Ancylostoma ceylanicum and other zoonotic canine hookworms:neglected public and animal health risks in the Asia-pacific region

The frequency and intensity of extreme high temperature（EHT） in the northern hemisphere exhibit remarkable low-frequency（LF） variations in summer over the time period 1951-2017. Seven hotspots featuring both a high occurrence of EHT and large LF variations in EHT were identified in the northern hemisphere. The probability density functions show that the higher probabilities of the occurrence of EHT over these hotspots in recent decades are consistent with the shift in the mean temperature and an increased variance in the daily mean temperature. The common features of the LF variation in EHT frequency over all domains are a remarkable increasing trend and an evident decadal variations（DV）. The DV component makes the main contribution to the large LF variations. Further analysis shows that the DV over the six hotspots are the footprints of two dominant natural internal signals: the Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation（AMO） and the Inter-decadal pacific Oscillation（IPO）. The coherent variation in temperature over western North America-Mexico, eastern Siberia, Europe, the Mongolian Plateau and southeastern China is significantly influenced by the AMO. The AMO contributes to the variations in temperature over the first four hotspots via its associated barotropic circum-global teleconnection, which imposes a striking anomalous pressure over these regions. The IPO governs the DV in temperature over the Indo-China Peninsula through an anomalous Walker circulation driven by the IPO-associated sea surface temperatures in the tropical Indian Ocean. The inconsistency between the in situ observations and the reanalysis datasets causes the uncertainty in the physical linkage between the natural internal variability and variations in EHT over southeastern China and the Indo-China Peninsula. This implies that natural internal forcing plays an important role in making hotspots more vulnerable to EHT.

While El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)modulates landscape fire activities across the pacific Rim,the detailed patterns and mode-specific variations of these effects remain poorly *** study aims to address that gap by systematically assessing the spatiotemporal variations in burned areas from 2001 to 2020 during different modes of ENSO,namely,Eastern pacific(EP)El Niño,EP La Niña,Central pacific(CP)El Niño and CP La Niñ*** evaluate the modulation patterns using classical correlation and cross-spectrum analyses,focusing on five hotspot regions:Temperate North America(TENA),Southern Hemisphere South America(SHSA),Northern Hemisphere South America(NHSA),Equatorial Asia(EQAS)and Australia and New Zealand(AUST).El Niño and La Niña exhibit asymmetrical opposite effects on burned areas,as *** findings reveal spatial non-uniformity in the impact of ENSO on landscape fires,with La Niña enhancing burned areas in TENA and SHSA,whereas El Niño predominantly affects AUST,EQAS and *** and EP ENSO events differ in intensity and their large-scale circulation *** differences cause notable variations in the regional burned *** vapour redistribution emerges as the key *** study emphasises the heterogeneity in ENSO modes in regulating landscape fires,providing insights for future landscape fire risk assessment and prevention efforts under climate change.

Background:Hodgkin lymphoma refers to a malignancy of the lymphatic ***-nodal Hodgkin lymphoma(ENHL)is a rare variant consisting of Hodgkin lymphoma occurring outside the lymphatic *** investigating the epidemiology associated with ENHL are ***:618 ENHL cases were analyzed using the National Cancer institute’s Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)database(2000–2020).Demographics including sex,race/ethnicity,rural-urban continuum,age group(categorized as adolescent and young adult(AYA)if between years of 15 and 39,and adult if over the age of 40),and living status(alive/deceased)were examined,with survival status as the main ***:This study included 335 males(54.2%)and 283 females(45.8%).Of this total,47.9%were in the AYA *** terms of ethnicity the distribution was 12.5%non-Hispanic Black,67.5%non-Hispanic White,5.2%non-Hispanic Asian/pacific Islander,and 14.9%*** analyses evidenced significant differences in survival by age group with 91.6%in AYA vs.72.4%in adults(P<0.001)alive by the end of the study *** analyses identified age as a key predictor of survival,as the AYA patients had a lower odds ratio for death(odds ratio=0.25,P<0.001).In addition,survival outcomes were also impacted by race,with non-Hispanic Blacks showing higher survival *** treatment,27.0%of patients underwent surgery,with 10.2%receiving post-surgery radiation,reducing odds of mortality(odds ratio=0.32,P=0.046).Conclusion:The background research as such,tends to affirm that these two factors–age and race are quite crucial in the prognosis as well as management of *** to adults,AYA patients had significantly lower odds of death,while non-Hispanic Black individuals exhibited reduced survival *** should be noted that 27.0%of patients underwent surgery with 10.2%receiving post-operative radiation which led to decrease in mortality ***,these results reiterate the nec

对赤道东北太平洋海域表层沉积物间隙水中硅酸盐、磷酸盐和硝酸盐等营养盐的剖面分布三个航次的研究表明,研究区在采样深度内沉积物中有机质的分解以硝化作用为主。在水-沉积物界面附近硅酸盐、磷酸盐和硝酸盐都存在着极陡的浓度梯度,Fick扩散定理的计算结果表明,研究区内硅酸盐、磷酸盐和硝酸盐的海底扩散通量分别为-886.45～42.62μmol/(m2·d)、-3.04～5.83μmol/(m2·d)和-189.43～21.05μmol/(m2·d),且硅酸盐和硝酸盐主要是从沉积物向底层水体扩散,是底层水体营养盐的来源之一;研究区内硅酸盐、磷酸盐和硝酸盐的海底扩散通量存在着一定的时间和空间变化,这可能与因全球气候变化而导致的沉积环境的改变有关。
