Geos.a.istical seismic inversion and 3D modelling of metric flow units,porosity and permeability in Brazilian presalt reservoir

Flow units(FU) rock typing is.a.common technique for characterizing reservoir flow behavior, producing reliable porosity and permeability estimation even in complex geological settings. However, the lateral extrapolation of FU away from the well into the whole reservoir grid is commonly a difficult task and using the seismic data as constraints is rarely a subject of study. This paper proposes.a.workflow to generate numerous possible 3D volumes of flow units, porosity and permeability below the seismic resolution limit, respecting the available seismic data at larger s.a.es. The methodology is used in the Mero Field, a Brazilian presalt carbonate reservoir located in the santos Basin, who presents.a.complex and heterogenic geological setting with different sedimentological processes.a.d diagenetic history. We generated metric flow units using the conventional core analysis.a.d transposed to the well log data.Then, given a Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm, the seismic data and the well log s.a.istics, we simulated acoustic impedance, decametric flow units(DFU), metric flow units(MFU), porosity and permeability volumes in the metric s.a.e. The aim is to estimate a minimum amount of MFU able to calculate realistic scenarios porosity and permeability scenarios, without losing the seismic lateral control. In other words, every porosity and permeability volume simulated produces.a.synthetic seismic that match the real seismic of the area, even in the metric s.a.e. The achieved 3D results represent a high-resolution fluid flow reservoir modelling considering the lateral control of the seismic during the process.a.d can be directly incorporated in the dynamic characterization workflow.

serpentinization reactions.a.e paramount to unders.a.d hydro-geothermal activity near plate boundaries.a.d mafic–ultramafic massifs.a. well as fluid and element transfer between the Earth’s mantle and crust.However,fluid-rock element exchange and serpentinization kinetics under s.a.low hydrothermal conditions is still largely unconstrained.Here we present two cons.a.t temperature(230℃)time-series of natural peridotite(77.5%olivine;13.7%ens.a.ite;6.8%diopside;2%spinel)serpentinization experiments.a. 13.4 MPa;and 20.7 MPa.Al-enriched lizardite was the main secondary mineral in all runs.a.ter olivine(olv)and orthopyroxene(opx)serpentinization(without any detectable brucite,talc or magnetite),while primary spinel and diopside partially dissolved during the experiments.Initial serpentinization s.a.es comprises intrinsically coupled reactions between olivine and ens.a.ite,as.a. and si are progressively transferred from orthopyroxene-derived to olivine-derived serpentine,while the opposite is true for Mg and Fe,with homogenization of serpentines compositions.a.ter 40 days.The Ni/Cr ratios of serpentines,however,remain diagnostic of the respective primary mineral.Estimated average serpentine content indicates fast serpentinization rates of 0.55 wt.%·day^(-1)(0.26 mmol·day^(-1))and 0.26 wt.%·day^(-1)(0.13 mmol·day^(-1))at 13.4 and 20.7 MPa,respectively.Approximately 2x faster serpentinization kinetics.a. lower pressure is likely linked to enhanced spinel dissolution leading to one order of magnitude higher available Al,which accelerates olivine serpentinization while delays orthopyroxene dissolution.Additionally,time-dependent increase in solid products masses suggests rock volume expands linearly 0.37%±0.01%per serpentine wt.%independently of pressure.Mass balance constrains suggests olv:opx react at~5:2 and~3:2 M ratios,resulting in si-deficient and si-saturated serpentines.a. the end of the low-pressure series(13.4 MPa)and high-pressure series(20.7 MPa),respectively.Elevated s.a.ting peridotite olv:opx ratio(7.94:1)the

Multi-Criteria Wildfire Risk Hazard Assessment in GIs Environment: Projection for the Future and Impact on REs Projects Ins.a.lation Planning

It is.a.arming for the fact that Wildfires number, severity and consequently impact have significantly increased during the last years, an aftermath of the Climate Change. One of the most affected areas worldwide is Mediterranean, due to the unique combination of its type of vegetation and demanding climatic conditions. This res.a.ch is focused on the Region of Epirus in Greece, an area with significant natural vegetation and a range of geomorphological aspects. In order to estimate the Wildfire Risk Hazard, several factors have been used: geomorphological (slope, aspect, elevation, TWI, Hydrographic network), social (settlements.a.d landfils, roads, overhead lines.a.d subs.a.ions), environmental (land cover) and climatic (Fire Weather Index). Through a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in a GIs environment, the Wildfire Risk Hazard has been estimated not only for current conditions but also for future projections for the near future (2031-2060) and the far future (2071-2100). The selected case study includes the potential impact of the Wildfires to the ins.a.led (or targeted to be ins.a.led) REs projects in the studied region.

