The evolutionary algorithm, a subset of computational intelligence techniques, is a generic population-based stochastic optimization algorithm which uses a mechanism motivated by biological concepts. Bio-inspired computing can implement successful optimization methods and adaptation approaches, which are inspired by the natural evolution and collective behavior observed in species, respectively. Although all the meta-heuristic algorithms have different inspirational sources, their objective is to find the optimum(minimum or maximum), which is problem-specific. We propose and evaluate a novel synergistic fibroblast optimization(SFO) algorithm, which exhibits the behavior of a fibroblast cellular organism in the dermal wound-healing process. Various characteristics of benchmark suites are applied to validate the robustness, reliability, generalization, and comprehensibility of SFO in diverse and complex situations. The encouraging results suggest that the collaborative and self-adaptive behaviors of fibroblasts have intellectually found the optimum solution with several different features that can improve the effectiveness of optimization strategies for solving non-linear complicated problems.

Influence of Annealing on Physical Properties of CdO Thin Films Prepared by SILAR Method

Cadmium oxide （CdO） thin films were prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction （SILAR） method and annealed at 250-450 ℃ for 2 h. The prepared films were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, optical spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and Hall effect measurement. The XRD analysis reveals that the films were polycrystalline with cubic structure. Both crystallinity and the grain size were found to increase with increasing annealing temperature. SEM analysis shows the porous nature of the surface with spherical nanoclusters. Energy dispersive spectroscopic analysis （EDS） confirmed the presence of Cd and O elements without any additional impurities. The films exhibited maximum transmittance （82%-86%） in infra-red （IR） region. Transmittance was found to decrease with increasing annealing temperature （Eg） was in the range of 2.24-2.44 eV. Hall effect measurement shows an and the estimated band gap energy ncrease in carrier concentration and a decrease in resistivity with increasing annealing temperature. The carrier concentration （N） and resistivity （p） of about 1.26 × 1022 cm-3 and 8.71 × 10 3 Ω cm are achieved for the film annealed at 450 ℃ for 2 h.

Two water soluble acryl terpolymers containing polyvinyl alcohol, acrylamide/acrylic acid and vinyl sulphonic acid （VSA） were synthesized by free radical polymerization in aqueous medium. The morphological structure of the polymers were analysed using FTIR and 1H NMR, while the thermal properties were analysed by TGA and DSC. The inhibitive action of the terpolymers on corrosion of mid-steel in 1 mol. L- 1 HCI was studied using gravimetric, potentiodynamic polarisation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） at 303 K. Both the polymers provided inhibition efficiency around 90% which clearly demonstrate that the grafted poly- mers have effective corrosion inhibiting ability on MS corrosion.

Nutritional Analysis of Fast Food in Streets of Patna Town, Bihar

Mushroom growth of street fast food is a boon for changing lifestyle of urban people. However, its nutritional aspect is also a matter of concern. The objective of the present study was hence to assess the nutrient components of fast food sold in streets of Patna town. A total of 30 fast food samples from streets were collected from different locations of Patna town in aseptic containers and immediately transferred to the laboratory for proximate analysis. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the collected data. In terms of nutrient contribution, the highest energy content was found in Hot potato chips （536 ~ 85.2 kcal /I00 g） followed by Chicken chawmin （527 ~ 253.08 kcal/plat）, Chilli chicken （464 ~ 91.8 kcal/plat） and Pav bhaji （425 -4- 164 kcal/plat）. Highest level of protein was detected in Chilli chicken at 27.3 ~ 5.01 g per serving. Protein of Chilli chicken supplied approximately 29% of the total energy content per serving. Maximum amount of fat was also found in Chilli ckicken （35.5 ~ 31.89 g/plat）. Total fat contribution of Chilli ckicken to the total energy per serving found to be approximately 67%. Highest level of carbohydrate was detected in Idli at 15.0 ~ 9.18 g per serving of sample which contributed approximately 91% of the total energy content per serving. From this study it was concluded that street fast foods provide an appreciable amount of recommended nutrient composition. It could be observed in this study that street fast foods supply appreciable amount of nutrients and calories to the people of Patna.

