Since the research on verification to passive design strategies in sustainable building is at the initial stage,and its test method and verification conclusion are not scientific enough to validate,this paper proposes the necessity of building physical environmental monitoring to quantitative optimization of passive strategies efficiency from the perspective of architecture design and building environment. Adopting comparative research method,this research chooses six types of atrium space in cold climate in China as a prototype,focusing on building physical environmental performance difference in and between atrium and building main space. Spatial parameters of the atrium space will be divided into four factors: spatial geometry,interfacial properties,internal and external related categories. With subdividing these four factors into sub-factors,this paper makes crosscomparison among the sub-factors to clarify passive strategies effectiveness in atrium. Data comparison analysis shows that Winter atrium passive strategy in cold regions from traditional view is not obvious in practical application,and test data need to be stratified refined in atrium design in case of optimizing passive strategy from building prototype perspective.

Understanding the coupling relationship between ecosystem services and poverty livelihoods is a prerequisite for poverty eradication and ecological protection in *** this paper,we intended to quantify the coupling relationship between ecosystem services and poverty livelihoods in 717 poverty-stricken counties in ***,we identified distinct levels of ecosystem services and poverty respectively in the poverty-stricken areas based on the ecosystem services subsystem index and poverty livelihoods subsystem ***,we calculated the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree between the ecosystem services and the poverty livelihoods in China^poverty-stricken counties from 2000 to ***,we analyzed the temporal and spatial evolution of the coupling between ecosystem services and poverty *** results indicate that the ecosystem services showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing,while the poverty level showed an increased *** addition,the coupling relationship between ecosystem services and poverty livelihoods in poverty-stricken counties was also improved from 2000 to ***,the coupling degree value or coupling coordination degree values in some counties or contiguous impoverished areas showed a decreased trend,the coupling relationship between ecosystem services and poverty livelihoods in those counties or areas was higher *** more,the coupling relationship in China's poverty-stricken counties was mainly intermediate conflict and low conflict,which need to improve in the ***,it is suggested that effective measures are required to lift ecosystem services out of the poverty trap and into sustainable livelihoods.

Green development is a critical component of sustainable tourism, which prioritizes a comprehensive, ecologically-friendly, and people-oriented approach to development. This study presents a case study of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH) urban agglomeration from 2001 to 2021 to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of tourism green development efficiency(TGDE). The study defines the concept of tourism green development and constructs an evaluation system, which is used to explore the internal differences and spatial patterns of TGDE within the urban agglomeration. The methodological approach includes the SBM–Undesirable model, kernel density estimation, Markov chain, and spatial gravity model. The findings indicate that the TGDE in the BTH urban agglomeration is generally favorable, displaying a temporal phase of “rising–declining–rising.” However, the study observes lower TGDE in tourism node cities compared to tourism regional center cities and tourism core hub cities. The non-equilibrium degree of each region indicates significant spatio-temporal evolution patterns and internal differences among the three regions, with a spatially decreasing distribution of “core hub-regional center-node city.” The TGDE in the urban agglomeration experienced an evolutionary trend of “first decreasing and then increasing” with apparent endogenous evolution characteristics. The linkage pattern of green development efficiency in the tourism industry between cities is relatively stable. Furthermore,neighboring cities generally exhibit a higher spatial connectivity strength of green development efficiency in the tourism industry compared to non-neighboring cities. Economic development level, industrial structure, and science and education level are identified as key factors that affect TGDE. However, the study finds that the factors influencing TGDE in tourism core hub cities, tourism regional center cities, and tourism node cities differ somewhat

This paper predicts the future development trend of China’s International Cooperation Parks(ICPs) along the Belt and Road by systematically summarizing the current situation and the effect they *** research shows that these ICPs have not only promoted China’s industrial capacity cooperation and international industrial transfer, but also contributed to resource sharing between China and the countries along the Belt and *** addition, the ICPs play a positive role in further advancing social development of host countries and bilateral *** also indicates that the development of ICPs, influenced by both a Chinese domestic 'pushing force' and a foreign 'pulling force,' is a result jointly produced by political, economic, diplomatic, and cultural *** ICPs are built in increasingly more countries along the Belt and Road and their leading industries tend to be more diverse, the environment and infrastructure in host countries would be improved and the importance of Chinese private enterprises would be further *** addition, ICPs will also further promote the development of local industrial *** should also be noted is that problems like an unbalanced layout, irrational planning, and lack of planning standards still exist in the ICPs, thus solutions and strategies for resolving these problems are proposed in the paper.

Influence of urban morphological factors on building energy consumption combined with photovoltaic potential: A case study of residential blocks in central China

Studies on urban energy have been growing in interest,and past research has mostly been focused on studies of urban solar potential or urban building energy consumption ***,holistic research on the combination of urban building energy consumption and solar potential at the urban block-scale is required in order to minimize energy use and maximize solar power generation *** aim of this study is to comprehensively evaluate the impact of urban morphological factors on photovoltaic(PV)potential and building energy ***,58 residential blocks were classified into 6 categories by k-means ***,3 energy performance factors,which include the energy use intensity(EUI),the energy use intensity combined with PV potential(EUI-PV),and photovoltaic substitution rate(PSR)were calculated for these *** study found that the EUI of the Small Length&High Height blocks was the lowest at around 30 kWh/(m^(2)·y),while the EUI-PV of the Small Length&Low Height blocks was the lowest at around 4.45 kWh/(m^(2)·y),and their PSR was the highest at 87%.Regression modelling was carried out,and the study concluded that the EUI of residential blocks was mainly affected by shape factor,building density and floor area ratio,while EUI-PV and PSR were mainly affected by height and sky view *** this study,the results and developed methodology are helpful to provide recommendations and strategies for sustainable planning of residential blocks in central China.

