Major fields such as military applications,medical fields,weather forecasting,and environmental applications use wireless sensor networks for major computing *** play a vital role in emerging technologies of the 20th *** of sensors in needed locations is a very serious *** environment is home to every living being in the *** growth of industries after the industrial revolution increased pollution across the *** to recent uncontrolled growth and development,sensors to measure pollution levels across industries and surroundings are *** interesting and challenging task is choosing the place to fit the *** meta-heuristic techniques have been introduced in node *** intelligent algorithms have proven their efficiency in many studies on localization *** this article,we introduce an industrial-centric approach to solve the problem of node localization in the sensor ***,our work aims at selecting industrial areas in the sensed *** use random forest regression methodology to select the polluted ***,the elephant herding algorithm is used in sensor node *** two algorithms are combined to produce the best standard result in localizing the sensor *** check the proposed performance,experiments are conducted with data from the KDD Cup 2018,which contain the name of 35 stations with concentrations of air pollutants such as PM,SO_(2),CO,NO_(2),and O_(3).These data are normalized and tested with *** results are comparatively analyzed with other swarm intelligence algorithms such as the elephant herding algorithm,particle swarm optimization,and machine learning algorithms such as decision tree regression and multi-layer *** can indicate our proposed algorithm can suggest more meaningful locations for localizing the sensors in the *** proposed method achieves a lower root mean square value with 0.06 to 0.08 for lo

Parkinson＇s disease （PD） is a typical degenerative disease, which is characterized by the most obvious symptoms of movement dysfunction, including shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement and difficulty in walking and gait. This disease can not be clearly identified through laboratory tests at present, thus application of high-throughput technique in studying the expression profiles of PD helps to find the genetic markers for its early diagnosis. studies on expression profiles of neurodegenerative diseases have revealed the novel genes and pathways involved in the progress of illness. In this study, the expression profiles of PD in blood were compared, showing that 181 differentially expressed genes （DEG） exhibit a similar expression trend both in patients and in normal controls.

Enteric fever remains a tropical disease of public health significance in Africa, due to its high endemicity and transmission rates, more in sub-Saharan Africa with 7.2 million cases of typhoid fever annually and incidence rate of 762 per 100000 person-years when compared with Northern Africa with a reported incidence rate of 557 per 100000 person-years and lower. Recent studies show that almost all regions of sub-Saharan Africa are tending towards high incidence rates, especially Central and Western Africa. Though clinically indistinguishable from paratyphoid fever, typhoid fever causes more morbidity and mortality than paratyphoid fever, with a greater threat to children. Risk factors include consumption of contaminated water, patronizing food vendors and a history of contact with a case or a chronic carrier, amongst others. environmental factors such as the rainy season, open sewers, contaminated water bodies and areas of low elevation have been implicated. Diagnosis in Africa is challenging due to resource constraints, as many centres still depend on clinical diagnosis and serodiagnosis using Widal test, in an era where more sensitive and specific tests exist. The polymerase chain reaction is one of the most sensitive diagnostic methods, while culture (particularly bone marrow) is considered to be one of the most specific. Quinolones (ciprofloxacin) and third-generation cephalosporins, amongst others, remain potent in the management of enteric fever, with resistance to quinolones gradually on the rise. Poor diagnostics, poor antibiotic stewardship and lack of drug (antibiotic) regulation are contributors to the problem of antibiotic resistance in Africa. Prevention of typhoid fever through;vaccination, especially in children is still under investigation, with steady progress being documented. Decades of work have elucidated cytokine signalling and transcriptional pathways that control T cell differentiation and have led the way to targeted biologic therapies that are effective in a range of autoimmune,allergic and inflammatory *** evidence indicates that obesity and metabolic disease can also influence the immune system1-7,although the mechanisms and effects on immunotherapy outcomes remain largely ***,using two models of atopic dermatitis,we show that lean and obese mice mount markedly different immune *** converted the classical type 2 T helper(TH2)-predominant disease associated with atopic dermatitis to a more severe disease with prominent TH17 *** also observed divergent responses to biologic therapies targeting TH2 cytokines,which robustly protected lean mice but exacerbated disease in obese ***-cell RNA sequencing coupled with genome-wide binding analyses revealed decreased activity of nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ(PPARγ)in TH2 cells from obese mice relative to lean mice.

Modelling Pathways for Outbreaks in Field Occupational Epidemiology

Background: The investigation of an occupational outbreak, once the index case has been identified, triggers a stress situation to epidemiologists. Modelling occupational outbreaks will be useful to guide the field investigation. Objective: To identify standard pathways for occupational epidemic outbreaks. Methods: In-depth critical appraisal of 57 occupational outbreaks. Standard pathways of occupational outbreaks were identified by analysing the similarity between out-breaks. The model’s accuracy and homogeneity were established through Fisher’s exact test and the Kappa Index. Results: The analysis allowed synthesizing the occupational outbreaks variability in 4 pathways. 92.98% of the analysed outbreaks could be allocated to one of those 4 types. The theoretical patterns showed a good adjustment with the analysed out-breaks: Type I (Kappa = 0.94 - 0.60), Type II (Kappa = 1.00), Type III (Kappa = 1.00 - 0.68) and Type IV (Kappa = 0.94 - 0.87). The probability of a given outbreak fitting with its three components in any of the theoretical pathways was 0.83. Conclusions: The incorporation of those pathways to the field occupational epidemiology will allow: 1) to provide early guidance to epidemiological, clinical and environmental studies focused on specific hypothesis of causality;2) to anticipate preventive measures;3) to contribute to an earlier and more efficient outbreak resolution.

Using several case studies concerning surface water quality,we illustrate the use of simple probabilistic(Bayesian and multilevel modeling) techniques that have broad applicability to improve assessments used to guide environmental management *** essence,these techniques involve pooling information(data and/or expert judgment) from disparate sources to reduce the uncertainty of an environmental *** the first example,we were interested in determining whether a waterbody is in compliance with a water quality *** a combination of model predictions and new monitoring data,we were able to update the assessment on an annual basis and demonstrate compliance sooner and with less uncertainty than we could with a model or data *** the second example,we were interested in the impact of various land management practices and natural characteristics on nutrient runoff from agricultural *** were able to pool data from several farm sites to develop an effective predictive model that could be used to guide farm management actions to reduce nutrient *** the third example,we discuss how we can elicit and quantify expert scientific judgment to improve water quality model predictions,and we describe how to combine the quantified expert assessments with a statistical model based on historic *** we applied this approach to predict the impact of acid precipitation on fish populations in ***,in the fourth example,we discuss the development of a multilevel model to assess the impact of urbanization on downstream ***,this model could be used by urban planners to guide land use decisions in order to reduce adverse impacts on stream ecosystems.
