Line structures such as pipelines that cross active faults should be designed to retain leak-tightness if the design displacement (Ddesign) occurs. Principal approaches to the Ddesign and rupture kinematics assessment are described. They are based on relationships between earthquake magnitude, rupture length and displacement, and on the detailed field data on a specific fault that crosses the pipeline route. Since the future offset at the crossing may exceed the design value, the probability of a displacement occurrence where the safety of the structure can not be ensured should be estimated. Assessment method on such event probability is described and exemplified through active fault studies carried out at several pipeline projects in Russia.

In this paper,we discuss the properties of ionization waves(IWs)in a multi-pulsed plasma jet while using the two-dimensional computational *** IWs are generated by application of three short negative pulses with a repetition frequency 12.5 *** simulations are performed continuously during a single run while accounting for charges accumulated inside(surface charges)and outside(space charges)the *** plasma forming gas mixture(He/O2=99.8%/0.2%)is injected through the discharge tube into the surrounding humid *** show that an IW can emerge from the tube exit at a pulse rising edge(as a negative IW)and at a falling edge of the same pulse(as a positive IW).It is demonstrated that remnants of the negative and positive charges play an essential role in the discharge *** first pulse travels the shortest distance as it propagates through the initially non-ionized *** IWs developing during the second pulse essentially enlarge the plasma plume *** the same time,the IWs generated by the third pulse eventually decay due to the remnants of charges accumulated during the previous *** memory charges can lead to the IW extinction.

Compositional peculiarities of the siliceous high-Mg series(SHMS)rocks formed at the Archean-Paleoproterozoic boundary as a function of plume activity are discussed using example of Early Paleoproterozoic mafic volcanic rocks of the Vodlozero Domain,Fennoscandian *** rocks are characterized by wide variations in Mg#(33-67)and Cr contents(25-1123 ppm),LREE enrichment,and weakly negative_(εNd)(from-0.7 to-2.9).The high Gd/Yb ratio in the primitive high-Mg rocks of the Vodlozero Domain suggests their generation from a garnet-bearing *** the same time,their negative _(εNd)in combination with LREE enrichment points to the crustal contamination.A new model was proposed to explain the remarkable global-scale similarity of *** rocks can be generated by the contamination of a high-degree(30%)partial melt derived from a depleted *** lower crustal sanukitoid-type rocks can be considered as a universal crustal *** showed that such mixing can provide the observed narrow_(εNd)variations in Early Paleoproterozoic *** Neoarchean sanukitoid suites,which are widespread on all cratons,presumably composed the lower crust at the beginning of the ***,this mechanism can be considered universal for the genesis of the SHMS *** high-to low-Cr rock series can be produced by the fractionation of the mafic melt coupled with an insignificant crustal assimilation of felsic end members of the sanukitoid suite of the Vodlozero Domain en route to the surface,as suggested by the positive correlation of_(εNd)with Cr and Mg#,negative correlation with Th,and slight decrease of_(εNd)in the more evolved varieties.

The wave function temporal evolution on the one-dimensional （ID） lattice is considered in the tight-binding approxi- mation. The lattice consists of N equal sites and one impurity site （donor）. The donor differs from other lattice sites by the on-site electron energy E and the intersite coupling C. The moving wave packet is formed from the wave function initially localized on the donor. The exact solution for the wave packet velocity and the shape is derived at different values E and C. The velocity has the maximal possible group velocity v = 2. The wave packet width grows with time -t1/3 and its amplitude decreases ,- t-1/3. The wave packet reflects multiply from the lattice ends. Analytical expressions for the wave packet front propagation and recurrence are in good agreement with numeric simulations.

The kinetics and mechanism of natural wolframite interactions with sodium carbonate during air heating were studied.X-ray phase and X-ray microanalysis were used to establish that the initial monocrystalline wolframite consists of Fe0.5 Mn0.5 WO4 and Fe0.3 Mn0.7 *** thermal analysis showed that the interaction of wolframite with sodium carbonate begins above 450°C with the formation of tungstate,sodium ferrite,iron oxides,and *** experiments on sintering with the subsequent removal of water-soluble compounds(leaching)tracked the change in the structure of *** atomic ratio of Fe/Mn in wolframite does not change up to 600°C,and subsequently decreases to 0.2 during heating,which allows the mechanism of the process to be identified and indicates the greater reactivity of wolframites with an increased proportion of *** analysis with data processing using non-isothermal kinetics established that the interaction of wolframite with sodium carbonate in an air stream proceeds via a two-stage mechanism,wherein the first stage is limited by diffusion(activation energy,E=243 kJ/mol)and the second stage is limited by autocatalysis(activation energy,E=212 k J/mol)due to the formation of a Na2 WO4–Na2 CO3 eutectic.

Hydrogenated amorphous silicon nitride films（Si N x：H） are deposited at low temperature by high-frequency plasmaenhanced chemical vapor deposition（HF PECVD）. The main effort is to investigate the roles of plasma frequency and plasma power density in determining the film properties particularly in stress. Information about chemical bonds in the films is obtained by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR）. The stresses in the Si N x：H film are determined from substrate curvature measurements. It is shown that plasma frequency plays an important role in controlling the stresses in Si N x：H films. For silicon nitride layers grown at plasma frequency 40.68 MHz initial tensile stresses are observed to be in a range of 400 MPa-700 MPa. Measurements of the intrinsic stresses of silicon nitride films show that the stress quantity is sufficient for film applications in strained silicon photonics.

Thermo-and pH-sensitive Polymer with Pendant Spacer-linked Imidazole Cycles

By the reaction of poly(acryloyl chloride) with N-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole, poly(N-(3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl)acrylamide) was synthesized. The new polymer contains an imidazole ring removed from the main chain by a spacer of five bonds. The structure and purity, molecular weight, hydrodynamic and thermosensitive properties of the obtained sample were studied by1H-and13C-NMR, FTIR spectroscopy, acid-base titration, light scattering, turbidimetry and viscometry. The observed ability of the imidazole-containing polymer to form and destroy associates in water-salt solutions at pH 6.6-7.4 and temperatures of 29-48℃ indicates that these are promising candidates for designing complex biomedical systems. The new polymer is able to form complexes with oligo-DNA more actively than poly(1-vinylimidazole), which is of interest for gene delivery applications. The polymer cross-linked with epichlorohydrin gives micro-relief coatings on the plastic surface, and the modified surface is able to attach negatively charged objects. This thermo-and pH-sensitive polymer modification can be applied to create finely controlled surfaces for cell culturing.

Recharging of quantum confinement levels in SiGe quantum wells (QW) was studied by charge deep-level transient spectroscopy (Q-DLTS) for Si/SiGe/Si structures with different Ge contents in the SiGe layer. A peak with activation energy varying in the range from 0 to 100 meV in different tempera-ture intervals was observed in Q-DLTS spectra. Activation energies extracted from Q-DLTS measure-mens are in good agreement with energies of quantum confinement levels in the QW.
