Advancements in sensor technology have significantly enhanced atmospheric ***,metal oxide and carbon(MO_(x)/C)hybrids have gained attention for their exceptional sensitivity and room-temperature sensing ***,previous methods of synthesizing MO_(x)/C composites suffer from problems,including inhomogeneity,aggregation,and challenges in ***,we introduce a refined method that employs a metal–organic framework(MOF)as a precursor combined with direct laser *** inherent structure of MOFs ensures a uniform distribution of metal ions and organic linkers,yielding homogeneous MO_(x)/C *** laser processing facilitates precise micropatterning(parable to typical photolithography)of the MO_(x)/C *** optimized MOF-derived MO_(x)/C sensor rapidly detected ethanol gas even at room temperature(105 and 18 s for response and recovery,respectively),with a broad range of sensing performance from 170 to 3,400 ppm and a high response value of up to 3,500%.Additionally,this sensor exhibited enhanced stability and thermal resilience compared to previous MOF-based *** research opens up promising avenues for practical applications in MOF-derived sensing devices.

Air quality is deteriorating due to continuing urbanization and *** particular,nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))is a biologically and environmentally hazardous byproduct from fuel combustion that is ubiquitous in urban *** address this issue,we report a high-performance flexible indium phosphide nanomembrane NO_(2)sensor for real-time air quality *** ultralow limit of detection of~200 ppt and a fast response have been achieved with this device by optimizing the film thickness and doping concentration during indium phosphide *** varying the film thickness,a dynamic range of values for NO_(2)detection from parts per trillion(ppt)to parts per million(ppm)level have also been demonstrated under low bias voltage and at room temperature without additional light *** measurements show an adequately stable response after repeated ***-site testing of the sensor in a residential kitchen shows that NO_(2)concentration from the gas stove emission could exceed the NO_(2)Time Weighted Average limit,i.e.,200 ppb,highlighting the significance of real-time ***,the indium phosphide nanomembrane sensor element cost is estimated atperior performance characteristics,low cost,and real-world applicability,our indium phosphide nanomembrane sensors offer a promising solution for a variety of air quality monitoring applications.

Integrating titanium-based implants with the surrounding bone tissue remains challenging. This study aims to explore the impact of different anodization voltages （20-80V） on the surface top.g.aphy of two-phase （α/β） Ti alloys and to produce TiO2films with enhanced bone formation abilities. Scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy （SEM-EDS） and atomic force microscopy （AFM） were applied to investigate the morphological， chemical， and surface top.g.aphy of the prepared alloys and to confirm the growth of hydroxyapatite （HA） on their surfaces. Results disclosed that the surface roughness of TiO2films formed on Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys was superior to that of Ti–6Al–4V alloys. Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy anodized at 80 V had the highest yields of HA after immersion in SBF with enhanced HA surface coverage. The developed HA layer had a mean thickness of 128.38 ± 18.13 μm， suggesting its potential use as an orthopedic implantable material due to its promising bone integration and， hence， remarkable stability inside the human body.

Background The impact of changing land-use patterns and associated anthrop.g.nic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of semi-aquatic mustelids in scent-marking and social behaviour can provide important insights into the habitat ecology of smooth-coated otters(Lutrogale perspicillata).Methods We sampled 180 stream segments(100–400 m) as spatial replicates of 60 1-km2 sites to record indirect evidence(i.e. spraints and mass latrine sites) and group sizes of smooth-coated otters along the Tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(TOCR) during the dry season. To quantify habitat, we recorded stream characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthrop.g.nic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environmental characteristics and land uses at the landscape scale. Using Markovian-chain detection and occupancy models, we assessed the multi-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-marking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along the TOCR. We further used linear regression techniques to explore relationships between the number of individuals in smooth-coated otter group and hydro-environmental characteristics, spraint/latrine encounter rate, anthrop.g.nic pressure, land cover, top.g.aphy, and *** At the local scale, the probability of spraint deposition and group size decreased with anthrop.g.nic disturbance while the probability of spraint detections decreased with grass cover. At the landscape scale, the probability of otter site use for spraint deposition and group sizes increased in southeast flowing streams. Microbially induced carbonate precipitation(MICp)is a promising technique for the autonomous healing of concrete *** this study,the effect of pH on MICp was *** results indicate that the MICp process was inhibited when the pH was higher than *** vaterite and calcite were produced when the pH wasproduced when the pH was>*** concrete aggregates(RCA)coated with sodium silicate have been proposed as protective carriers for microbial healing *** the presence of the coated RCA resulted in a loss of the splitting tension strength of the concrete,the loaded healing agents were highly efficient in self-healing *** incorporated with 20%RCA loaded with healing agents exhibited the best self-healing *** the initial crack widths were between 0.3 and 0.4 mm,the 7-d mean healing rate was approximately 90%.At 28 d,the crack area filling ratio was 86.4%,while its water tightness recovery ratio was 74.4%and 29.8%,respectively,for rapid and slow *** study suggests that RCA coated with sodium silicate is an effective method for packaging microbial healing agents and has great potential for developing cost-effective self-healing concrete.

The conversion of biomass into sugar platform compounds is very important for the biorefinery industry. pretreatment is essential to the biomass of the sugar platform, however, the lignin obtained by pretreatment, as a key part of lignocellulose, generally has a passive effect on the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose into sugars. In this study, p-TsOH(p-toluenesulfonic acid), DES(Deep eutectic solvent) and CAOSA(cooking with active oxygen and solid alkali) pretreatment ways were used to fraction lignin from bamboo biomass. After CAOSA treatment, the hydrolysis efficiency of the pulp was 95.57%. Moreover, the effect of different treatment methods on lignin properties was studied and the promotion effect of lignin was investigated by adding it to the cellulose enzymatic hydrolysis system. In this work, the results showed that CAOSA-extracted lignin with lower ?(1.31–1.25) had a better adsorption effect on the enzyme protein. p-TsOH-extracted lignin with a larger S/g ratio enhanced the inhibition of enzymatic hydrolysis. In addition, the presence of-COOHs in lignin could reduce its inhibitory effect on cellulose saccharification.