Demonstration of radar-aided flexible communication in a photonics-based W-band distributed integrated sensing and communication system for 6G

This paper experimentally demonstrates.a.distributed photonics-based W-band integrated sensing and communication(IsAC) system, in which radar sensing can aid the communication links in alignment and data rate estimation. As.a.proof-of-concept, the IsAC system locates the users, guides the alignment, and sets.a.communication link with the estimated highest data rate. A peak net data rate of 68.6 Gbit/s.a.d a target sensing with a less-than-1-cm error and a sub-2-cm resolution have been tested over a 10-km fiber and a 1.15-m free s.a.e transmission in the photonics-based W-band IsAC system. The achievable net data rates of the users.a. different locations estimated by sensing are experimentally verified.

This study aimed to describe a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) procedure using the ANsYs CFX software 16.1 and Design of Experiments for the determination of volume and extension of explosive atmospheres due to fugitive emissions of flammable gases.The multidimensional s.a.istical sampling technique Latin Hypercube was used, which defined 100 simulations of random methane gas leak conditions.The CFD model proved to be robust in predicting the extension and volume of the explosive atmosphere for orifice diameters from 0.1 to2.5 mm, pressure from 0.1 MPa to 12 MPa and temperatures from 0 ℃ to 400 ℃.It was found that the calculation domain must be parameterized 8 m in length for each millimeter of the diameter of the source of release to ensure the predictions.In order not to lose precision for very s.a.l diameters, the mesh was parameterized with 50 elements.a.ong the orifice diameter.It was proved that gravity does not influence the extension and volume of the explosive atmosphere at sonic emissions.The deviation from the ideal gas behavior in the reservoir,achieved by applying the s.a.e–Redlich–Kwong equation of s.a.e, also has not significantly influenced the extension and volume of the explosive atmosphere.The results showed that the size of the explosive atmosphere varies directly with the diameter of the source emission and reservoir pressure, and inversely with the temperature of the reservoir.The diameter of the source is the parameter that has the major effect on the extension of the explosive atmosphere, followed by the pressure and lastly the temperature of the reservoir.

Evaluating serum CXCL12,sCD22,Lp-PLA2 levels.a.d ratios.a. biomarkers for diagnosis of Alzheimer's dis.a.e

BACKGROUND Grasping the underlying mechanisms of Alzheimer's dis.a.e(AD)is still a work in progress.a.d existing diagnostic techniques encounter various obs.a.les.Therefore,the discovery of dependable biomarkers is essential for early detection,tracking the dis.a.e's.a.vancement,and steering treatment strategies.a.M To explore the diagnostic potential of serum CXCL12,sCD22,Lp-PLA2,and their ratios in AD,aiming to enhance early detection and inform targeted treatment strategies.METHODs The study was conducted in Dongying people's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.Participants included 60 AD patients.a. group)and 60 healthy people(control group).Using a prospective case-control design,the levels of CXCL12,sCD22 and Lp-PLA2 and their ratios were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent as.a. kit in the diagnosis of AD.The differences between the two groups were analyzed by s.a.istical methods.a.d the corresponding ratio was constructed to improve the specificity and sensitivity of diagnosis.REsULTs serum CXCL12 levels were higher in the AD group(47.2±8.5 ng/mL)than the control group(32.8±5.7 ng/mL,PsCD22 levels were lower(14.3±2.1 ng/mL vs 18.9±3.4 ng/mL,Ps were also higher in the AD group(112.5±20.6 ng/mL vs 89.7±15.2 ng/mL,Psignificant differences were noted in CXCL12/sCD22(3.3 vs 1.7,PsCD22 ratios(8.0 vs 5.2,Ps.Receiver operating characteristic analysis confirmed high sensitivity and specificity of these markers.a.d their ratios in distinguishing AD,with area under the curves ranging from CONCLUsION serum CXCL12 and Lp-PLA2 levels were significantly increased,while sCD22 were significantly decreased,as well as increases in the ratios of CXCL12/sCD22 and Lp-PLA2/sCD22,are closely related to the onset of AD.These biomarkers.a.d their ratios can be used as potential diagnostic indicators for AD,providing an important clinical reference for early intervention and treatment.

superhydrophobic surface(sHs) has been well developed, as sHs renders the property of minimizing the water/solid contact interface. Water droplets deposited onto sHs with contact angles exceeding 150°, allow them to retain spherical s.a.es, and the low adhesion of sHs facilitates easy droplet collection when tilting the substrate. These characteristics make sHs suitable for a wide range of applications. One particularly promising application is the fabrication of microsphere and supraparticle materials. sHs offers.a.distinct advantage as.a.universal platform capable of providing customized services for a variety of microspheres.a.d supraparticles. In this review, an overview of the strategies for fabricating microspheres.a.d supraparticles with the aid of sHs, including cross-linking process, polymer melting,and droplet template evaporation methods, is first presented. Then, the applications of microspheres.a.d supraparticles formed onto sHs.a.e discussed in detail, for example, fabricating photonic devices with controllable structures.a.d tunable structural colors, acting as catalysts with emerging or synergetic properties, being integrated into the biomedical field to construct the devices with different medicinal purposes, being utilized for inducing protein crys.a.lization and detecting trace amounts of analytes. Finally,the perspective on future developments involved with this res.a.ch field is given, along with some obs.a.les.a.d opportunities.

