Gradient‑Layered MXene/Hollow Lignin Nanospheres Architecture Design for Flexible and Stretchable Supercapacitors

With the rapid development of flexible wearable electronics,the demand for stretchable energy storage devices has *** this work,a novel gradient-layered architecture was design based on single-pore hollow lignin nanospheres(HLNPs)-intercalated two-dimensional transition metal carbide(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene)for fabricating highly stretchable and durable *** depositing and inserting HLNPs in the MXene layers with a bottom-up decreasing gradient,a multilayered porous MXene structure with smooth ion channels was constructed by reducing the overstacking of MXene ***,the micro-chamber architecture of thin-walled lignin nanospheres effectively extended the contact area between lignin and MXene to improve ion and electron accessibility,thus better utilizing the pseudocapacitive property of *** these strategies effectively enhanced the capacitive performance of the *** addition,HLNPs,which acted as a protective phase for MXene layer,enhanced mechanical properties of the wrinkled stretchable electrodes by releasing stress through slip and deformation during the stretch-release cycling and greatly improved the structural integrity and capacitive stability of the *** electrodes and symmetric flexible all-solid-state supercapacitors capable of enduring 600%uniaxial tensile strain were developed with high specific capacitances of 1273 mF cm^(−2)(241 F g^(−1))and 514 mF cm^(−2)(95 F g^(−1)),***,their capacitances were well preserved after 1000 times of 600%stretch-release *** study showcased new possibilities of incorporating biobased lignin nanospheres in energy storage devices to fabricate stretchable devices leveraging synergies among various two-dimensional nanomaterials.

Positron-impact ionisation of atomic hydrogen in the presence of a bichromatic laser field

The positron impact-ionisation of atomic hydrogen in the presence of a linearly polarised bichromatic field is investigated in the first Born approximation. The field is composed of a fundamental frequency and its second harmonic. The state of positron in the field is described by the Volkov wavefunction, and the continuum state of the ejected electron is described by the Coulomb-Volkov wavefunction. The dressed ground state of target is a first order time-dependent perturbative wavefunction. The triple differential cross sections and their dependencies on laser field parameters are discussed and compared with the results modified by a monochromatic field. Numerical results show that the coherent phase control is significant and the laser-assisted ionisation cross sections caused by positron and electron are different.

This paper theoretically investigates the coherent phase control in electron-argon scattering assisted by a bichro- matic laser field. The laser field is composed of a fundamental component and its second harmonic. The incoming and out going states of electron are described by the Volkov wave functions, and the electron-target interaction is treated as a screening potential. Numerical results for differential cross section of multiphoton processes vs the phase difference between the two components of laser field are discussed for several scattering angles and impact energies.

MicroRNAs as potential diagnostic biomarkers for bipolar disorder

Abnormal expression of microRNAs is connected to brain development and disease and could provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of bipolar disorder. We performed a PubMed search for microRNA biomarkers in bipolar disorder and found 18 original research articles on studies performed with human patients and published from January 2011 to June 2023. These studies included microRNA profiling in bloodand brain-based materials. From the studies that had validated the preliminary findings,potential candidate biomarkers for bipolar disorder in adults could be miR-140-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood, miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood plasma, and miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood serum. Two of the studies had investigated the changes in microRNA expression of patients with bipolar disorder receiving treatment. One showed a significant increase in plasma miR-134 compared to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment which included typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics, and benzodiazepines. The other study had assessed the effects of prescribed medications which included neurotransmitter receptorsite binders(drug class B) and sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, and analgesics(drug class C) on microRNA results. The combined effects of the two drug classes increased the significance of the results for miR-219 and-29c with miR-30e-3p and-526b* acquiring significance. MicroRNAs were tested to see if they could serve as biomarkers of bipolar disorder at different clinical states of mania, depression, and euthymia. One study showed that upregulation in whole blood of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and of miR-107,-125a-3p occurred in manic and euthymic patients compared to controls, respectively, and that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found for manic compared to euthymic patients. Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar for highly proficient green hydrogen electrocatalyst at high current density

