Land subsidence severely threatens most of the coastal plains around the world where high productive industrial and agricultural activities and urban centers are concentrated. coastal subsidence damages infrastructures and exacerbates the effect of the sea-level rise at regional scale. Although it is a well-known process, there is still much more to be improved on the monitoring, mapping and modeling of ground movements, as well as the understanding of controlling mechanisms. The International Geoscience Programme recently approved an international project(IGcP 663) aiming to bring together worldwide researchers to share expertise on subsidence processes typically occurring in coastal areas and cities, including basic research, monitoring and observation, modelling and management. In this paper, we provide the research communities and potential stakeholders with the basic information to join the participating teams in developing this project. Specifically, major advances on coastal subsidence studies and information on well-known and new case studies of land subsidence in china, Italy, The Netherlands, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand are highlighted and summarized. Meanwhile, the networking, dissemination, annual meeting and field trip are briefly introduced.

Neuroblastoma, a tumor of peripheral nerve, is the most common solid tumor of young children. In high-risk disease, which comprises approximately half of patients, death from chemotherapy-resistant, metastatic relapse is very frequent. children who relapse exhibit clonal enrichment of two genomic alterations: high-level amplification of the MYcN oncogene, and kinase domain mutations of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene. Overall survival in this patient cohort is less than 15% at 3 years, and there are few options for rationally targeted therapy. Neuroblastoma patients exhibit de novo resistance to many existing ALK inhibitors, and no clinical therapeutics to target MYcN have yet been developed. This review outlines the international efforts to uncover mechanisms of oncogenic action that are therapeutically targetable using small-molecule inhibitors. We describe a mechanistic interaction in which ALK upregulates MYcN transcription, and discuss clinical trials emerging to develop transcriptional inhibitors of MYcN, and to identify effective inhibitors of ALK in neuroblastoma patients.

Rapid urbanization creates new challenges and issues, and the smart city concept offers opportunities to rise to these challenges, solve urban problems and provide citizens with a better living environment. This paper presents an exhaustive literature survey of smart cities. first, it introduces the origin and main issues facing the smart city concept, and then presents the fundamentals of a smart city by analyzing its definition and application domains. Second, a data-centric view of smart city architectures and key enabling technologies is provided. finally, a survey of recent smart city research is presented. This paper provides a reference to researchers who intend to contribute to smart city research and implementation.

This paper revealed the climatic change characteristics of fog and haze of different levels over North china and Huang-Huai area(NcHH).It was found that the haze-prone period has changed from winter into a whole year,and the haze days(HD)in winter have increased *** foggy days(fD)are half of *** are little difference on the number of days and trends of fog at various *** HD and fD show no obvious positive correlation until the *** has larger spatial scale,showing more in the south than in the *** occurs mainly around large cities with a discrete *** the background of weakened East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM)and sufficient particulate matter,the negative correlation between haze and wind speed is weakened,but the positive correlation between haze and moisture conditions(precipitation and humidity)is significantly *** recent years,small wind and variability appear ***,as the stable source and strong moisture absorption of the aerosol particles,the moisture condition becomes one key control factor in the haze,especially wet haze with less *** contrast,the fD presents a stable positive correlation with precipitation and relative humidity,but has no obvious negative correlation with wind speed.

The dynamic traveling salesman problem(DTSP)is significant in logistics distribution in real-world applications in smart cities,but it is uncertain and difficult to *** paper proposes a scheme library-based ant colony optimization(AcO)with a two-optimization(2-opt)strategy to solve the DTSP *** work is novel and contributes to three aspects:problemmodel,optimization framework,and ***,in the problem model,traditional DTSP models often consider the change of travel distance between two nodes over time,while this paper focuses on a special DTSP model in that the node locations change dynamically over ***,in the optimization framework,the AcO algorithm is carried out in an offline optimization and online application framework to efficiently reuse the historical information to help fast respond to the dynamic *** framework of offline optimization and online application is proposed due to the fact that the environmental change inDTSPis caused by the change of node location,and therefore the newenvironment is somehowsimilar to certain previous *** way,in the offline optimization,the solutions for possible environmental changes are optimized in advance,and are stored in a mode scheme *** the online application,when an environmental change is detected,the candidate solutions stored in the mode scheme library are reused via AcO to improve search efficiency and reduce computational ***,in the algorithm design,the AcO cooperates with the 2-opt strategy to enhance search *** evaluate the performance of AcO with 2-opt,we design two challenging DTSP cases with up to 200 and 1379 nodes and compare them with other AcO and genetic *** experimental results show that AcO with 2-opt can solve the DTSPs effectively.

