Introduction: The aim of our study was to describe the aspects clinical and pathology of digestive polyps. Methods: This was a descriptive and analytical study with retrospective and prospective collection from January 2014 to September 2020, i.e. a duration of 72 months. Our study focused on all cases of non-cancerous digestive pathologies. The data were collected from registers, medical files and reports from the anatomy and pathological cytology department of the Point G University Hospital. All of this data was entered on an individual survey form. This sheet includes demographic data, qualitative and quantitative variables. Results: We conducted a study of 131 cases of digestive polyps. The frequency of digestive polyps was 3.65%. The mean age of our patients was 44.6 ± 21 years with extremes of 2 years and 79 years, with a male predominance and a sex ratio of 1.01. The biopsy was the type of sample most represented in 77.1%. The digestive polyps were located in stomach in 37.4%;the colon in 27.5% then the rectum 21.4%. The polyp sessile accounted for 65.6%. Histological examination revealed that adenomatous polyps were predominant in 77% of cases, followed by juvenile polyps in 9.2%, then hyperplastic polyps in 6.2%. Low grade dysplasia was found in adenomatous polyps in 61.53% and high grade found in 38.4%. Gastritis due to Helicobacter pylori (Hp) was found in 16% of cases. Conclusion: Digestive polyps are common in the general population. The prognosis is linked to the risk of neoplastic degeneration of adenomas.

Prostate cancer(PCa)is one of the most frequent cancers in men,and its biomolecular targets have been extensively *** study aimed to analyze the expression of toll-like receptor 9(TLR9)and vascular endothelial growth factor C(VEGF-C)and the clinical value of the coexpression of TLR9 and VEGF-C in *** retrospectively evaluated 55 patients with clinically localized,intermediate-risk,or high-risk PCa who underwent laparoscopic radical prostatectomy(LRP)and extended pelvic lymph node dissection(ePLND)without neoadjuvant hormonal therapy at a single institution from June 2013 to December *** all 55 patients,the median number of lymph nodes(LNs)resected was 23(range:18-31),and a total of 1269 LNs were removed,of which 78 LNs were *** patients had positive LNs,with a positive rate of 30.9%.In addition,the immunohistochemical results in the above patients revealed that high TLR9 expression was correlated with higher Gleason score(GS)(P=0.049),increased LN metastasis(P=0.004),and more perineural invasion(PNI)(P=0.033).Moreover,VEGF-C expression was associated with GS(P=0.040),pathological stage(pT stage)(P=0.022),LN metastasis(P=0.003),and PNI(P=0.001).Furthermore,a significant positive correlation between TLR9 and VEGF-C was found(P<0.001),and the TLR9/VEGF-C phenotype was associated with LN metastasis(P=0.047).Collectively,we propose that TLR9 stimulation may promote LN metastasis in PCa cells through the upregulation of VEGF-C expression,thereby affecting the prognosis of PCa ***,these markers may serve as valuable targets for the treatment of PCa.

Objective： Extranodal involvement represents a peculiar presentation of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma（DLBCL）. Previous studies have suggested that older patients are more prone to extranodal involvement. This study retrospectively addressed the distribution, prognostic value and treatment options of extranodal involvement in young patients with ***： A total of 329 patients were enrolled according to the inclusion requirements. The effects of gender,extranodal involvement, age-adjusted international prognostic index（aa IPI）, rituximab infusion and radiotherapy on patient outcomes were ***： Among these patients, 59% presented extranodal involvement in 16 anatomic sites. More than one instance was linked to many poorer clinical characteristics and poorer survival compared with either nodal disease or one instance. AIM: To investigate human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2) amplification and protein expression in mixed gastric ***: Fluorescence in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry were used to detect HER2 amplification and protein expression in 277 cases of mixed gastric carcinoma. Protein staining intensity was rate as 1+, 2+, or 3+.RESULTS: Of the 277 cases, 114(41.2%) expressed HER2 protein. HER2 3+ staining was observed in 28/277(10.1%) cases, 2+ in 37/277(13.4%) cases, and 1+ in 49/277(17.7%) cases. A HER2 amplification rate of 17% was detected, of which 25/28(89.3%) were observed in the HER2 3+ staining group, 17/37(45.9%) in 2+, and 5/49(10.2%) in 1+. Of the 47 patients with HER2 amplification who received chemotherapy plus trastuzumab, 22 demonstrated median progression-free and overall survivals of 9.1 mo and 16.7 mo, respectively, which were significantly better than those achieved with chemotherapy alone(5.6 mo and 12.1 mo, respectively) in 19 previously treated patients(P s < 0.05). CONCLUSION: HER2 detection in mixed gastric carcinoma displays high heterogeneity. Relativelyquantitative parameters are needed for assessing the level of HER2 amplification and protein expression.

