Spatio-temporal cross-shore profiles and textural characteristics are the key parameters for understanding dynamics of the inter-tidal sedimentary *** study describes short-term dynamics of the inter-tidal sedimentary environment at beaches along the micro-tidal *** a correlation is estimated in cross-shore morphodynamics and textural characteristics of surface *** sedimentary environment is examined for a complete annual cycle using monthly collected cross-shore profiles and sediment *** Devbag beach(northern side) and Ravindranath Tagore beach(southern side) at the Kali river mouth,Karwar,west coast of India are characterized from extremely gentle to average slope,and broadly composed of unimodal *** sedimentary environment is significantly composed of textures having fine to medium sand,well to moderately sorted,fine to coarse skewed,and platykurtic to leptokurtic in *** the annual cycle a reversal pattern is observed between the two adjacent beaches,where a slower rate of sediment accretion is observed at Devbag beach while Ravindranath Tagore beach exhibited *** beach dynamics along with the propagation of south-west(SW) and south-west-west(SWW) waves towards the coast significantly exhibit a dominance of northward sediment transport with the existence of a northerly alongshore *** addition,the study reveals that an eroded beach may not be significantly identified composed of coarse *** poor correlation in morpho-sedimentary characteristics reveals the prediction of grain characteristics based on beach profile and vice-versa is unrealistic.

Previous studies have investigated whether Chinese exports have crowaea oul mose from other countries. However, what has yet to be considered is the evidence based on different quality varieties. Using the most detailed Harmonized System 9-digit product- level data, the present paper provides evidence of crowding-out and crowded-out effects across different product quality segments and across manufacturing sectors by quality segments. The empirical evidence presented in this paper shows that the crowding-out effects of Chinese exports have been greatest at the lower end of the quality spectrum but less significant at the higher quality spectrum. Moreover, since 2007, China＇s own exports of lower quality manufactured goods have been increasingly crowded out. The key policy implication is that China＇s export path is in line with that taken by other Asian economies in previous decades; the crowded-out effect could achieve win-win outcomes for countries involved; and lower income countries would do well to be open to receive those relocated low value-added industries from China. However, the relocation policy in China is best implemented gradually as climbing up the product quality ladder takes time.

China has demonstrated extraordinary leadership under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer by implementing stringent regulations on industrial and agricultural ozone-depleting *** is significant that every country in the world is Party to the Montreal Protocol(the only United Nations Treaty with full participation).Also significant is that developing countries have binding obligations under the agreement,and that all countries are on schedule to phaseout these *** appreciated is that ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) are potent greenhouse *** implication is that China has already helped protect the climate and can again be a key driver for resolving climate protection and threats to bio-security. The listing of methyl bromide(MB) and other ODSs for phase out under the Montreal Protocol represented one of the biggest global challenges facing China and agriculture in the last century. ODSs were highly effective industrial chemicals used in medicine,refrigeration and air conditioning,electronics,fire protection and consumer *** is a very effective soil fumigant that substantially increased yields in horticultural crops worldwide and controlled pests on stored fruit,nuts,and *** willingness to support key regulatory and political changes has and will continue to play a key role in ODS reduction worldwide. Further challenges now face the world - including climate change,biosecurity,water supply,and food production - this presentation explains how lessons from Chinese leadership on the Montreal Protocol can guide the way forward on other issues. What has been China’s approach to conflict management in the Middle East?The article begins with a review of Chinese responses to conflict,its wariness at intervention and the emergence of a new model of third-party intervention labelled‘quasimediation’.The article then examines three cases of conflict in the region since 2011 and China’s engagement with them:in Libya,Syria and *** quasi-mediation is not the principal form of Chinese behavior in each case,several common themes are *** include Chinese wariness at the initial protests;rhetorical appeals for political dialogue between government and opposition and national unity;deference to powerful external actors with interests in the conflict-affected state;and a willingness to pursue commercial opportunities,which advantage some actors and marginalize *** article therefore suggests that China is not currently making use of quasi-mediation in the Middle East,but that cross-regional comparative studies may reveal if it is occurring elsewhere.

Singular authorship of＂The Tale of Genji,＂ which is the greatest accomplishment in classical Japanese literature, is doubtful In this study, we statistically analyze whether the author of Uji Jujo, which comprises the last ten chapters of the ＂Tale of Ganji,＂ is same as that of other chapters by using statistical analyses such as principal component analysis and random forests. The result of the analyses of word frequency shows that there is no obvious difference in word usage between the ten chapters and others. Thus, we conclude that it is highly possible that the chapters＇ author is same as that of others.
