Role of Heteroplasmic Mutations in the Mitochondrial Genome and the ID4 Gene Promoter Methylation Region in the Pathogenesis of Chronic Aplastic Anemia in Patients Suffering from Kidney Yin Deficiency

Objective： To analyze changes in gene amplification in the mitochondrial genome and in the ID4 gene promoter methylation region in patients with chronic aplastic anemia （CAA） suffering from Kidney （Shen） yin deficiency or Kidney yang deficiency. Methods： Bone marrow and oral epithelium samples were collected from CAA patients with Kidney yin deficiency or Kidney yang deficiency （20 cases）. Bone marrow samples were collected from 20 healthy volunteers. The mitochondrial genome was amplified by polymerase chain reaction （PCR）, and PCR products were used for sequencing and analysis. Results： Higher mutational rates were observed in the ND1-2, ND4-6, and CYTB genes in CAA patients suffering from Kidney yin deficiency. Moreover, the ID4 gene was unmethylated in bone marrow samples from healthy individuals, but was methylated in some CAA patients suffering from Kidney yin deficiency （positive rate, 60%） and Kidney yang deficiency （positive rate, 55%）. Conclusions： These data supported that gene mutations can alter the expression of respiratory chain enzyme complexes in CAA patients, resulting in energy metabolism impairment and promoting the physiological and pathological processes of hematopoietic failure. Functional impairment of the mitochondrial respiration chain induced by gene mutation may be an important reason for hematopoietic failure in patients with CA,＆,. This change is closely related to maternal inheritance and Kidney yin deficiency. Finally, these data supported the assertion that it is easy to treat disease in patients suffering from yang deficiency and difficult to treat disease in patients suffering from yin deficiency.

Acoustic localization scheme and accuracy analysis for underwater vertical moving target using seabed stations

To measure the trajectory of an underwater vertical moving target(UVMT) in transient motion with high accuracy and high frame rate,an acoustic localization model using seabed stations with an acoustic beacon was presented.A solution algorithm based on the Gauss-Newton method was derived,which was shown to satisfy the local linear *** analysis of the numerical simulation indicated that the station location,sound velocity,and signal time delay estimation errors were propagated to location parameters through measurement ranges,and the main affecting factors included the station geometry,target relative location,and acoustic *** accuracy was improved using a supplemental surface station coupled with the seabed *** characteristics were indicated by accuracy distribution from the full test sea area.A 14-station array composed of 13 seabed stations and 1 surface station in a test sea of 1 km x 1 km and 60 m in depth demonstrated that the average root mean square errors(RMSEs) in the x,y,and z directions were 0.30,1.47,and0.34 m,respectively,in the vertical range of 35-60 *** work provided a technical approach for UVMT localization,which would be useful for designing related measurement systems.

Abiotic contribution to total soil CO_2 flux across a broad range of land-cover types in a desert region

As an important component of ecosystem carbon（C） budgets, soil carbon dioxide（CO2） flux is determined by a combination of a series of biotic and abiotic processes. Although there is evidence showing that the abiotic component can be important in total soil CO2 flux（R（total））, its relative importance has never been systematically assessed. In this study, after comparative measurements of CO2 fluxes on sterilized and natural soils, the R（total） was partitioned into biotic flux（R（biotic）） and abiotic flux（R（abiotic）） across a broad range of land-cover types（including eight sampling sites： cotton field, hops field, halophyte garden, alkaline land, reservoir edge, native saline desert, dune crest and interdune lowland） in Gurbantunggut Desert, Xinjiang, China. The relative contribution of R（abiotic） to R（total）, as well as the temperature dependency and predominant factors for R（total）, R（biotic） and R（abiotic）, were analyzed. Results showed that R（abiotic） always contributed to R（total） for all of the eight sampling sites, but the degree or magnitude of contribution varied greatly. Specifically, the ratio of R（abiotic） to R（total） was very low in cotton field and hops field and very high in alkaline land and dune crest. Statistically, the ratio of R（abiotic） to R（total） logarithmically increased with decreasing R（biotic）, suggesting that R（abiotic） strongly affected R（total） when R（biotic） was low. This pattern confirms that soil CO2 flux is predominated by biotic processes in most soils, but abiotic processes can also be dominant when biotic processes are weak. On a diurnal basis, R（abiotic） cannot result in net gain or net loss of CO2, but its effect on transient CO2 flux was significant. Temperature dependency of R（total） varied among the eight sampling sites and was determined by the predominant processes（abiotic or biotic） of CO2 flux. Specifically, R（biotic） was driven by soil temperature while R（abiotic） was regulated by the change in soil temperature（ΔT）. Namely

