This article presents a history of the origins of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Abbreviated as DICP) and relates the recent friendship between China and Japan in the field of catalysis. Although the official beginning of DICP is in 1949 with the birth of the People’s Republic of China, there are earlier roots that went back to the defeat of russia by Imperial Japan in 1905. This began a period of occupation and exploitation of Northest Asia by Japan which did not end until its defeat by Allied forces in 1945. During the period of occupation, a laboratory was created called the Central Research Laboratory of the South Manchurian Railroad Company, which was staffed by the best and brightest researchers from Japan, and was able to develop new processes in chemicals and synthetic fuels that fed the Japanese Imperial forces. Between 1945 and 1949, Dalian was administered by the Soviet Union, and the removable equipment from the Laboratory was taken. In this period one individual stood out, the Laboratory Director Marusawa Tsuneya, who risked his life to preserve the scientific records and staff of the institute, and then stayed in Dalian for ten years after the Second World War to help China rebuild its capabilities. The Central Research Laboratory is still preserved as the Old Campus of *** origin of the friendship between China and Japan in catalysis can be traced to Professor Morikawa Kiyoshi, who worked in the Central Research Laboratory and helped commercialize a shale coal liquefaction process. Upon his return to Japan he became Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and in 1975 organized the first visit by Japanese academics to China. This was reciprocated in visits to Japan in 1977 and 1980 by top researchers such as Zhang Dayu, Min Enze, Tsai Khirui, Lu Jiaxi, and Lin Liwu. AIM To assess daclatasvir plus asunaprevir(d UAL) in treatment-na?ve patients from China's Mainland, russia and South Korea with hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype 1 b infection. METHODS Patients were randomly assigned(3:1) to receive 24 wk of treatment with d UAL(daclatasvir 60 mg once daily and asunaprevir 100 mg twice daily) beginning on day 1 of the treatment period(immediate treatment arm) or following 12 wk of matching placebo(placebodeferred treatment arm). The primary endpoint was a comparison of sustained virologic response at posttreatment week 12(SVR12) compared with the historical SVR rate for peg-interferon plus ribavirin(70%) among patients in the immediate treatment arm. The first 12 wk of the study were blinded. Safety was assessed in d UAL-treated patients compared with placebo patients during the first 12 wk(doubleblind phase), and during 24 wk of d UAL in both arms *** In total, 207 patients were randomly assigned to immediate(n = 155) or placebo-deferred(n = 52) treatment. Most patients were Asian(86%), female(59%) and aged < 65 years(90%). Among them, 13% had cirrhosis, 32% had IL28 B non-CC genotypes and 53% had baseline HCV RNA levels of ≥ 6 million IU/m L. Among patients in the immediate treatment arm, SVR12 was achieved by 92%(95% confidence interval: 87.2-96.0), which was significantly higher than the historical comparator rate(70%). SVR12 was largely unaffected by cirrhosis(89%), age ≥ 65 years(92%), male sex(90%), baseline HCV RNA ≥ 6 million(89%) or IL28 B non-CC genotypes(96%), although SVR12 was higher among patients without(96%) than among those with(53%) baseline NS5 A resistanceassociated polymorphisms(at L31 or Y93 H). during the double-blind phase, aminotransferase elevations were more common among placebo recipients than among patients receiving d UAL. during 24 wk of d UAL therapy(combined arms), the most common adverse events(≥ 10%) were elevated alanine aminotransferase and upper respiratory tract infection; emergent

Supercritical fluids are becoming increasingly attractive as environmentally acceptable replacement for organic solvents in chemical reactions and material processing. This paper highlights some of the properties of supercritical fluids, especially supercritical CO2, which offer particular advantages for the handling of polymers, metal complexes and the environmentally more friendly synthesis and manufacture of chemicals. The paper includes same of the researches in university of Nottingham and a number of recent reviews which together provide a comprehensive introduction.

In his first phone call with russian President Vladimir Putin on September 29,2020,Japan’s new Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga expressed his willingness to“develop the overall relationship between Japan and russia”and“stressed the need to put an end to the Northern Territories issue without leaving it to the next generation.”In response,Putin said that he intended to continue discussing all bilateral issues.1 The two sides also reaffirmed that they would“continue efforts to comprehensively advance russia-Japan relations for the peoples of the two countries and the entire Asia-Pacific region.”2 Looking ahead to russia-Japan relations after Suga came to power,it is still necessary to review the relations during the administration of his predecessor Shinzo Abe,who has made positive attempts,so as to better understand the features,cruxes and the future direction of russia-Japan relations.
