A variable-power(VP)adaptive modulation(AM)scheme with space-time block code(STBC)is developed in MIMO systems,and the corresponding performance is investigated in Nakagami fading *** optimum switching thresholds are derived so that the spectrum efciency(SE)under an average power and a target bit error rate(BER)constraint is *** the switching thresholds,average BER and SE are further *** a result,closed-form expressions are ***,the exact and approximate BER expressions of VP AM and constant-power(CP)AM systems with delayed feedback are respectively *** results show that the theoretical SE and BER can match the corresponding simulation *** results indicate that VP-AM with STBC provide higher spectrum efciency than the CP counterparts,and has slighter bite error rate performance degradation when the normalized delay is less than 0.01.

ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 8(ABCC8)encodes a protein regulating the ATP-sensitive potassium *** the level of ABCC8 mRNA in lower grade glioma(LGG)correlates with immune cell infiltration and patient outcomes has not been evaluated until *** of ABCC8 expression between different tumors and normal tissues were evaluated by exploring publicly available *** association between ABCC8 and tumor immune cell infiltration,diverse gene mutation characteristics,tumor mutation burden(TMB),and survival in LGG was also investigated in several independent *** enrichment analysis was conducted to search for ABCC8-associated signaling *** an online database,we found that ABCC8 expression in LGG was lower than in normal ***,the association of ABCC8 expression and immune cell infiltration in LGG was *** we expected,the ABCC8 mRNA levels were negatively associated with non-T immune cell infiltration levels in all ***,TCGA_LGG RNA-seq data revealed that ABCC8 downregulated several non-T immune cell-associated signaling pathways in gene set enrichment *** ABCC8 expression groups showed diverse gene mutation characteristics and *** high expression of ABCC8 was linked to improved survival of LGG patients.A pathway enrichment analysis of ABCC8-associated genes indicated that the GABAergic synapse signaling pathway might be involved in regulating immunity in *** findings show that ABCC8 reflects LGG tumor immunity and is an ideal prognostic biomarker for LGG.

Nowadays,the service of network video is increasing *** the quality of experience(QoE)model of network video quality is not *** video quality may be impaired by many *** paper proposes QoE models for network video *** consists of two components:1)the perceptual video quality model considering the impair factors related to video content as well as distortion caused by content and *** the model is built through a decision tree using a set of measured features form the network *** proposed model can qualitatively give the grade of video quality and improve the accuracy of prediction.2)Based on the above model,another model is proposed to give the concrete objective score of video *** also considers original impair factors and predicts the video quality using fuzzy decision *** two models have their own *** first model has a good computational complexity;the second model is more *** the models are simulated by actual *** can improve the accuracy of objective *** detail results are shown.

In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity(LHT),some new particles,such as the T-odd mirror quarks and goldstone bosons,can contribute to various *** calculate their contribution to Zcc *** observables are related to Zcc coupling,for example,the effective vector and axial−vector Zcc coupling constants(gVc,gAc)and c−quark forward-backward asymmetry(AcFB).We give our predictions about gVc,gAc in the LHT model and show the allowed regions of the mirror quark masses based on the experimental data of gVc−***,we present an explanation of AcFB.

This paper focuses on reviewing the factors that operate to reduce gender inequality in political representation among Arab women in Israel. A theoretical debate about the changes in the status of Arab women as they are reflected in political representation patterns is conducted in the context of the political reality in the last decade in Israel and the ＂Arab Spring＂ events. The paper also focuses on clarifying the significance of the changes in political representation patterns as future trends of reducing gender inequality, within the acknowledged social patterns, which do not subvert the gender order in Arab society in Israel or in the frame of fundamental social change.

This paper analyzes the impact of past trauma on national behavior in times of threat, applying Volkan＇s （2001, 2004） theory of multigenerational impact of trauma on large groups, and La Capra＇s （2014） theory of the use of the concept of individuals＇ trauma for understanding the behavior of traumatized collectives. The study of the Israeli response to the abduction and murder of three teenagers in summer 2014 is consistent with these theories, and shows how a collective with trauma in its past behaves similarly to a posttraumatic person. The paper contends that due to its traumatic past, the Jewish Israeli public perceived a tragic but limited （from a national security standpoint） hostile action as a grave collective threat, which invoked past demons and brought back existential fears. These feelings were inflamed by the Israeli media and leaders, paving the way for an escalation of the event into an armed battle.

This article analyzes the role of the media during the 2011 social protests in Israel, in order to examine why the ＂Social Justice＂ protest proved more effective than any other social protest organized previously in Israel. Scholars have shown that media fi＇aming has a powerful effect on citizen perception and policy debates. The social protests focused on the political-social-economic policy based on a neo-liberal ideology. They signified the beginnings of resistance to the system and became the focus of public and media identification via reports published by leading Israeli newspapers： Yedioth Ahronoth and lsrael Hayom. Using content analysis, the author explore how the media plays an important role to shape the public perception of how to think and act about the protest. Due to the results, we evident the expand media capacity and influence, and that these effects are mediated in presenting positive and supportive coverage, including connotations and metaphors expressed by means of familiar slogans and events in the collective memory of Israeli society. Additionally, the expression ＂social justice＂ that became the protest＇s slogan, offered a broad common basis with which each citizen could identify, including journalists.

The article discusses five local stories that, without being connected to each other, tell about the socio-cultural circumstances accompanying creation of works of art that have received significant (but not the highest) recognition on a global scale. The discussion concerns three songs about cities: Torna a Surriento, Moscow Nights, and Li Beirut;a famous Soviet painting Low Marks Again;and the design features of Audi cars for the US market over the past decade. The approach to each certain artifact, be it song, painting, or the design of rear turn signals, is developed on the basis of disciplinary affiliation, whereas a discipline is more sociology, anthropology, or history of an appropriate art, than its theory. Another research method places a local context into the test tube of globalization. Experience shows that these two methods are applicable to different arts, places, and periods enriching the scientist with more detailed information about the era studied.

The purpose of the article is to review the dynamics of the Orientalist agenda in Israeli modernism from the 1920s to the 1970s as the establishment of sign-object relations(semiosis)in the national art and *** article considers,as a key issue,the phenomenon,which was not explicitly voiced as such,but was present at a conscious level in the artistic palette of the first and second generation of Israeli artists and *** refers to rather Eastern than Jewish narratives(or at least the delicate balance between them)in Israeli visual art and music created over the decades following World War I and up to the postmodern *** main milestones in this process are reviewed based on the analysis of several selected *** scope of the topic begins with artists’acquaintance with the local motif and proceeds to the work with(and conceptualization of)various Eastern,Jewish,and Israeli symbols.