Research on the width of filling body in gob-side entry retaining with high-water materials

To determine the filling body's width along the gob-side remained roadway which is underneath the gob,the authors analyzed the interaction mechanism between the roof and the supporting body along the remained roadway, based on the elastic thin plate theory of the stope roof. The stress state and mechanical response of the filling body along the remained roadway were studied. Specifically, firstly, the supporting pressure of the coal pillar which is on one side of the gob-side remained roadway was ***, an equation that is used to calculate the width of the balance area in the stress limit state was acquired. Then, an equation that is used to calculate the roof cutting force on one side of the supporting body was obtained. By using FLAC3D, the authors investigated the displacement field and stress field response laws of rock masses around the roadway with different filling body's widths. The results show that with the filling body's width increasing, the supporting ability of the filling body ***, the rock mass displacement around the roadway and the filling body deformation *** better the filling body's supporting effect is, the higher the roof cutting force will be. When the filling body's width is larger than 3.0 m, its internal bearing ability becomes stable and the filling body's deformation became non-apparent. Finally, analysis shows that the filling body's width should be 2.5 ***, the authors conducted field tests in the supply roadway 1204, using high-water materials and acquired expected outcomes.

Dynamic Hedging Based on Markov Regime-Switching Dynamic Correlation Multivariate Stochastic Volatility Model

It is important to consider the changing states in *** Markov regime-switching dynamic correlation multivariate stochastic volatility( MRS-DC-MSV) model was proposed to solve this issue. DC-MSV model and MRS-DC-MSV model were used to calculate the time-varying hedging ratios and compare the hedging performance. The Markov chain Monte Carlo( MCMC) method was used to estimate the parameters. The results showed that,there were obviously two economic states in Chinese financial market. Two models all did well in hedging,but the performance of MRS-DCMSV model was better. It could reduce risk by nearly 90%. Thus,in the hedging period,changing states is a factor that cannot be neglected.

Effect of ultrasonic micro-forging treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of GH3039 superalloy processed by directed energy deposition

In this work,ultrasonic micro-forging treatment(UMFT)was introduced to achieve homogeneous microstructure,reduce defects and improve mechanical properties of GH3039 superalloy cladding layer processed by directed energy deposition(DED).The microstructure,defects and mechanical properties of the cladding layers treated by UMFT with different ultrasonic powers(UIPs)were *** revealed a gradient structure as equiaxed grains distributed at the top,a columnar-to-equiaxed transition(CET)region that mixed of columnar dendrites and equiaxed grains distributed at the middle and columnar dendrites at the bottom of the cladding layer was *** UMFT,the proportion of equiaxed grains was increased,the average size of equiaxed grains was refined to 10μm from 16μm,the orientation of grains was more uniform and the phases enriched of Al,Ti,C,Nb and Mo were *** grain refinement can be attributed to the fracture of columnar dendrites induced by the ultrasonic vibration during ***,the porosity of the cladding layer was reduced after *** microhardness of the cladding layers exhibited a depth-dependent gradient at the top *** microhardness of the top surface was the highest and showed an increasing trend with the increase of *** microhardness of different grain morphologies exhibited no substantial ***,due to grain refinement and precipitation of strengthening phase induced by UMFT,the microhadness of some local locations were *** results indicated UMFT has a significant effect on improving the microstructure,defects and mechanical properties of the deposited cladding layer.

Effects of phenolic acids on soil nitrogen mineralization over successive rotations in Chinese fir plantations

