As one of the most spectacular energy release events in the solar system,solar flares are generally powered by magnetic reconnection in the solar *** a result of the re-arrangement of magnetic field topology after the reconnection process,a series of new looplike magnetic structures are often formed and are known as flare loops.A hot diffuse region,consisting of around 5–10 MK plasma,is also observed above the loops and is called a supra-arcade ***,dark,tadpole-like structures are seen to descend through the bright supra-arcade *** remains unclear what role these so-called supra-arcade downflows(sADs)play in heating the flaring coronal *** we show a unique flare observation,where many sADs collide with the flare loops and strongly heat the loops to a temperature of 10–20 *** of these interactions generate clear signatures of quasi-periodic enhancement in the full-sun-integrated soft X-ray emission,providing an alternative interpretation for quasi-periodic pulsations that are commonly observed during solar and stellar flares.

Background:the reproducibility of positron emission tomography (PEt) radiomics features is affected by several factors, such as scanning equipment, drug metabolism time and reconstruction algorithm. We aimed to explore the role of 3D local binary pattern (LBP)-based texture in increasing the accuracy and reproducibility of PEt radiomics for predicting pelvic lymph node metastasis (PLNM) in patients with cervical ***:We retrospectively analysed data from 177 patients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma. they underwent 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18F-FDG)whole-body PEt/computed tomography (PEt/Ct), followed by pelvic 18F-FDG PEt/magnetic resonance imaging (PEt/MR). We selected reproducible and informative PEt radiomics features using Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator algorithm, and established 4 models, PEt/Ct, PEt/Ct-fusion, PEt/MR and PEt/MR-fusion, using the logistic regression algorithm. We performed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to evaluate the models in the training data set (65 patients who underwent radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection) and test data set (112 patients who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy or no treatment). the DeLong test was used for pairwise comparison of the ROC curves among the models. Results:the distribution of age, squamous cell carcinoma (sCC), International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics stage and PLNM between the training and test data sets were different ( P the LBP-transformed radiomics features (50/379) had higher reproducibility than the original radiomics features (9/107). As one of the main governing equations in kinetic theory,the Boltzmann equation is widely utilized in aerospace,microscopic flow,*** high-resolution simulation is crucial in these related ***,due to the high dimensionality of the Boltzmann equation,high-resolution simulations are often difficult to achieve *** moment method which was first proposed in Grad(Commun Pure Appl Math 2(4):331-407,1949)is among the popular numerical methods to achieve efficient high-resolution *** can derive the governing equations in the moment method by taking moments on both sides of the Boltzmann equation,which effectively reduces the dimensionality of the ***,one of themain challenges is that it leads to an unclosed moment system,and closure is needed to obtain a closedmoment *** is truly an art in designing closures for moment systems and has been a significant research field in kinetic *** than the traditional human designs of closures,the machine learning-based approach has attracted much attention lately in Han et al.(Proc Natl Acad sci UsA 116(44):21983-21991,2019)and Huang et al.(J Non-Equilib thermodyn 46(4):355-370,2021).In this work,we propose a machine learning-based method to derive a moment closure model for the Boltzmann-BGK *** particular,the closure relation is approximated by a carefully designed deep neural network that possesses desirable physical invariances,i.e.,the Galilean invariance,reflecting invariance,and scaling invariance,inherited from the original Boltzmann-BGK equation and playing an important role in the correct simulation of the Boltzmann *** simulations on the 1D-1D examples including the smooth and discontinuous initial condition problems,sod shock tube problem,the shock structure problems,and the 1D-3D examples including the smooth and discontinuous problems demonstrate satisfactory numerical performances of the proposed invariance preserving neural closure method

to the Editor： Elastosis perforans serpiginosa （EPs） is part of different kinds of perforating diseases that are dependent on factors such as idiopathic, reactive, or drug induced. We report here a case of a patient who presented with multiple reddish-brown keratinized papules coalescing to form serpiginous plaques in the anterior and posterior of the neck, which was found to be typical D-penicillamine-induced EPs.

