Objective:To assess the clinical competency of nursing interns and the perception of clinical nurse mentors toward student nurses'clinical ***:A study was carried out among 104 nursing interns and 26 clinical nurse mentors using the purposive sampling technique.A self-repor ted perception scale was used to collect the ***:In general,most nursing interns perceived themselves as clinically competent during the *** clinical nurse mentors too repor ted that the current internship is helping the nursing interns in becoming ***:Frequent clinical evaluation,buddy system,provision of stipends,good leadership,and coordination between the academic institute and hospital are repor ted as the critical motivating factors for improving the clinical competency of student interns.

During the development of leukemia,the overgrowth of leukemia cells in the bone marrow transforms the normal hematopoietic microenvironment into the leukemia microenvironment which favors its growth and inhibits normal hematopoietic stem *** leukemia microenvironment exhibits abnormalities in redox substances,metabolism,immune response,mesenchymal cells,extracellular matrix,stromal cells,hypoxia,and *** factors collectively provide a shelter for the malignant proliferation of leukemia ***,as the understanding of the leukemia microenvironment deepens,targeting or remodeling the abnormal leukemia microenvironment is becoming an effective strategy for leukemia *** technology can effectively change pharmacokinetic profiles,thus demonstrating many advantages in modulating the leukemia microenvironment and improving therapeutic *** this review,we outline the characteristics of abnormal leukemia bone marrow microenvironment,focusing on the abnormal changes in the redox,metabolic and immune *** also summarize emerging nanotechnology strategies in remodeling or targeting the aforementioned abnormal *** addition,the unique advantages and bright prospects of nanotechnology in remodeling and targeting the leukemia microenvironment are discussed.

Impact factors and pathways of halonitromethanes formation from aspartic acid during LED-UV_(265)/chlorine disinfection

Light emitting diode (LED-UV)/chlorine disinfection can replace UV/chlorine disinfection in wastewater treatment plants and water supply plants. Halonitromethanes (HNMs) are a class of novel nitrogenous disinfection by-products, which are characterized by higher cytotoxicity and genotoxicity than regulated disinfection by-products. Herein, the impact factors and pathways of HNMs formation from aspartic acid (ASP) were investigated during LED-UV_(265)/chlorine disinfection. The results showed that three types of chlorinated-HNMs (Cl-HNMs) were found during LED-UV265/chlorine disinfection, and their concentrations increased first and then declined as the reaction progressed. Cl-HNMs yields increased with increasing LED-UV_(265) intensity, free chlorine dosage, and ASP concentration, which declined with increasing pH (6.0–8.0). Meantime, the important impact of the coexisting ions contained in water matrices on HNMs formation from ASP was observed during LED-UV_(265)/chlorine disinfection. It was found that copper ions (Cu^(2+)) promoted Cl-HNMs formation. Furthermore, when bromide (Br–) appeared during LED-UV265/chlorine disinfection, nine types of HNMs were detected simultaneously. Moreover, Br– not only converted Cl-HNMs toward brominated (chlorinated)-HNMs and brominated-HNMs but also showed a marked effect on HNMs concentrations and species. Subsequently, the possible pathways of HNMs formation from ASP were proposed during LED-UV_(265)/chlorine disinfection. At last, it was proved that the formation trends of HNMs obtained in the real waters were similar to those in simulated waters. This work elaborated on the influence factors and pathways of HNMs formation, which is conducive to controlling the HNMs produced during LED-UV_(265)/chlorine disinfection.