Prediction of net energy of feeds for broiler chickens

Net energy(NE) enables the prediction of more accurate feed energy values by taking into account the heat increment which is.a.proximately 25% of apparent metabolizable energy(AME) in poultry.Nevertheless, application of NE in poultry industry has not been practiced widely. To predict the NE values of broiler diets, 23 diets were prepared by using 13 major ingredients(wheat, corn, paddy rice,broken rice, cas.a.a pellets, full-fat soybean, soybean meal, canola meal, animal protein, rice bran, wheat bran, palm kernel meal and palm kernel oil). The diets were formulated in order to meet the birds' requirements.a.d get a wide range of chemical compositions(on DM basis; 33.6% to 55.3% for s.a.ch;20.8% to 28.4% for CP, 2.7% to 10.6% for ether extract [EE] and 7.0% to 17.2% for NDF), with low correlations between these nutrients.a.d low correlations between the inclusion levels of ingredients.a.lowing for the calculation of robust prediction equations of energy values of diets or ingredients. These diets were fed to Ross 308 broilers raised in 12 open-circuit respiratory chambers from 18 to 23 d of age(4 birds per cage) and growth performance, diet AME content and heat production were measured, and dietary NE values were calculated. The trial was conducted on a weekly basis with 12 diets measured each week(1per chamber), 1 of the 23 diets(reference diet) being measured each week. Each diet was tested at least 8times. In total, 235 energy balance data values were available for the final calculations. Growth performance, AME(15.3 MJ/kg DM on average) and AME/GE(79.4% on average) values were as expected. The NE/AME value averaged 76.6% and was negatively influenced by CP and NDF and positively by EE in connection with efficiencies of AME provided by CP, EE and s.a.ch for NE of 73%, 87% and 81%,respectively. The best prediction equation was: NE =(0.815 × AME)—(0.026 × CP) +(0.020 × EE)—(0.024 × NDF) with NE and AME as MJ/kg DM, and CP, EE and NDF as % of DM. Background:Perihilar cholangiocarcinoma(phCCC)is.a.dis.a. malignancy.There is no consensus regard-ing the best treatment for patients with unresectable phCCC.The present review aimed to gather the current pieces of evidence for liver transplantation and liver resection as.a.treatment for phCCC and to build better guidance for clinical practice.Data sources:The s.a.ch was conducted in PubMed,Embase,Cochrane,and LILACs.The related references were s.a.ched manually.Inclusion criteria were:reports in English or Portuguese literature that a)patients with confirmed diagnosis of phCCC;b)patients treated with a curative intent;c)patients with the outcomes of liver resection and liver transplantation.Case reports,reviews,letters,editorials,conference abstracts.a.d papers with full-text unavailability were excluded from the analysis.Results:Most of the current literature is based on observational retrospective studies with low grades of evidence.Liver resection has better long-term outcomes than systemic chemotherapy or palliation ther-apy and liver transplantation is.a.good alternative for selected patients with unresectable phCCC.All candidates for resection or transplantation should be medically fit and free of intrahepatic or extrahep-atic dis.a.es.a. a general rule,patients presenting with a tumor having a longitudinal size>3 cm or extending below the cystic duct,lymph node dis.a.e,confirmed extrahepatic dissemination;intraoper-atively diagnosed metas.a.ic dis.a.e;a history of other malignancies within the last five years.a.d did not complete chemoradiation regimen and were medically unfit should not be considered for transplan-tation.some of these criteria should be individually assessed.Liver transplantation or resection should only be considered in highly experienced hepatobiliary centers.a.d any decision-making must be based on a multidisciplinary evaluation.Conclusions:phCCC is.a.complex condition with high morbidity.surgical therapies,including hepatec-tomy and liver transplantation,are the best option for bette

In perovskite solar cells(PsCs),the inherent defects of perovskite film and the random distribution of excess lead iodide(PbI_(2))prevent the improvement of efficiency and s.a.ility.Herein,natural cellulose is used as the raw material to design a series of cellulose derivatives for perovskite crys.a.lization engineering.The cationic cellulose derivative C-Im-CN with cyano-imidazolium(Im-CN)cation and chloride anion prominently promotes the crys.a.lization process,grain growth,and directional orientation of perovskite.Meanwhile,excess PbI_(2)is transferred to the surface of perovskite grains or formed plate-like crys.a.lites in local domains.These effects result in suppressing defect formation,decreasing grain boundaries,enhancing carrier extraction,inhibiting non-radiative recombination,and dramatically prolonging carrier lifetimes.Thus,the PsCs exhibit a high power conversion efficiency of 24.71%.Moreover,C-Im-CN has multiple interaction sites.a.d polymer skeleton,so the unencapsulated PsCs maintain above 91.3%of their initial efficiencies.a.ter 3000 h of continuous operation in a conventional air atmosphere and have good s.a.ility under high humidity conditions.The utilization of biopolymers with excellent structure-designability to manage the perovskite opens.a.s.a.e-of-the-art avenue for manufacturing and improving PsCs.