Phenolic acids are secondary metabolites of plants that significantly affect nutrient cycling *** investigate such effects,the soil available nitrogen(N)content,phenolic acid content,and net N mineralization rate in three successive rotations of Chinese fir plantations in subtropical China were *** N mineralization and nitrification rates in soils treated with phenolic acids were measured in an ex situ *** with first-rotation plantations(FCP),the contents of total soil nitrogen and nitrate in second(SCP)-and third-rotation plantations(TCP)decreased,and that of soil ammonium *** net N mineralization rates in the second-and third-rotation plantations also increased by 17.8%and 39.9%,*** contrast,soil net nitrification rates decreased by 18.0%and 25.0%,*** concentrations of total phenolic acids in the FCP soils(123.22±6.02 nmol g^-1)were 3.0%and 17.9%higher than in the SCP(119.68±11.69 nmol g^-1)and TCP(104.51±8.57 nmol g^-1,respectively).The total content of phenolic acids was significantly correlated with the rates of net soil N mineralization and net *** ex situ experiment showed that the net N mineralization rates in soils treated with high(HCPA,0.07 mg N kg^-1 day^-1)and low(LCPA,0.18 mg N kg^-1 day^-1)concentrations of phenolic acids significantly decreased by 78.6%and 42.6%,respectively,comparing with that in control(0.32 mg N kg^-1 day^-1).Soil net nitrification rates under HCPA and LCPA were significantly higher than that of the *** results suggested that low contents of phenolic acids in soil over successive rotations increased soil net N mineralization rates and decreased net nitrification rates,leading to consequent reductions in the nitrate content and enhancement of the ammonium content,then resulting in enhancing the conservation of soil N of successive rotations in Chinese fir plantation.

Changes in the patterns of inorganic nitrogen and TN/TP ratio and the associated mechanism of biological regulation in the shallow lakes of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River

The changes of NH3-N, NO3-N, NO2-N and TN/TP were studied during growth and non-growth season in 33 subtropical shallow lakes in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. There were significant positive correlations among all nutrient concentrations, and the correlations were better in growth season than in non-growth season. When TP＞0.1 mgL-1, NH3-N increased sharply in non-growth season with increasing TP, and NO3-N increased in growth season but decreased in non-growth season with TP. These might be attributed to lower dissolved oxygen and low temperature in non-growth season of the hypereutrophic lakes, since nitrification is more sensitive to dissolved oxygen and temperature than antinitrification. When 0.1 mgL-1＞TP＞0.035 mgL-1, TN and all kinds of inorganic nitrogen were lower in growth season than in non-growth season, and phytoplankton might be the vital regulating factor. When TP＜0.035 mgL-1, inorganic nitrogen concentrations were relatively low and NH3-N, NO2-N had significant correlations with phytoplankton, indicating that NH3-N and NO2-N might be limiting factors to phytoplankton. In addition, TN/TP went down with decline in TP concentration, and TN and inorganic nitrogen concentrations were obviously lower in growth season than in non-growth season, suggesting that decreasing nitrogen (especially NH3-N and NO3-N) was an important reason for the decreasing TN/TP in growth season. The ranges of TN/TP were closely related to trophic level in both growth and non-growth seasons, and it is apparent that in the eutrophic and hypertrophic state the TN/TP ratio was obviously lower in growth season than in non-growth season. The changes of the TN/TP ratio were closely correlated with trophic levels, and both declines of TN in the water column and TP release from the sediment were important factors for the decline of the TN/TP ratio in growth season.

In this paper, the necessary theoretical analysis for the approximation boundary element method to solve dynamical response of viscoelastic thin plate presented in [1] ***. The theorem of existence and uniqueness of the approximate solution andthe error estimation are also obtained. Based on these conclusions , the principle forchoosing the mesh size and the number of truncated terms in the fundamental solution are given. It isshown that the theoretical ana analysis in this paper are consistent with thenumerical results in [1].

Optimization of a Pipeline-Type Savonius Hydraulic Turbine

This study focuses on a DN50 pipeline-type Savonius hydraulic *** torque variation of the turbine in a rotation cycle is analyzed theoretically in the framework of the plane potential flow *** numerical simulations show that the change in turbine torque is consistent with the theoretical analysis,with the main power zone and the secondary power zone exhibiting a positive *** contrast,the primary resistance zone and the secondary resistance zone are characterized by a negative *** relationships between the turbine’s internal flow angleθ,the deflector’s inclination angleα0,and the coverage angleαof the power zone are introduced,and a method for calculating the optimal number of blades is proposed to maximize the power *** are presented about performance tests conducted on five groups of hydraulic turbines with the blade number ranging from 3 to *** results indicate that both the turbine’s recovery power and efficiency attain the highest values when the blade number is 4,which is in agreement with the number of blades calculated by the proposed ***,the study examines the effects of the flow rate on turbine parameters and the projected energy generation and cost savings for a specific pipeline configuration.
