Background: Diabetes education is crucial in empowering persons with Type 1 diabetes (T1DM) and their families to properly manage the condition by providing comprehensive knowledge, tools, and support. It boosts one’s belief in their ability to succeed, encourages following medical advice, and adds to the general enhancement of health. Objective: This study is to investigate the effectiveness of diabetes education in empowering individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and their families to effectively manage the condition. Furthermore, it strives to improve nursing care for families whose children have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM). Design: This research study investigates the efficacy of diabetes education in empowering individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and their families to effectively handle the condition. Materials and Methods: A systematic search was conducted between the years 2000 and 2022, utilizing the Medline and Google Scholar databases. The purpose of the search was to uncover relevant papers pertaining to diabetes education, management of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM), nurse care, and empowerment. The search focused on peer-reviewed research, clinical trials, and scholarly articles that evaluated the efficacy of diabetes education in empowering individuals and families. Results: Diabetes education is crucial for understanding and controlling T1DM. It includes personalized sessions, webinars, group classes, and clinics that provide customized therapies. Comprehensive education enhances glycemic control and family dynamics. Nevertheless, the implementation of diabetes education for families requires specific standards, especially in the field of nursing. 目的旨在评估儿科重症监护护士对腹内压监测的知识、态度和实践现状及培训需求,为临床制订相关培训方案和操作流程提供参考依据。方法采用横断面调查法。2023年4月—6月选取浙江省8所三级甲等医院212名儿科重症监护护士为研究对象。采用自行编制的腹内压监测知信行评估问卷进行调查,包括知识(14个条目)、态度(6个条目)和实践(8个条目)3个维度,共28个条目。结果护士问卷总分为(60.73±8.35)分;知识维度得分为(7.84±2.35)分,得分率为56.0%;态度维度得分为(25.16±3.23)分,得分率为83.9%;实践维度得分为(28.44±6.46)分,得分率为69.3%。接受过腹内压监测培训的护士问卷总分、知识和行为维度得分均高于未接受培训的护士;年龄≤30岁的护士知识维度得分高于年龄>30岁的护士(P<0.05)。55.7%的护士认为目前的知识不足以有效地进行腹内压监测。难以识别腹内高压高危人群(64.6%)、不熟悉腹内压测量的操作流程(55.6%)和护患比分配不合理(52.8%)是护士实施腹内压监测的主要障碍因素。结论儿科重症监护护士对腹内压监测持积极的态度,但其知识水平和实践行为仍有待加强,特别是对已发表的共识定义、腹内压测量方法和监测频率方面的知识是不充分的。护理管理人员要根据护士的培训需求和实施腹内压监测的潜在障碍因素,实施针对性的腹内压监测培训方案,以促进腹内压监测的标准化和科学性。

Knowledge and practice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among parents of under-five children with urinary catheter

Objectives:The objectives of this study were to assess the knowledge and practice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among parents of under-five children with urinary *** and Methods:This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 1,2021,to September 11,2021,in a tertiary hospital in north *** sampling was used to select 50 *** instruments were employed for data collection after fulfilling sample criteria;for baseline information demographic tool,knowledge questionnaires,and a practice *** were analyzed using descriptive and inferential ***:On assessment of 50 participants,the majority of parents aged above 30 years(74%).Most of the participants were male(82%),graduated(38%),and working in the private sector(58%).Similarly,two-thirds of participants were residing in a nuclear family(64%)with a single child 32(64%)and family income<5000 rupees per month(60%).The mean score of knowledge was 1.94±0.81 and that of practice skills was 1.98±0.85 on home-based *** analysis showed that knowledge of parents was significantly associated with qualification(β:1.821,P=0.002).Similarly,association of practice skills of parents with gender(β:1.235,P=0.050)and qualification(β:1.889,P=0.00)was ***:The general findings of our study showed that parents’education and occupation played a significant role in a child’s *** education and catheter care skills positively affect the child and reduce readmission rates.

Skin-to-skin contact(SSC)consists of positioning the diaper-clad infant against the parent’s chest and is considered a nursing practice rooted in family-centered care(FCC).1 SSC implies simultaneous parental presence and helps to facilitate their involvement from the earliest hours of their preterm infants’lives as this intervention is delivered by parents.1 FCC has gained worldwide popularity in recent years to promote parental presence and active participation of parents in care during neonatal intensive care units(NICUs)hospitalization.2 Both practices relate to developmental care(DC),which regroups specific interventions aimed at reducing stress and improving infant neurological development.

Aging increases the risks of various diseases and the vulnerability to *** senescence is a hallmark of aging that contributes greatly to aging and aging-related *** study demonstrates that extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells(USC-EVs)efficiently inhibit cellular senescence in vitro and in *** intravenous injection of USC-EVs improves cognitive function,increases physical fitness and bone quality,and alleviates aging-related structural changes in different organs of senescence-accelerated mice and natural aging *** anti-aging effects of USC-EVs are not obviously affected by the USC donors’ages,genders,or health *** analysis reveals that USC-EVs are enriched with plasminogen activator urokinase(PLAU)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 1(TIMP1).These two proteins contribute importantly to the anti-senescent effects of USC-EVs associated with the inhibition of matrix metalloproteinases,cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A(P16INK4a),and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1A(P21cip1).These findings suggest a great potential of autologous USC-EVs as a promising anti-aging agent by transferring PLAU and TIMP1 proteins.

BACKGROUND Gender consciousness directly affects the development of gender identity,which is a continuous and lifelong ***,hospitalization is a part of many children's lives and has an impact on their gender *** To investigate the current situation of gender identity in lower primary school children by conducting a survey of 202 hospitalized children in the lower grades and to provide a theoretical basis and foundation for the cultivation of gender identity and medical treatment of children based on the *** study aims to inspire clinical medical staff to scientifically and reasonably arrange hospital wards for lower primary school children and pay attention to gender protection during the medical treatment process and to help children shape a unified and clear gender identity,which will enable them to better integrate into society and promote their personality *** The gender consciousness scale for elementary and middle school students was RESULTS Gender identity was already present in lower primary school *** children's gender roles and gender equality consciousness were strong,exceeding the critical value,but their gender characteristics,gender identity,and gender ideal consciousness were *** aged 6 had the weakest gender identity,and girls had significantly stronger gender identity than *** Gender identity is already present in lower primary school children,providing a basis and inspiration for the cultivation of gender identity and medical treatment of lower primary school *** medical staff should be aware of and understand these results and should scientifically and reasonably arrange hospital wards for lower primary school children.
