Carbon Accumulation and Distribution in Ecosystems of Taiwania flousiana plantation and Successive Rotation plantation of Cunninghamia lanceolata

The 23-year-old T. flousiana plantation and successive rotation plantation of C. lanceolata at Shankou Forest Farm of Nandan county, Guangxi were tested by the method of plot investigation combining with biomass measurement. Carbon storage and spatial distribution of different components in the two forests were analyzed. The results indicated that carbon content in different organs of T. flousiana ranged from 426.0 to 503.9 g/kg, and the order was bark 〉stem 〉 root 〉 branch 〉 leaf. The carbon contents in shrub, herb and litter layers were452.9 , 408.0 and 428.9 g/kg, respectively. Carbon content in the soil （0 -80 cm）was 16.59 g/kg. The carbon content in different organs of C. lanceolata ranged from 464.5 to 508.9 g/kg, and the order was bark 〉 stem 〉 branch 〉 root 〉 leaf. The carbon contents in shrub, herb and litter layers were 456.2, 416.3 and 468.1 g/kg, respectively. Carbon content in the soil （0 -80 cm）was 15.77 g/kg. Total carbon storage amounts of T. flousiana plantation and successive rotation plantation of C. lanceolata were 245.83 and 213.52 t/hm^2, respectively. The carbon storage order of different structure layers from T. flousiana plantation and successive rotation plantation of C. lanceolata was soil layer （0 -8 0 cm）〉 vegetation layer 〉 litter layer. Annual net productivity in the arbor layers of T. flousiana plantation and successive rotation plantation of C. lanceolata plantations was 10.75 and 17.13 t/（hm^2 · a） ; annual net carbon fixation amounts were estimated as 5.05 and 3.47 t /（hm^2 · a） ; annual net absorption C02 amounts were 18.53 and 12.73 t/（hm^2 · a） respectively.

[Objectives]This study was conducted to reveal the characteristics of nutrient absorption and accumulation in Pinus massoniana plantations in Northwestern Guangxi.[Methods]Based on field investigation and indoor analysis,the contents,accumulation and annual net accumulation of five nutrient elements(N,P,K,Ca and Mg)in a mature *** plantation(26-year-old)in Nandan county,Guangxi Province were studied.[Results]The contents of nutrient elements in different organs of the mature *** plantation were the highest in the leaves,followed by the bark,branch and root,and the lowest in the *** general,among the contents of the five elements in different organs,N content was the highest,followed by K or Ca,and P and Mg were the *** total accumulation of nutrient elements in the 26-year-old mature *** plantation in northwestern Guangxi was 1 384.05 kg/hm^*** the different structural levels of the stand,the tree layer had the highest accumulation of nutrient elements,which was 1 198.41 kg/hm^2,accounting for 86.59%of the total accumulation of nutrients in the plantation,and the accumulation of nutrients in other layers from the largest to the smallest was the litter layer(91.97 kg/hm^2),herb layer(49.86 kg/hm^2)and shrub layer(43.92 kg/hm^2),accounting for 3.17%,3.60%and 6.64%of the total nutrient accumulation of the plantation,*** annual net accumulation of nutrient elements in the tree layer of the mature *** plantation was 46.09 kg/(hm^2·a),and the order of the annual net accumulation of different nutrient elements followed N>K>Ca>Mg>P;and the accumulation of 1 t of dry matter needed 6.37 kg of the five nutrients.[Conclusions]This study provides a scientific basis for the rational management of *** plantations,especially forest soil management.

