Chemical Composition of Hydrilla Verticillata （L. f.） Royle in Taihu Lake

Hydrilla verticillata （Linn. f.） Royle is a submerged plant for phytoremediation on Taihu Lake, China. The planted submerged plant should be harvested in every autumn to reduce the nutrition burden of the lake. Five compounds were firstly isolated by column chromatography and purified from the extractions of Hydrilla verticillata （Linn. f.） Royle. 1-（5＇-Hydroxy-4＇-hydroxymethyl-1＇-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2＇-yl）-henicosa-2,12,15-trien-1-one （2） and thymidine （3） were identified by EIMS, 1H NMR, laC NMR and IR spectra. Crystal loliolide （1） and sulfur-gamma （4） were identified by X-ray diffraction. Octadecanedioic acid （5） was also elucidated. Among them, compound 2 is a new natural compound, loliolide （1） and thymidine （3） are known bioactive substances. The results provided basic research data for exploring their application as medical materials.

Objectives:We aim to explore the factors related to the health promotion behavior of reproductive health(RH)among Indonesian adolescents via structural equation ***:A cross-sectional quantitative study was used to measure 108 adolescents aged 12-16 *** employed a self-administered questionnaire developed from the health promotion model(HPM)and the empowerment model(EM)on the basis of self-efficacy to determine the factors related to health promotion in maintaining RH *** equation modeling(SEM)was used to examine re-lationships among the *** Analysis of Moment Structures(AMOS)approach was used to evaluate if the proposed model is suitable for the data based on goodness-of-fit ***:The model is appropriate for the *** interrelationships emerge among independent variables(P>0.05),namely,personal and cognitive behaviors(r=-0.01),cognitive and health pro-motion behaviors(r=0.09),and affective and health promotion behaviors(r=-0.17).The strongest relationship is between empowerment and health promotion behavior(r=0.72).Affection(interper-sonal and situational influences),immediate competing demands and preferences,and empowerment(participation and control)are directly related to RH behavior ***,willingness of adolescents,prior related behavior,personal factor,and commitment to a plan of action are indirectly related to RH behavior *** model explains 43.9%of the variance in maintaining RH ***:The HPM and EM models help determine the factors related to RH behavior maintenance among *** to promote RH among Indonesian adolescents should begin from the level of child-parent-health care professional encounter for empowering the RH of adolescents.

Phosphorus release potential and pollution characteristics of sediment in downstream Nansi Lake, China

The research aimed to evaluate present and potential phosphorous pollution due to high sedimentary phosphorus load and release from sediment, when external phosphorus was reduced in downstream Nansi Lake. Pollution load of the sediment and overlying water was investigated. Kinetics and isotherms of adsorption/release of sedimentary phosphorus were studied to determine equilibrium phosphate concentration （EPCo） and release potential. Kinetics of phosphorus adsorption on sediment and release from sediment were well described by both the pseudo-first-order rate equation and the pseudo-second- order rate equation, but more appropriate to the pseudo- second-order rate equation with the adsorption/release capacity more close to the measured values, suggesting that the processes were chemically rate controlled and dependent on adsorption capacity. Soluble reactive phosphorus （SRP） sorption isotherms on sediment were best fitted by the modified Langmuir model indicating a monolayer adsorption. By comparing EPC0 and SRP of water, the status （adsorption, releasing or in equilibrium） of sediment phosphorus could be determined. The sediments at site S l, S3, S4, S5, and S7 where the EPC0s were greater than the SRPs, had a potential to release phosphorus into the water column. However, those sediments at S9, S10, and S 12, where the EPC0s were approximately equal to the SRPs, were in impermanent equilibrium with overlying water in status of phosphorus, the sediments can be likely to release phosphorus to the water column once the equilibrium was broken. Therefore, sedimentary phos- phorus can be a secondary pollution source in downstream Nansi Lake.

AIM To characterize the antigen on HepG2 cell that is specifically recognized by a new monoclonal antibody raised against human liver heparan sulfate proteoglycan(HSPG), clone *** The antigen recognized by m Ab 1E4-1D9 was immunoprecipitated and its amino acid sequence was analyzed LC/MS. The transmembrane domain, number of cysteine residues, and glycosylation sites were predicted from these entire sequences. Data from amino acid analysis was aligned with glypican-3(https://***/Tools/msa/clustalo/). The competitive reaction of mA b 1E4-1D9 and anti-glypican-3 on HepG2 cells was demonstrated by indirect immunofluorescence and analyzed by flow cytometry. Moreover, co-immunoprecipitation of mA b 1E4-1D9 and anti-glypican-3 was performed in HepG2 cells by Western immunoblotting. The recognition by mA b 1E4-1D9 of a specific epitope on solid tumor and hematopoietic cell lines was studied using indirect immunofluorescence and analyzed by flow *** Monoclonal antibody 1E4-1D9 reacted with an HSPG isolated from human liver and a band of 67 kD was detected under both reducing and non-reducing conditions. The specific antigen pulled down by m Ab 1E4-1D9, having a MW of 135 kD, was analyzed. The results showed two sequences of interest, gi30722350(1478 amino acid) and gi60219551(1378 amino acid). In both sequences no transmembrane regions were observed. Sequence number gi30722350 was 99.7% showed a match to FYCO1, a molecule involved in induction of autophagy. Sequence number gi60219551 contained 15 cysteines and 11 putative glycosylation sites with 6 predicted N-glycosylation sites. It was also matched with all PDZ domain proteins. Moreover, it showed an 85.7% match to glypican-3. Glypican-3 on HepG2 cells competitively reacted with both phycoerythrin-conjugated anti-glypican-3 and mA b 1E4-1C2 and resulted in an increase of double-stained cell population when higher concentration of m Ab 1E4-1D9 was used. Objective: To discuss a method to establish a three-dimensional model of healthy human knee joint, which can be used for further knee joint biomechanics analysis and simulation. Methods: CT scan and medical image three-dimensional reconstruction software (Mimics) were used to obtain the knee joint three-dimensional finite element model (FEM) according to reverse engineering theory. Results: FEM of knee joint with complete bone structure was established by Mimics. Conclusion: Three-dimensional FEM was established according to CT images exports as IGES file. The model can be used for knee joint biomechanics finite element analysis to provide references and proposals for the clinical diagnoses of knee joint illness, and the design of artificial knee joint prosthesis.

There is a close relation between the characteristics of products and the chemical composition control of inclusions in steelmaking process. Therefore, it is very important for a warranty of product’s characteristics to improve inclusion quality resulting in defective products. In the present work, the control technique of inclusions’ chemical composition is discussed thermodynamically based on the Redlich-Kister type polynomial to metallic solution and regular solution model to molten oxide solution. It is very effective for the precise chemical composition control of oxides to determine the concentration of deoxidizers based on the thermodynamic relation among dissolved deoxidizers and oxygen, because it is known that oxide inclusions are equilibrated with them in molten steel in the steel making process. High alloy steel production process was focused in the present work.