Introduction: Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis is a rare condition characterized by the presence of gas cysts in the intestinal wall. It can affect different segments of the digestive tract. Male patients over 50 years old seem to be more affected. Classically, one opposes the primary or idiopathic forms and the secondary forms. Case Report: We report the case of a 62-year-old female patient with a history of treated peptic ulcers, who presented with episodes of intermittent atypical abdominal pain that worsened abruptly. The physical examination revealed a surgical abdomen with tenderness to palpation. The patient underwent a jejunal resection. The pathological examination showed macroscopically an intestinal fragment with confluent subserosal and intestinal intraparietal bullae. On opening, the portion containing the bullae was thickened, infarcted, congestive, hemorrhagic, and brittle with narrowing of the intestinal lumen. The bullae are tense and leave serosities. On histological examination, the intestinal wall was very congestive with hemorrhagic patches of suffusion. There were optically empty cystic formations that do not communicate with the digestive lumen. The adjacent mucosa is the site of a moderate subacute inflammatory reaction. Conclusion: Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis is a rare and usually benign pathology. The symptoms, when they exist, are not specific. Its physiopathology is still very much debated. The prognosis is generally good. The knowledge of this pathology is necessary to avoid invasive explorations and heavy treatment without interest for the patient.

Tonsillitis or angina, is considered as an inflammation of the palatine tonsils most often of infectious origin. It can be acute or chronic. The germs in question are mostly viruses and bacteria. Objectives: The objective of this work was to study the epidemiological and therapeutic profile of tonsillitis and their complications in the ENT department and Head and Neck Surgery of the Mother-Child University Hospital in Luxembourg. Patients and Methods: This is a prospective study over a 12-month period from January 2018 to December 2018, including all patients who presented with tonsillitis and/or their complications. Results: Three hundred and fifteen (315) patients were collected during this period. The average age in our study was 14.25 years with extremes ranging from 2 years to 61 years. The sex ratio was 0.65 in favor of the female sex. During this period we recorded 80.95% of cases of uncomplicated tonsillitis including 60.50% for acute tonsillitis, 24.5% for chronic tonsillitis 5% for adenoid tonsillitis and 19.05% for complications. Complications included peritonsillar phlegmon 42.22%, heart disease 33.33%, cervical cellulitis 8.89%, adeno-phlegmon 6.67%, para-pharyngeal abscess 4.44%, and sepsis 4.44%. The exclusive medical treatment was performed in 44.31%. Surgical treatment (drainage incision and tonsillectomy) was performed in 55.69%. Conclusion: Tonsillitis and its complications represent an important pathology in ENT. Feynophagy febrile is the pair-origin symptom that can lead to the diagnosis. The prevention of complications is the guarantor of the reduction of its morbidity. We recommend that in the absence of RDT (Rapid Diagnostic Test), it is necessary to systematize antibiotic therapy to prevent serious complications.

Patients with extremely severe oligozoospermia （ESO） and cryptozoospermia （CO） are suitable using intracytoplasmic sperm injection （ICSI） as an infertility treatment. However, some andrologists are confused to distinguish ESO and CO in clinic diagnose. This study was designed for the first time to evaluate and compare patients with ESO and CO to determine whether these are useful clinical distinctions. A total of 270 infertile men in our center were classified into four groups as Group nonobstruction azoospermia （NOA, n = 44）, Group ESO （n = 78）, Group CO （n = 40）, and Group obstruction azoospermia （OA, n = 108）. Comparisons of the volume of bilateral testes, the level of follicle stimulating hormone （FSH） and inhibin B were obtained in four groups. Then comparisons of fertilization rates, cleavage rate, and excellent embryos rate were obtained when couples performed ICSh All indexes （volume of bilateral testis, level of FSH and inhibin B） in Groups ESO and CO were no difference, while Groups OA versus NOA, OA versus ESO, and OA versus CO were significant differences （P 〈 0.05）. The rates of fertilization were no differences in Groups ESO and CO while Groups OA versus ESO, OA versus CO were significant differences （P 〈 0.05）. Therefore, the spermatogenic functions in patients with CO and ESO were similar, better than NOA but worse than OA. However, it would be helpful to evaluate their spermatogenesis using testicular biopsies, especially accompanied azoospermia in clinical practice.
