Effect of propofol on generation of inflammatory mediator of monocytes

Objective:To evaluate the effect of propofol with different concentrations on the expression of inflammatory mediators of mterleukin and tumor-necrosis factor- α(TNF- α) by stimulating the mouse primary monocytes and human monocytic cell line with lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and also discuss the effeet of propofol on the secretion of inflammatory mediator and its possible molecular ***:The mononuclear cells of mouse spleen were separated and then purified to obtain the primary *** dose-effect relationship of production of pro-inflammatory cytokines by monocytes which were stimulated by LPS,namely the monocytes were stimulated by the dose of 0-500 ng/mL for 24 *** was employed to detect the concentration of IL-6,TL-8 and TNF-α.The effect of propofol on the secretion of above pro-inflammatory cytokines by the monocytes was *** were divided into the control group,the 0.1%DMSO group,the LPS group and the treatment group with LPS + different dose of propofol(propofol 1-100 μg/mL).ELISA was employed to detect the concentration of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α.The change in the expression of important signaling molecules in Toll-like receptor and NF-κ B signaling pathway was detected after THP-1 cells were treated with ***:The concentration of TNF- α was(3 863±153)pg/mL after 12 h of stimulation by LPS and then its concentration was decreased *** the concentration of IL-6 and IL-8 was relatively high after 24 h of stimulation by LPS,(5 627±330) pg/mL and(1 626±200) pg/mL,*** propofol could inhibit the expression of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF- α caused by *** the intervention treatment of 50 μg/mL propofol,the concentration of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α was significantly decreased(P<0.01).Conclusions:The propofol can inhibit the expression of TLR-4 and NF-κ B to inhibit the activation of p38 and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Management of Mandibular Hypoplasia Using Distraction Osteogenesis Technique

By using distraction osteogenesis technique, 3 cases of mandibular hypoplasia were treat ed by home made and German made jaw distractors: including one patient suffered from bilateral ankylosis of temporo mandibular joint and 2 patients from deficiency of mandible. The duration of distraction osteogenesis was one month. The bone distractor was removed 3 months after operation. Satisfactory results were obtained in all 3 cases. Distraction osteogenesis can successfully be used in mandibular functional reconstruction and has much more advantages than traditional technique.

Bibliometric analysis about compassion fatigue based on Web of Science database

Objective: To analyze the related foreign literature about compassion fatigue (CF) and to provide the basis for further improving the level of research in this field. Methods: Based on the Web of Science core database and its own analysis function, HistCite analysis software was used to study the diploma research about CF. Results: A total of 652 paper were retrieved, the output of literature showed an increasing trend year by year. The United States ranked first, and China ranked eleventh. The “Oncology Nursing Forum” had the largest number of articles (4.0%). The main research direction was in nursing (29.6%), and the main research output was from articles (73.2%). The key words highly cited were “compassion” and “fatigue”. Figley was the author of the high-yield field, and mainly research institutions were universities. The highly cited article was entitled “Compassion fatigue: Psychotherapists’ chronic lack of self-care”. Conclusions: In recent years, the related heat of CF has been high fever. Our research in this field is still in the primary stage, and it needs to be further excavated and promoted.

Effect of enhanced recovery after surgery with multidisciplinary collaboration on nursing outcomes after total knee arthroplasty

Clinical application of multidisciplinary team-and evidence-based practice project in gynecological patients with perioperative hypothermia