Advanced OeR/HeR electrocatalytic alternatives are crucial for the wide adaptation of green hydrogen ***,Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar （SCP）,denoted as Ru/NiMnB,is synthesized using a combination of electro-deposition and hydrothermal *** investigation of Ru doping in the NiMnB matrix revealed significant improvements in electrocatalytic *** Ru/NiMnB SCPs demonstrate superior OeR/HeR activity with low overpotentials of 150 and 103 mV at 50mA/cm2in 1 M KOH,making them highly competitive with state-of-the-art ***,the Ru/NiMnB SCPs exhibit a low 2-e cell voltage of 2.80 V at ultra-high current density of 2,000 m A/cm2in 1 M KOH,outperforming the standard benchmark electrodes of RuO2||Pt/C,thereby positioning Ru/NiMnB as one of the best bifunctional *** SCPs exhibit exceptional high-current characteristics,stability and corrosion resistance,as evidenced by continuous operation at 1,000 mA/cm2high-current density for over 150 h in 6 M KOH at elevated temperatures under harsh industrial *** a small amount of Ru incorporation significantly enhances the electrocatalytic performances of NiMnB,attributed to increased active sites and improved intrinsic properties such as conductivity,adsorption/desorption capability and reaction ***,Ru/NiMnB SCPs present a promising bi-functional electrode concept for efficient green H2production.

A counterexample of the euler condition:the Appell-Hamel dynamical system on a horizontally moving plate

As a counterexample of the euler condition for nonholonomic constraint problems [H. C. Shen, Acta Phys. Sin. 54, 2468 （2005）], we investigate the Apell-Hamel dynamical system on a horizontally moving plate. The inconsistency of the results with Newton mechanics suggests that the euler condition is not a universal model for nonlinear nonholonomic systems. This is attributed to the fact that the virtual displacements so obtained are not normal to the constraint forces.

Precision Tests of the Nonlinear Mode Coupling of Anisotropic Flow via High-energy Collisions of Isobars

Valuable information on dynamics of expanding fluids can be inferred from the response of such systems to perturbations in their initial *** apply this technique in high-energy^(96)Ru+^(96)Ru and^(96)Zr+^(96)Zr collisions to scrutinize the expansion dynamics of the quark-gluon plasma,where the initial geometry perturbations are sourced by the differences in deformations and radial profiles between^(96)Ru and^(96)Zr,and the collective response is captured by the change in anisotropic flow Vn between the two collision *** a transport model,we analyze how the nonlinear coupling between lower-order flow harmonics V_(2)and V_(3)to the higher-order flow harmonics V_(4)and V_(5),expected to scale as V_(4)NL= χ_(4)V_(2)2and V_(5)NL= χ_(5)V_(2)V_(3),gets modified as one moves from^(96)Ru+^(96)Ru to^(96)Zr+^(96)Zr *** find that these scaling relations are valid to high precision:variations of order 20% in V_(4)NLand V_(5)NLdue to differences in quadrupole deformation,octupole deformation,and nuclear skin modify χ_(4)and χ_(5)by about 1–2%.Percent-level deviations are however larger than the expected experimental uncertainties and could be ***,collisions of isobars with different nuclear structures are a unique tool to isolate subtle nonlinear effects in the expansion of the quark-gluon plasma that would be otherwise impossible to access in a single collision system.

Polyethylene glycol fusion repair of severed sciatic nerves accelerates recovery of nociceptive sensory perceptions in male and female rats of different strains

Successful polyethylene glycol fusion(PeG-fusion)of severed axons following peripheral nerve injuries for PeG-fused axons has been reported to:(1)rapidly restore electrophysiological continuity;(2)prevent distal Wallerian Degeneration and maintain their myelin sheaths;(3)promote primarily motor,voluntary behavioral recoveries as assessed by the Sciatic Functional Index;and,(4)rapidly produce correct and incorrect connections in many possible combinations that produce rapid and extensive recovery of functional peripheral nervous system/central nervous system connections and reflex(e.g.,toe twitch)or voluntary *** preceding companion paper describes sensory terminal field reo rganization following PeG-fusion repair of sciatic nerve transections or ablations;howeve r,sensory behavioral recovery has not been explicitly explored following PeG-fusion *** the current study,we confirmed the success of PeG-fusion surgeries according to criteria(1-3)above and more extensively investigated whether PeG-fusion enhanced mechanical nociceptive recovery following sciatic transection in male and female outbred Sprague-Dawley and inbred Lewis *** nociceptive responses were assessed by measuring withdrawal thresholds using von Frey filaments on the dorsal and midplantar regions of the *** von Frey filament tests were a more reliable method than plantar von Frey filament tests to assess mechanical nociceptive sensitivity following sciatic nerve *** withdrawal thresholds of the sciatic-mediated lateral dorsal region differed significantly across strain but not *** thresholds did not change significantly from baseline in chronic Unoperated and Sham-operated *** sciatic transection,all rats exhibited severe hyposensitivity to stimuli at the lateral dorsal region of the hindpaw ipsilateral to the ***,PeG-fused rats exhibited significantly earlier return to baseline withdrawal thresholds than Negative
