Anomalous magnetic property and broadband photodetection in ultrathin non-layered manganese selenide semiconductor

Two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors with intrinsic ferromagnetism are highly desirable for potential applications in nextgeneration spintronic and optoelectronic ***,controllable synthesis of intrinsic 2D magnetic semiconductor on a substrate is still a challenging ***,large-area 2D non-layered rock salt(α-phase)MnSe nanosheets were grown on mica substrates,with the thickness changing from 54.2 to 0.9 nm(one unit cell),by chemical vapour *** X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements confirmed that the resulting 2Dα-MnSe nanosheets were obtained as high-quality single *** magnetic hysteresis loops and synchrotron X-ray measurements directly indicated the anomalous magnetic properties inα-MnSe *** analysis of the reasons for magnetic property revealed that the low-temperature phase transition,small number of stacking differences in crystals,and surface weak oxidation in(111)-orientedα-MnSe were the main ***,α-MnSe nanosheets exhibited broadband photoresponse from 457 to 671 nm with an outstanding detectivity and responsivity *** study presents the detailed growth process of ultrathin 2D magnetic semiconductorα-MnSe,and its outstanding magnetic properties and broadband photodetection,which provide an excellent platform for magneto-optical and magneto-optoelectronic research.

Coupling Coordination Analysis of Cropland Intensification and Agroecosystem Services:Evidence from Loess plateau in Shaanxi province,China

Characteristics and influencing factors of greenhouse gas emissions from reservoirs in the Yellow River Basin:A Meta-analysis

Reservoir construction and operation profoundly alter the hydrological,hydrodynamic,and carbon and nitrogen cycling processes of ***,current research still lacks a systematic understanding of the characteristics of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions from reservoirs in arid/semi-arid *** study integrates existing monitoring data to discuss the characteristics of GHG emissions from reservoirs in the Yellow River Basin and illustrate the controlling factors and underlying mechanism of these *** results indicate that while CO_(2) emission flux from reservoirs is lower than that from river channels,the emission fluxes of CH_(4) and N_(2)O are 1.9 times and 10 times those from rivers,respectively,indicating that the emission of GHG with stronger radiative effect is significantly enhanced in *** to the reservoirs in humid climates(e.g.,the Three Gorges Reservoir),reservoirs in the Yellow River Basin exhibit relatively lower emissions of CO_(2) and CH_4 due to lower organic matter concentrations,but significantly higher N_(2)O emissions due to higher nitrogen *** Carlo simulations for 237 reservoirs in the Yellow River Basin showed that total emission of the three GHGs is 3.05 Tg CO_(2)-eq yr^(-1),accounting for 0.39% of the total emission from global reservoirs and lower than the area percentage of the basin(0.53%).This study has important implications on revealing the GHG emission characteristics and control mechanisms of reservoirs in arid/semi-arid regions.

Coupling interface constructions of hollow Co-Mo mixed multiple oxidation states heterostructure for high-performance aprotic Li-O_(2) battery

Constructing interfaces in heterostructures is effective for modulating the electronic properties of *** hollow CoMoO_(4)-Co_(3)O_(4) heterostructure(HCMCH)was prepared as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for Li-O_(2) *** different components in CoMoO_(4)-Co_(3)O_(4) heterostructure presented the efficient coupling and enhanced the electrocatalytic activity for aprotic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),in which it improved the obviously reduced overpotential of 300 mV(compared with the pure ketjen black(kB)electrode),enhanced reversibility of 80%capacity retention after 6 full cycles and the superior cyclability of more than 200 cycles with an optimized *** battery performance of the HCMCH was not only associated with the unique hollow structure and rich active sites but also with coupling interface constructions synergetic effects attaching to the improving conductivity and optimized the discharge *** results suggested that this HCMCH electrocatalyst was a promising candidate for the Li-O_(2) battery and it gave a novel insight for high performance electrocatalyst designing.

Response mechanism of soil microorganisms to simulated precipitation in the source wetland of Qinghai Lake

Background Changes in precipitation patterns crucially impact soil microbial communities, and the ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet plateau(QTp) is highly vulnerable to climate change. However, we do not fully understand how soil microbial communities in the source wetlands of QTp respond to changes in precipitation. In this study, we employed advanced techniques such as high-throughput sequencing and metabolomics to investigate how soil microbial communities in a source wetland of Qinghai Lake respond to changes in precipitation after quadrennial precipitation *** Our findings showed that the predominant microbiota in the source wetland was proteobacteria. Interestingly, alterations in precipitation levels, whether increased or reduced, did not significantly impact the diversity or functional groups of the microbial community. However, the structure of the microbial community did respond notably to changes in precipitation, leading to shifts in the relative abundance of Spirochaetes and Treponema. A notable finding was that reduced precipitation levels(– 25% and-50%) and mild increases in precipitation(25%) within the region contributed to increased soil carbon content. However, this effect ceased to manifest when precipitation increased by 50%. Additionally, the reduction in precipitation prompted the release of soil metabolites like syringic acid and aldosterone, while enhanced precipitation resulted in a decrease in aldosterone *** precipitation changes altered the relative abundance of soil microbial communities and metabolites, which was conducive to increasing carbon storage in this alpine wetland.