This study deals with the optimization of best working conditions in molten melt for the production of hydrogen(H2) *** research has been carried out on how electrochemical process occurs through steam splitting via molten hydroxide.54 combinations of cathode,anode,temperature and voltage have been investigated for the optimization of best working conditions with molten hydroxide for hydrogen gas *** these electrochemical investigations were carried out at 225 to 300℃ temperature and 1.5 to 2.5 V applied voltage *** current efficiency of 90.5,80.0 and 68.6% has been achieved using stainless steel anodic cell with nickel,stainless steel and platinum working cathode *** nickel cathode,an increase in the current directly affected the hydrogen gas flow rate at *** can be hypothesized from the noted results that increase in current is directly proportional to operating temperature and applied *** values were noted when the applied voltages increased from 1.5 to 2.5 V at 300℃,the flow rate of hydrogen gas increased from 1.5 to 11.3 cm^(3) min^(-1),1.0 to 13 cm^(3) min^(-1) in case of electrolysis@stainless steel and@graphite anode *** is observed that the current efficiency of stainless steel anodic cell was higher than the graphite anodic ***,steam splitting with the help of molten salts has shown an encouraging alternate to current methodology for H2 fuel production.

The current study investigated the effect of biochars derived from cinnamomum woodchip,garden waste and mulberry woodchip on soil phytoavailable lead(Pb),cadmium(cd)pools,and their uptake by chinese cabbage(Brassica chinensis L.).The biochars were produced at 450℃of pyrolysis *** contaminated soils were collected from Yunfu(clas-sified as Udept),Jiyuan(Ustalf)and Shaoguan(Udult)cities in china at the depth of 0-20 cm and amended with biochars at the rate of 3%w/*** mixing the soil with biochar for 14 days,the chinese cabbage was planted in the amended ***,it was harvested on the 48th day after sowing *** Udult soil,chinese cabbage died 18 days after sowing period in control and soils amended with cinnamomum and mulberry *** only plants grown with the garden waste biochar treatment survived in Udult soil,amendment of garden waste or mulberry biochars at 3%w/w(450℃)to Udult soil significantly increased(4.95-6.25)soil pH compared to other biochar *** Udept and Ustalf soils,the application of garden waste and mulberry biochars significantly improved plant biomass compared to control,albeit it was dependent on both biochar and soil *** waste biochar significantly decreased soil cd phytoavailable concentration by 26%in the Udult soil,while a decrease of soil cd phytoavailable concentration by 16%and 9%was observed in Ustalf and Udept soils,*** available phosphorus in biochar and soil pH were important factors controlling toxic metal phytouptake by the ***,the amendment of soil with biochar at 3%can effectively reduce the mobility of cd and Pb in soil and plant ***,biochar and soil properties should be well-known before being used for soil toxic metal immobilization.

GRADE: Deep learning and garlic routing-based secure data sharing framework for IIoT beyond 5G

The rise of automation with Machine-Type communication(MTc)holds great potential in developing Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)-based applications such as smart cities,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS),supply chains,and smart industries without any human ***,MTc has to cope with significant security challenges due to heterogeneous data,public network connectivity,and inadequate security *** overcome the aforementioned issues,we have proposed a blockchain and garlic-routing-based secure data exchange framework,i.e.,GRADE,which alleviates the security constraints and maintains the stable connection in ***,the Long-Short-Term Memory(LSTM)-based Nadam optimizer efficiently predicts the class label,i.e.,malicious and non-malicious,and forwards the non-malicious data requests of MTc to the Garlic Routing(GR)*** GR network assigns a unique ElGamal encrypted session tag to each machine partaking in ***,an Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is applied to encrypt the MTc data ***,the InterPlanetary file System(IPfS)-based blockchain is employed to store the machine's session tags,which increases the scalability of the proposed GRADE ***,the proposed framework has utilized the indispensable benefits of the 6G network to enhance the network performance of ***,the proposed GRADE framework is evaluated against different performance metrics such as scalability,packet loss,accuracy,and compromised rate of the MTc data *** results show that the GRADE framework outperforms the baseline methods in terms of accuracy,i.e.,98.9%,compromised rate,i.e.,18.5%,scalability,i.e.,47.2%,and packet loss ratio,i.e.,24.3%.
