Malvidin-3-galactoside(Mv-3-gal)is the major anthocyanin monomer in blueberry *** compound is well-characterized by its anti-oncogenesis function in multiple organs including *** the current study,the mechanism driving the anti-hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)function of Mv-3-gal was further explored by focusing on apoptosis and metastases *** cell line Huh-7 was firstly administrated with Mv-3-gal of different concentrations and the effect of Mv-3-gal on cell proliferation,apoptosis,colony formation ability,metastasis potential as well as the activity of Akt/PTEN and MAPK pathways was *** results showed that Mv-3-gal inhibited the cell proliferation and colony formation ability,induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in a dose-dependent *** the metastasis potential,Mv-3-gal suppressed the migration and invasion potential of Huh-7 cells by regulating MMPs *** together,the findings highlighted the anti-HCC potent of Mv-3-gal,which was associated with the inhibition of Akt/PTEN,MAPK and MMP pathways.

BACKGROUND Intradural anesthesia caused by anesthetic drug leakage during percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)has rarely been *** here report a 71-year-old woman who suffered this rare and life-threatening complication during *** SUMMARY A 71-year-old woman,who suffered from 2 wk of severe back pain with a visual analog score of 8,came to our outpatient *** was later diagnosed with a newly compressed L1 fracture and was then admitted in our *** was initially attempted again under local ***,serendipitous intradural anesthesia leading to total spinal anesthesia ***,after successful resuscitation of the patient,PVP was safely and smoothly *** pain relief was achieved postoperatively,and she was safely discharged on postoperative day *** patient recovered normally at 3-mo *** Total spinal anesthesia secondary to PVP by anesthetic drug leakage rarely *** cases of inadvertent wrong puncture leading to drug leakage when performing it under local anesthesia,surgeons should be highly vigilant during the whole *** monitoring,oxygen inhalation,intravenous cannula set prior to surgery,regular checking of motor activity and a meticulous imaging monitoring with slower pushing of anesthetic drugs,*** be highly recommended.

Molecular harmonic spectra of H+2driven by the linearly polarized laser pulses with different polarized angles have been theoretically investigated through solving the two-dimensional time-dependent Schr¨odinger equation.(i) Below-threshold harmonic spectra show a visible enhanced peak around the 7th harmonic(H7), which produces a red-shift phenomenon as the internuclear distance increased. Theoretical analyses show the red-shift enhanced peak is caused by the laser-induced electron transfer between the ground state and the 1st excited state of H+2.(ii) Due to the two-centre interference phenomenon, the above-threshold harmonic spectra exhibit many maxima and minima.(iii)With the introduction of the polarized angle, the anomalous elliptically polarized harmonics can be found. But, with the introduction of the spatial inhomogeneous effect, not only the ellipticities of the harmonics are equal to a stable value of ε～ 0.1–0.3, but also the harmonic cutoffs are extended. As a result, four super-bandwidths of 407 e V, 310 e V,389 e V, and 581 e V can be obtained. Time profiles of the harmonic generations have been shown to explain the harmonic characteristics. Finally, a series of elliptically polarized(ε～ 0.1–0.3) attosecond X-ray pulses with durations from 18 as to 25 as can be directly produced through Fourier transformation of the spectral continuum.

Objective The aim of the study was to analyze hospital costs for cancer inpatients availing different methods of payment and the influencing factors, to provide inputs to improve the medical insurance payment policy. Methods We analyzed the information related to length of hospital stay, hospitalization cost, and self-pay cost, collected from one large-scale, Grade A, Class Three hospital in Shenyang, China, during 2004–*** The number of cancer inpatients with different payment types(medical insurance group and non-medical insurance group) presented a rising trend. Further, the ratio of medical insurance inpatients increased rapidly(from 22.2% to 48.7%); however, this group was still a minority. The length of hospital stay became shorter(21 d vs. 17 d; P = 0.000) while the gap got narrower; the hospitalized expense showed an upward trend and the difference was remarkable($24048.6 ± $4376.28 vs. $20544.36 ± $4057.01; P = 0.000). Conclusion Along with normalization of cancer therapy, the influence of payment on treatment has been getting weak, the policy has impact on controlling hospitalization cost, lightening burden of cancer patient, as well as allocating medical resources in a reasonable way, becoming an important defray pattern of hospitalization cost.

We consider a simple scalar dark matter model within the frame of gauged L_(μ)→T_(τ) symmetry.A new gauge boson Z',as well as two scalar fields S and Φ,are introduced to the Standard Model(SM),where S and Φ are SM singlets but both carry U(1)_(L_(μ)-L_(τ)) *** real component and imaginary component of S can acquire different masses after spontaneously breaking symmetry,and the lighter one can play the role of dark matter,which is stabilized by an extra Z_(2) *** consider the possibility of light dark matter as well as the co-annihilation case in our model and present the current(g-2)_(μ) anomaly,Higgs invisible decay,dark matter relic density,and direct detection constraints on the parameter *** detection gives the most stringent restriction on the model,and we found that although most of the parameter space is excluded,a mass region of a few GeV is still allowed where the co-annihilation process is also permitted in the model.

AIM: To identify the most-cited articles in ophthalmic epidemiology over the last ***: We performed a cited reference search on articles that were included in the ISI Web of Science database using the terms "Epidemi*" AND "ophthalm*" AND "population*" during year 2006 to 2016. TOP 100 most cited articles(T100) in ophthalmic epidemiology were short listed and analysed using ***: These top 100 articles in ophthalmic epidemiology were cited between 61 to 333 times. Of these T100 articles, 36% originated from United States, and 34% were published in the Ophthalmology journal. The three major topics identified were age-related macular degeneration(AMD, n=23), glaucoma(n=16) and visual impairment(n=12). The top-cited article was a study on outdoor activities and its association with the prevalence of myopia in school-aged children, published in 2008. CONCLUSION: This bibliometric analysis provides useful insights into the current development in ophthalmicepidemiology in the past decade and can help recognizing the quality of the researches, discoveries, and trends steering ophthalmic epidemiology.

Distribution of localized damage in shear band can’ t be predicted theoretically based on classical elastoplastic theory. The average damage variable in shear band was considered to be a non-local variable. Based on non-local theory, an analytical expression for the localized damage in strain-softening region of shear band in the process of shear band propagation was presented using boundary condition and symmetry of local damage variable, etc. The results show that dynamic shear softening modulus, dynamic shear strength and shear elastic modulus influence the distribution of the localized damage in shear band. Internal length of ductile metal only governs the thickness of shear band. In the strain-softening region of shear band, the local damage variable along shear band’s tangential and normal directions is non-linear and highly non-uniform. The non-uniformities in the normal and tangential directions of shear band stem from the interactions and interplaying among microstructures and the non-uniform distribution of shear stress, respectively. At the tail of the strain-softening region, the maximum value of local damage variable reaches 1. This means that material at this position fractures completely. At the tip of shear band and upper as well as lower boundaries, no damage occurs. Local damage variable increases as dynamic shear softening modulus decreases or shear elastic modulus increases, leading to difficulty in identification or detection of damage for less ductile metal material at higher strain rates.