Li_(2)MnO_(3)and Li_(2)RuO_(3)represent two prototype Li-rich transition metal(TM)oxides as high-capacity cathodes for Li-ion batteries,which have similar crystal structures but show quite different cycling ***,based on the first-princi-ples calculations,we systematically studied the electronic structures and defect properties of these two Li-rich cathodes,in order to get more understanding on the structural degradation mechanism in Li-rich TM *** calculations indicated that the structural and cycling stability of Li_(2)MnO_(3)and Li_(2)RuO_(3)depend closely on their electronic structures,especially the energy of their highest occupied electronic states(HOS),as it largely determines the defect properties of these *** Li_(2)MnO_(3)with low-energy HOS,we found that,due to the defect charge transfer mechanism,various defects can form spontaneously in its host structure as Li ions are extracted upon delithiation,which seriously deteriorates its structural and cycling *** for Li_(2)RuO_(3),on the other hand,we identified that the high-energy HOS prevents it from the defect formation upon delithi-ation and thus preserve its cycling *** studies thus illustrated an electronic origin of the structural degradation in Li-rich TM oxides and implied that it is possible to improve their cycling performances by carefully adjusting their TM compo-nents.

Sulfidation of zero-valent iron(ZVI)has attracted broad attention in recent years for improving the sequestration of contaminants from ***,sulfidated ZVI(S-ZVI)is mostly synthesized in the aqueous phase,which usually causes the formation of a thick iron oxide layer on the ZVI surface and hinders the efficient electron transfer to the *** this study,an alcohothermal strategy was employed for S-ZVI synthesis by the one-step reaction of iron powder with elemental *** is found that ferrous sulfide(FeS)with high purity and fine crystallization was formed on the ZVI surface,which is extremely favorable for electron ***(Ⅵ)removal experiments confirm that the rate constant of SZVI synthesized by the alcohothermal method was 267.1-and 5.4-fold higher than those of un-sulfidated ZVI and aqueous-phase synthesized S-ZVI,*** characterizations proved that Cr(Ⅵ)was reduced and co-precipitated on S-ZVI in the form of a Fe(Ⅲ)/Cr(Ⅲ)/Cr(Ⅵ)composite,suggesting its environmental benignancy.

Developing new polymeric semiconductors with excellent device performance is essential for organic electronics. Herein, we synthesized two new thiazoloisoindigo(Tz II)-based polymers, namely, P(Tz II-d Th-d Th) and P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz), by copolymerizing thiophene-flanked Tz II with bithiophene and bithiazole, respectively. Owing to the more electron-deficient nature of bithiazole than bithiophene, P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz)possesses deeper LUMO/HOMO levels of-3.45/-5.47 e V than P(Tz II-d Th-d Th)(-3.34/-5.32 e V). The organic field-effect transistor(OFET) devices based on P(Tz II-d Th-d Th) exhibited p-type behaviors with an average hole mobility value as high as 1.43 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1), while P(Tz II-d Th-d Tz)showed typical ambipolar characteristics with average hole and electron mobilities of 0.38 and 0.56 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1). In addition, we compared the performances of both polymers with other Tz II-based polymers reported in our previous work, and showed that the charge carrier polarity can be manipulated by adjusting the number of the thiophene units between the acceptor unit. As the increase of the number of thiophene rings,charge carrier polarity shifts from electron-dominated ambipolar transport to hole-dominated ambipolar transport and then to unipolar hole transport in OFETs, which provides an effective molecular design strategy for further optimization of polymer OFET performance.

Ultra-high nickel layered oxide cathode material with high energy density is the most promising material to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the poor structural stability and severe surface/interface side reactions of the material lead to poor rate performance and cyclic stability,which limits its application in *** this paper,the dual-modification strategy of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) coating is used to meet the above *** doping can effectively widen layer spacing and reduce Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) mixing,and La_(2)O_(3) coating can effectively eliminate the residual alkali on the surface of active material,inhibit the thickening of cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)film and reduce surface/interface side ***,the modified material(NM90-CL)with excellent electrochemical properties is achieved through the synergistic enhancement of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) *** capacity retention rate can reach 77.9%after 200 cycles at 1.0℃ and 75.7%after 200 cycles at 5.0℃.Its reversible capacity can up to 153.5 mAh·g^(–1) at 10.0℃.This dual-modification strategy will provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the synthesis of other high-performance electrode materials.