Hevea brasiliensis is one of the important economic trees with a great economic value for natural rubber *** between roots of *** and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)is widely recognized,and can provide a range of benefits for both of *** Island harbors is one of the largest plantations of *** in China,whereas the information regarding the diversity of AMF in the rhizosphere of *** on this island is *** diversity of AMF species in the rhizosphere of rubber tree plantations in Hainan was investigated in this study.A total of 72 soil samples from the rhizosphere of *** RY7-33-97 were *** included 48 samples from plantations in 11 cities or counties that had been planted for 15–25 years,and 24 samples from a demonstrating plantation site of the China National Rubber Tree Germplasm Repository representing plantations with tree plantation ages from one to 40 ***,a total of 68 morphotypes of AMF,belonging to the genera of Archaeospora(1),Glomus(43),Acaulospora(18),Entrophospora(3),Scutellospora(2),and Gigaspora(1)were isolated and identified,as per morphological characteristics of spores presented in the collected soil ***(Frequency,F=100%)and Acaulospora(F=100%)were the predominant genera,and ***(F=63.9%)and ***(F=63.9%)were the predominant *** species differed significantly among collected sites in spore density(SD,290.7–2,186.7 spores per 100 g dry soil),species richness(SR,4.3–12.3),and Shannon-Weiner index of diversity(H,1.24–2.24).SD was negatively correlated with available phosphorus level in the soil;SR was positively correlated with soil total phosphorus content;and H was positively correlated with levels of soil organic matter and total ***,SD,SR,and H were also correlated with *** plantation age,and an increasing trend was observed up to 40 *** results suggest that the AMF community was

Effects of Different Combinations of Fertilization and Agrochemical Application on Yield and Cost-effectiveness of Cucumber

This study was conducted to provide reference for rational fertilization and agrochemical application in cucumber plantation,and relieve the problem of environmental pollution and vegetable agrochemical residues. The effects of different combinations of fertilization and agrochemical application on cucumber yield and cost input were investigated. Four treatments were conducted,including T1（ conventional fertilization ＋ conventional agrochemical application,CK）,T2（ conventional fertilization ＋ recommended agrochemical application）,T3（ recommended fertilization ＋ conventional agrochemical application） and T4（ recommended fertilization ＋ recommended agrochemical application）. The results showed that T4 had fewer kinds of fertilizers and agrochemicals than that of T1,and had a yield increasing effect on cucumber,and the yield increase was 7 003. 5 kg/hm^2,with an increasing rate of 19. 25%; and it also had obvious cost-saving and benefit-increasing effects,specifically,the cost was saved by 10 941 yuan/hm^2 and the benefit was increased by 31 951. 5 yuan/hm^2. The results of this experiment were satisfactory,and higher benefit was obtained with lower input. This study will provide reference for cucumber planter to choose fertilizers and agrochemicals,and lays a foundation for alleviating the ecological soil problems.

The present study introduced the concept and characteristics of preserved tea plantation,and analyzed application and benefit of stereoscopic trimming and pruning technology in the cultivation of tea tree canopy in preserved tea *** results show that the stereoscopic trimming and pruning technology of tea trees has more advantages in production efficiency than other trimming and pruning techniques in terms of yield and output value,and can better exert the regeneration ability of tea *** grade of branching is increased from grade 3-4 before unpruning to grade 9-13(3-4 times higher),the length of internode is increased from 1-2 cm to 3-7 cm(increased 3-4 times),the picking area is increased from 0.9 m×1.1 m to 2.8 m×4.2 m(an increase of nearly 10 times),accordingly achieving the best production and economic benefits required in tea production.

[Objectives]This study was conducted to understand the carbon sequestration function of mature Pinus massoniana plantation in northwest Guangxi.[Methods]The carbon storage and distribution in a 26-year-old *** plantation were investigated through biomass harvesting in Shankou Forestry Farm of Nandan county,Guangxi Province.[Results]The average carbon content of *** was 489.3 g/kg,and the carbon contents of different organs ranked from large to small as pine needles > trunks > trunk bark > roots > *** carbon contents of understory shrub layer,herb layer and litter layer were 453.0,425.6 and 482.5 g/kg,*** soil organic carbon content in forestland varied from 6.20 to 32.15 g/kg,decreasing with the depth of the soil *** carbon storage of the mature *** plantation ecosystem was 232.13 t/hm^2,of which the tree layer,shrub layer,herb layer,litter layer and soil layer were 92.67,1.36,1.12 and 134.49 t/hm^2,respectively,which accounted for 39.92%,0.59%,0.48%,1.07% and 57.94% of the carbon storage of the whole ecosystem,*** annual net productivity of the tree layer of the mature *** plantation was 10.36 t/(hm^2·a),the annual net carbon sequestration was 5.41 t/(hm^2·a),and the annual net CO2 absorption was 19.83 t/(hm^2·a).[Conclusions]This study provides basic data and scientific basis for rational evaluation of the ecological benefits of *** plantation in this area.