Aluminum antimony seems to be a promising semiconducting material for high temperature applications, especially for transistors and P-N junction diodes. Additionally, it is a highly efficient solar material. This paper discusses the plasma induced bilayer diffusion of A1Sb bilayer thin films using X-ray diffractogram. A1Sb bilayer thin films were prepared on a glass substrate by vacuum evaporation technique. The effect of plasma exposure time and annealing temperature on the micro-structural parameters were investigated. X-ray diffraction studies show that the cubic crystals of A1 orient along the （111） plane and the hexagonal crystals of Sb orient along the （003） plane. Newly formed cubic crystals of A1Sb are oriented along the （200） plane and they are formed due to the simultaneous growth of A1 and Sb crystals during plasma exposure.

The Morinda tinctoria (MT) plant leaves extract was prepared in aqueous and hydrochloric acid media and was used as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in hydrochloric acid medium. MT is found to be an efficient inhibitor at room temperature and the efficiency decreases with increase in temperature. Results from colorimetric studies predict the amount of iron present in the test solution and the percentage inhibition efficiency values calculated from this data fit well with the weight loss experiments. The AC impedance studies reveal that the mild steel surface is positively charged and the process of inhibition is through charge transfer. Polarisation studies indicate the mixed nature of the inhibitor. Thermodynamic parameters obtained predict that the process of inhibition is a spontaneous one.

This study describes the different parameters used to derive the allometric equation for calculating the biomass of an invasive woody shrub Lantana camara *** the subtropical conditions of western *** identifies the most accurate and convenient method for biomass calculation by comparing destructive with nondestructive *** parameters were measured on a wide range of Lantana from different community levels for the non-destructive calculation of total aboveground *** explanatory variables were identified and measured such as basal diameter either as a single independent variable or in combination with plant *** other suitable combinations of available independent variables include crown length,crown width,crown area,crown volume and coverage of the *** the wide range of allometric equations used with different variables,the equation with D2 H as a variable was found to be the most suitable estimator of biomass calculation for ***,being the most disturbed area due to its high tourist activity round the year,showed maximum coverage（58.57 % ha-1）,highest biomass（13,559.60 kg ha-1） and carbon density（6,373.01 kg ha-1）of *** degree of Lantana’s invasiveness in subtropical conditions was also calculated on the basis of importance value index（IVI）.The maximum IVI（22.77）and mean coverage（26.8 % ha-1） was obtained from the areas near Jolly Grant airport,indicating that physically disturbed areas are more suitable for the growth of Lantana,which may significantly increase shrub *** importance of incorporating allometric equations in calculation of shrub biomass,and its role in atmospheric carbon assimilation has thus been highlighted through the findings of this study.

Single crystals of L-alanine cadmium iodide(LACI)were grown by the slow evaporation technique at room temperature.A single-crystal X-ray diffraction(SXRD)model was used to evaluate the crystal structure of the as-grown LACI *** energy dispersive X-ray(EDX)analysis and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared(UV-vis-NIR)transmittance studies were carried out,and the results reveal the presence of elements in the title *** the transmittance data,the optical bandgap as a function of photon energy was estimated,and the different optical constants were calculated.A fluorescence study was performed for the LACI *** and differential thermal analyses have also been studied to investigate the thermal property of the LACI *** efficiency of the second harmonic generation(SHG)of the title crystal was *** magnetic and electrical properties were estimated by the vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)analysis and impedance study,respectively.

This paper presents propagation of two cross-focused intense hollow Gaussian laser beams(HGBs) in collisionless plasma and its effect on the generation of electron plasma wave(EPW) and electron acceleration process,when relativistic and ponderomotive nonlinearities are simultaneously operative. Nonlinear differential equations have been set up for beamwidth of laser beams, power of generated EPW, and energy gain by electrons using WKB and paraxial approximations. Numerical simulations have been carried out to investigate the effect of typical laser-plasma parameters on the focusing of laser beams in plasmas and further its effect on power of excited EPW and acceleration of electrons. It is observed that focusing of two laser beams in plasma increases for higher order of hollow Gaussian beams,which significantly enhanced the power of generated EPW and energy gain. The amplitude of EPW and energy gain by electrons is found to enhance with an increase in the intensity of laser beams and plasma density. This study will be useful to plasma beat wave accelerator and in other applications requiring multiple laser beams.
