because individual stakeholder communities can implement their own FAIR ***,it has also resulted in inconsistent interpretations that carry the risk of leading to incompatible ***,while the FAIR principles are formulated on a high level and may be interpreted and implemented in different ways,for true interoperability we need to support convergence in implementation choices that are widely accessible and(re)-*** introduce the concept of FAIR implementation considerations to assist accelerated global participation and convergence towards accessible,robust,widespread and consistent FAIR *** self-identified stakeholder community may either choose to reuse solutions from existing implementations,or when they spot a gap,accept the challenge to create the needed solution,which,ideally,can be used again by other communities in the ***,we provide interpretations and implementation considerations(choices and challenges)for each FAIR principle.