Influence of High-pressure Induced Lattice Dislocations and Distortions on Thermoelectric performance of pristine SnTe

As a sister compound of pbTe, SnTe possesses the environmentally friendly elements. However, the pristine SnTe compounds suffer from the high carrier concentration, the large valence band offset between the L and Σpositions and high thermal conductivity. Using high-pressure and high-temperature technology, we synthesized the pristine SnTe samples at different pressures and systemically investigated their thermoelectric *** pressure induces rich microstructures, including the high-density dislocations and lattice distortions, which serve as the strong phonon scattering centers, thereby reducing the lattice thermal conductivity. For the electrical properties, pressure reduces the harmful high carrier concentration, due to the depression of Sn ***, pressure induces the valence band convergence, reducing the energy separation between the L and Σpositions. The band convergence and suppressed carrier concentration increase the Seebeck coefficient. Thus, the power factors of pressure-sintered compounds do not deteriorate significantly under the condition of decreasing electrical conductivity. Ultimately, for a pristine SnTe compound synthesized at 5 Gpa, a higher ZT value of 0.51 is achieved at 750 k, representing a 140% improvement compared to the value of 0.21 obtained using SpS. Therefore, the high-pressure and high-temperature technology is demonstrated as an effectively approach to optimize thermoelectric performance.

Flower-like CuS/γ-Fe_(2)O_(3) van der Waals heterostructures with highefficient electromagnetic wave absorption

The escalating electromagnetic(EM)pollution issues and the demand to elevate military stealth technology make it imperative to develop cost-effective and high-performance electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing *** this paper,the flower-like CuS/γ-Fe_(2)O_(3) van der Waals(vdW)heterostructures have been synthesized via a facile two-step solvothermal *** flower-like CuS skeleton increases the attenuation path of EMW while reducing the material *** contents ofγ-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles anchor between the flower-like CuS nanosheets to constitute a heterogeneous structure,which enables dielectric and magnetic loss synergistically to optimize impedance matching and remarkably improve the EMW absorption *** minimum reflection loss(RLmin)is-49.36 dB with a thickness of only 1.6 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)reaches 4.64 GHz(13.36–18 GHz).By adjusting the thickness of the absorber,the EAB can cover 96%of the GHz ***,the superior absorption of-61.53 dB at middle frequency band can be obtained by adjusting the amount of Fe_(2)O_(3) *** this study,the adjustment of EM parameters and the optimization of impedance matching have been achieved by constructing a novel vdW heterogeneous structure,which provides fresh ideas and references for the design of high-performance EMW absorbing materials.

Highly efficient nitrogen fixation over S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts with enhanced active hydrogen supply

Atmospheric chemistry of 2-nitrobenzaldehyde:Initiated by photo-excitation,OH-oxidation,and small TiO_(2) clusters adsorption catalysis

The fate of 2-nitrobenzaldehyde(2-NBA)is of interest in atmospheric chemistry as it is a semi-volatile organic compound with high *** study presents a quantum chemical study of the gas-phase reactions of 2-NBA photo-excitation and OH-oxidation in the absence and presence of small TiO_(2) *** further understand the unknown photolysis mechanism,the photo-reaction pathways of ground singlet state and the lying excited triplet state of 2-NBA were investigated including the initial and subsequent reactions of proton transfer,direct CO,NO_(2),and HCO elimination routes in the presence of O_(2) and ***,the OH-mediated degradation of 2-NBA proceeded via five H-extraction and six OH-addition channels by indirect mechanism,which follows a succession of reaction steps initiated by the formation of weakly stable intermediate *** H-extraction from the-CHO group was the dominant pathway with a negative activation energy of-1.22 kcal/*** calculated rate coefficients at 200–600 k were close to the experimental data in literature within 308-352 k,and the kinetic negative temperature independence was found in both experimental literature and computational ***,2-NBA was favored to be captured onto small TiO_(2) clusters via six adsorption configurations formed via various combination of three types of bonds of Ti…O,Ti…C,and O…H between the molecularly adsorbed 2-NBA and TiO_(2) *** indicted that the chemisorptions of aldehyde oxygen have largest *** results suggested adsorption conformations have a respectable impact on the catalysis *** study is significant for understanding the atmospheric chemistry of 2-nitrobenzaldehyde.