Relationship of Cell Compositions in AIIografts with Outcomes after Haploidentical transplantation for Acquired severe Aplastic Anemia： Effects of CD34＋ and CD14＋ Cell Doses

Background： the dose of certain cell types in allografts affects engraftment kinetics and clinical outcomes after allogeneic stem cell transplantation （sCt）. Hence, the present study investigated the association of cell compositions in allografts with outcomes after unmanipulated haploidentical sCt （haplo-sCt） for patients with acquired severe aplastic anemia （sAA）. Methods： A total of 131 patients with sAA who underwent haplo-sCt were retrospectively enrolled. Cell subsets in allografts were determined using flow cytometry. to analyze the association of cellular compositions and outcomes, Mann-Whitney U nonparametric tests were conducted for patient age, sex, weight, human leukocyte antigen mismatched loci, ABO-matched status, patient ABO blood type, donor-recipient sex match, donor-recipient relationship, and each graft component. Multivariate analysis was performed using logistic regression to determine independent influence factors involving dichotomous variables selected from the univariate analysis. Results： A total of 126 patients （97.7%） achieved neutrophil engraftment, and 121 patients （95.7%） achieved platelet engraftment. At 100 days after transplantation, the cumulative incidence of II-IV acute graft-versus-host disease （GVHD） was 32.6%. After a median follow-up of 842 （range： 124-4110） days for surviving patients, the cumulative incidence of total chronic GVHD at 3 years after transplantation was 33.7%. the probability of overall survival at 3 years was 83.0%. Multivariate analysis showed that higher total doses of CD14＋（P = 0.018） and CD34＋ cells （P 〈 0.001） were associated with a successful platelet engraftment. A successthl platelet was associated with superior survival （P 〈 0.001）. No correlation of other cell components with outcomes was observed. Anatomy, classification of intersinus septal cell and its clinical significance in frontal sinus endoscopic surgery in Chinese subjects

Background Intersinus septal cell （IssC） is not a very uncommon frontal recess cell. But it is poorly described in literature. the clinical significance of this anatomic variant still remains unclear. the purpose of this study was to clarify the anatomy, classification of IssC and its clinical significance in Chinese subjects. Methods We prospectively identified IssC in 200 consecutive subjects who had undergone computed tomography （Ct） scans： 120 without frontal sinusitis （group 1 ） and 80 with frontal sinusitis （group 2）. the IssC was classified into two types： type ⅠIssC communicated with frontal sinuses, type Ⅱ IssC communicated with frontal recess. the patients of frontal sinusitis had undergone functional endoscopic sinus surgery with the assistance of the classification of IssC. statistical analysis was performed to correlate the IssC and its type to the presence of frontal sinusitis. Results the IssC was obvious when reviewing the coronal and axial Ct scans. Of the 200 Ct scans reviewed, IssC were present in 90 （45%）. Of the 120 scans in group 1, IssC were present in 49 （41%）, among which type ⅠIssC was in 22 （18%） and type Ⅱ was in 27 （23%）. Of the 80 scans in group 2, IssC was present in 41 （51%）, among which type Ⅰ IssC was in 16 （20%） and typeⅡwas in 25 （31%）. there were no statistically significant differences about the frequency distribution of total IssC, type Ⅰ and Ⅱ IssC between group 1 and group 2. Conclusions the prevalence of IssC was very high in Chinese patients. the classification of IssC was helpful for surgeon to operate according to whether it communicated with frontal sinus or frontal recess. the type Ⅱ IssC could be relatively easily removed from frontal recess.

the Development of Protein Microarrays and their Applications in DNA-Protein and Protein-Protein Interaction Analyses of Arabidopsis transcription Factors

We used our collection of Arabidopsis transcription factor （tF） ORFeome clones to construct protein microarrays containing as many as 802 tF proteins. these protein microarrays were used for both protein-DNA and proteinprotein interaction analyses. For protein-DNA interaction studies, we examined AP2/ERF family tFs and their cognate cis-elements. By careful comparison of the DNA-binding specificity of 13 tFs on the protein microarray with previous non-microarray data, we showed that protein microarrays provide an efficient and high throughput tool for genome-wide analysis of tF-DNA interactions. this microarray protein-DNA interaction analysis allowed us to derive a comprehensive view of DNA-binding profiles of AP2/ERF family proteins in Arabidopsis. It also revealed four tFs that bound the EE （evening element） and had the expected phased gene expression under clock-regulation, thus providing a basis for further functional analysis of their roles in clock regulation of gene expression. We also developed procedures for detecting protein interactions using this tF protein microarray and discovered four novel partners that interact with HY5, which can be validated by yeast two-hybrid assays. thus, plant tF protein microarrays offer an attractive high-throughput alternative to traditional techniques for tF functional characterization on a global scale.