The peri-urban area possesses mixed characteristics of rural and urban areas,i.e.,agricultural,and built-up *** review explains various themes and concepts of peri-urban areas and the importance of peri-urban agriculture(PUA)as an ecosystem service(ES)for their surrounding *** methodological approach is a systematic literature search and explanatory review of books and journal *** focus of the discussion is as follows:(1)quantification of review results,(2)urbanization pressures,peri-urban,and governance,(3)two different concepts about the peri-urban area,(4)protection of PUA and their resilience,and(5)role of PUA in providing ESs to other *** review shows that PUA is more crucial in urban areas than in rural areas in terms of food supply,ecology and biodiversity preservation,disaster mitigation,and *** of the primary causes of PUA loss is massive urban expansion,which entails the conversion of agricultural land in peri-urban areas into built-up ***,we suggest that every country should develop a peri-urban management *** argue that sociocultural biases in PUA have resulted in many institutional constraints on peri-urban management being incorporated within existing political and regulatory frameworks,including planning practices and longstanding laws and regulations.

In the context of racing to carbon neutrality,the pipe-embedded building system makes the opaque envelopes gradually regarded as the multi-functional element,which also provides an opportunity for thermal insulation solutions to transform from high to zero-carbon *** on the re-examination of the heat transfer process of conventional pipe-embedded radiant(CPR)walls,the modular pipe-embedded radiant(MPR)wall integrated with thermal diffusive materials is proposed to enhance the heat transfer capacity of CPR walls in the direction parallel to the wall surface,thereby forming a more stable and continuous invisible thermal barrier layer inside the opaque envelopes.A comprehensive thermal and energy-saving analysis study regarding the influence mechanism of several key factors of MPR walls,e.g.,the inclination angle of the filler cavity(θ-value),geometry size of the filler cavity(a:b-value)and thermal conductivity of the filler(λf-value),is conducted based on a validated numerical *** show that the dynamic thermal behaviors of MPR walls can be significantly improved due to that the radial thermal resistance in the filler cavity of MPR walls can be reduced by 50%,while the maximum extra exterior surface heat loss caused by the optimization measures is only 2.1%.Besides,a better technical effect can be achieved by setting the major axis of the filler cavity towards the room side,where the interior surface heat load/total injected heat first decreases/increases and then increases/decreases with the increase of theθ-*** particular,the MPR wall withθL=60°can obtain the best performance when other conditions remain the ***,the performance indicators of MPR walls can be further improved with the increase of the cavity size(a:b-value),while showing a trend of rapid improvement in theλf-value range of 2–5λC and slow improvement increase in theλf-value range of 5–12λ*** addition,the improvement effect brought by optimizing theθ-value is more o

As the development of big data and artificial intelligence accelerates， many studies have begun to incorporate methods of machine learning and deep learning to address multifaceted challenges within the field of transportation. Generative models， garnering increasing attention in recent years， are gradually bolstering the progression of intelligent transportation systems. This paper conducts an extensive investigation into the applications and potential of generative models in the evolution of transportation systems. It specifically delves into three primary areas: trajectory generation， traffic flow prediction， and autonomous driving. While generative models have already made significant contributions， their full capabilities remain underexplored. Consequently， this paper introduces promising avenues for future exploration， such as the potential integration of diffusion models in autonomous driving， harnessing generative models for infrastructure planning， and leveraging generative models to enhance traffic safety. It is anticipated that this paper will serve as a comprehensive and insightful reference for researchers and scholars engaged in generative models and their applications in the transportation domain.

Using static chamber gas chromatography, we determined the seasonal dynamics, controlling factors, and distribution patterns of forest swamp CH4 levels and related environmental factors (temperature, water level) after fire disturbance in the Xiaoxing’an Mountains. The results showed the following: during the growing season, the annual CH4 emission distribution ranged from - 0.001 ± 0.012 to 22.373 ± 3.650 mg m^-2 h^-1;mild fire caused the swamp CH4 emission flux of tussock, shrub, Alnus sibirica and birch swamp to increase by 56.0–524.7%;at low water levels, temperature had a significant influence on the swamp type, and the correlation between the methane emission flux and temperature was significantly strengthened;after a fire disturbance, methane emissions from all types of marsh were highest in summer and second highest in autumn, with a weak absorption in spring;and along the water environment gradient of the transition zone, the CH4 emission flux presented a decreasing trend in its spatial distribution pattern.

The Mw 6.8 Adassil earthquake that occurred in the High Atlas on September 8,2023,was a catastrophic event that provided a rare opportunity to study the mechanics of deep crustal *** research aimed to decipher the rupture characteristics of the Adassil earthquake by analyzing teleseismic waveform data in conjunction with interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR)observations from both ascending and descending *** analysis revealed a reverse fault mechanism with a centroid depth of approximately 28 km,exceeding the typical range for crustal *** result suggests the presence of cooler temperatures in the lower crust,which facilitates the accumulation of tectonic *** earthquake exhibited a steep reverse mechanism,dipping at 70°,accompanied by minor strike-slip *** the geotectonic framework of the High Atlas,known for its volcanic legacy and resulting thermal irregularities,we investigated the potential contributions of these factors to the initiation of the Adassil *** seismicity within the lower crust,away from plate boundaries,calls for extensive research to elucidate its implications for regional seismic hazard *** findings highlight the critical importance of studying and preparing for significant seismic events in similar geological settings,which would provide valuable insights into regional seismic hazard assessments and geodynamic paradigms.