BACKGROUND Perioperative hypothermia(PH)negatively affects the physical and mental health of patients to varying ***,there is no effective multidisciplinary team(MDT)intervention for gynecological patients with *** To apply the best evidence on the prevention and management of PH in gynecological patients,improve the quality of perioperative evidence-based care based on treatment by an MDT for gynecological patients and analyze the effect of MDT-and evidence-based practice(EBP)projects on the psychological status and cognitive function of gynecological patients with *** Under the guidance of knowledge translation and combined with the opinions of involved stakeholders and clinical experts,the best evidence for PH prevention and management in gynecological patients was selected and adjusted to suit the practice *** on the evidence,the practice plan was developed,and the MDT intervention was carried out in the preoperative ward,the preoperative preparation room,the intraoperative operating room,the postanesthesia care unit,and the 24-hour postoperative gynecological ward through the EBP *** incidence of hypothermia,the nurses’awareness,the implementation rate of examination indicators,and the thermal comfort level,psychological status and cognitive function of patients were compared before and after the implementation of the *** The incidence of PH in gynecological patients decreased from 43.33%to 13.33%after the implementation of the *** implementation rate of examination indicators 6-10,12,14,16-18,21,and 22 reached 100%,and that of other indicators was above 90%,except for examination indicators 5 and 13,which was 66.67%;the indices were significantly improved compared with the baseline(before evidence application)(P<0.05).The score of nurses'awareness of PH prevention and management in gynecological patients increased from 60.96±9.70 to 88.08±8.96,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001)

mi R-382 functions as a tumor suppressor against esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

AIM To explore the effect of miR-382 on esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in vitro and its possible molecular mechanism. METHODS Eca 109 cells derived from human ESCC and Het-1A cells derived from human normal esophageal epithelium were used. Lentivirus-mediated miR-382 was overexpressed in Eca109 cells. The effect of miR-382 on cell proliferation was evaluated by MTT and colony formation assay. For cell cycle analysis, cells were fixed and stained for 30 min with propidium iodide (PI) staining buffer containing 10 mg/mL PI and 100 mg/mL RNase A, and analyzed by BD FACSCalibur (TM) flow cytometer. For cell apoptosis assay, cells were stained with an Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Detection Kit according to the manufacturer's instructions and analyzed by a dual-laser flow cytometer. Cell invasion and migration abilities were determined through use of transwell chambers, non-coated or pre-coated with matrigel. Levels of proteins related to cell growth and migration were examined by western blotting. RESULTS Endogenous miR-382 was down-regulated in Eca109 cells compared with Het-1A. Introduction of miR-382 not only significantly inhibited proliferation and colony formation, but also arrested cell cycle at the G2/M phase, as well as promoted apoptosis and autophagy in Eca109 cells. Migration, invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of Eca109 cells were suppressed by overexpressing miR-382. Western blotting results showed that miR-382 inhibited the phosphorylation of mTOR and 4E-BP1. CONCLUSION miR-382 functions as a tumor suppressor against ESCC development and metastasis, and could be considered as a potential drug source for the treatment of ESCC patients.

Effects of humanized nursing care on negative emotions and complications in patients undergoing hysteromyoma surgery

BACKGROUND Uterine fibroids,are prevalent benign tumors affecting women of reproductive ***,surgical treatment is often necessary for symptomatic hysteromyoma *** study examines the impact of humanized nursing care on reducing negative emotions and postoperative complications in patients receiving hysteromyoma *** To investigate the impact of humanized nursing care on patients undergoing hysteromyoma *** Among patients who underwent hysteromyoma surgery at the Fudan University Affiliated Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital,200 were randomly assigned to either the control group(n=100)or the humanized nursing care group(n=100).The control group received traditional nursing care,while the humanized nursing care group received a comprehensive care plan encompassing psychological support,pain management,and tailored rehabilitation *** addition,anxiety and depression levels were assessed using the hospital anxiety and depression scale preoperatively and *** complications were evaluated during follow-up assessments and compared between both *** The humanized nursing care group demonstrated a significant decrease in anxiety and depression levels compared to the control group(P<0.05).The rate of postoperative complications,including infection,bleeding,and deep venous thrombosis,was also markedly lower in the humanized nursing care group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Humanized nursing care can effectively alleviate negative emotions and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications in patients undergoing hysteromyoma *** approach should be considered a crucial component of perioperative care for these *** research may be needed to explore additional benefits and long-term outcomes of implementing humanized nursing care in this population.
