To the Editor:Allogeneic hemopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)represents the only long-term survival treatment choice for patients with myelodysplastic syndromes(MDS)and MDS/myeloproliferative neoplasm(MPN).Unfortunately,post-hemopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)relapse remains a cause of treatment failure and the results of salvage treatments are *** better conditioning regimens is urgently *** studies have shown synergistic antileukemic effects between decitabine(DEC)and idarubicin(IDA).[1]In an attempt to design a conditioning strategy with very low toxicity but considerable myelosuppressive activity and potential immune-enhancing effects for patients with high-risk MDS and MDS/MPN,we combined DEC and IDA with busulfan,cyclophosphamide,andudarabine for a modied myeloablative regimen in this prospective,multicenter cohort study(hereafter referred to as the“DEC/IDA study”).

Porta hepatis tuberculous lymphadenopathy(TL)is rare,and the clinical and imaging manifestations often mimic *** offer a bet-ter understanding of porta hepatis TL and thus improve its diagnosis and treatment,here,we retrospectively reviewed and analyzed 10 porta hepatis TL cases between May 2017 and November *** this study,porta hepatis TL occurred predominantly in women(70%),with a mean age of 43.1 years(range,16-70 years).Among the patients,60%were initially suspected of malignancy(metastatic lymphadenopathy and lymphoma).The clinical manifestations were nonspecific,such as fever and weight loss,without overt abdominal *** patients showed high concentrations of serum C-reactive protein,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,alkaline phosphatase,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and carbohydrate antigen *** rim-like enhancement was a characteristic finding on contrast-enhanced CT for all the *** examination confirmed the diagnosis in 90%of patients with caseous granulo-matous inflammation and positive results of Xpert MTB/RIF,quantitative real-time PCR and/or metagenomic next-generation sequenc-ing *** patients underwent antituberculosis therapy with a median treatment duration of 13.5 months(range,1-43 months).They all showed satisfactory therapeutic responses with improved symptoms and resolution on imaging after *** examination by biopsy remains the primary diagnostic method.A combination of the characteristic epidemiologic,clinical,imaging fea-tures and lesion biopsy for histopathology are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of TL.

The immune system defends the body from infection and plays a vital role in a wide range of health *** afects a series of physiological processes,including those linked to the function of human immune *** metabolism modulates immune cell activation and cytokine *** the relationship between metabolism and immune response has important implications for the development of immune-based ***,the deployment of large-scale functional assays to investigate the metabolic regulation of immune response has been limited by the lack of standardized ***,we present a protocol for the analysis of immune response using standardized whole-blood stimulation with metabolism *** immune stimuli including pattern recognition receptor(PRR)ligands and microbial stimuli were incubated with fresh human whole *** metabolic inhibitors were used to modulate metabolic status in the immune *** variable immune responses after metabolic interventions were *** described in detail the main steps involved in the whole-blood stimulation and cytokines quantifcation,namely,collection and treatment of whole blood,preparation of samples and controls,cytokines detection,and stimulation with metabolic *** metabolic inhibitors for anabolic pathways and catabolic pathways exert selective efects on the production of cytokines from immune *** addition to a robust and accurate assessment of immune response in cohort studies,the standardized whole-blood stimulation with metabolic regulation might provide new insights for modulating immunity.

Power equipment vibration visualization using intelligent sensing method based on event-sensing principle

Vibration measurements can be used to evaluate the operation status of power equipment and are widely applied in equipment quality inspection and fault ***-sensing technology can sense the change in surface light intensity caused by object vibration and provide a visual description of vibration *** on the analysis of the principle underlying the transformation of vibration behavior into event flow data by an event sensor,this paper proposes an algorithm to reconstruct event flow data into a relationship correlating vibration displacement and time to extract the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the vibration signal.A vibration measurement test platform is constructed,and feasibility and effectiveness tests are performed for the vibration motor and other power *** results show that event-sensing technology can effectively perceive the surface vibration behavior of power and provide a wide dynamic ***,the vibration measurement and visualization algorithm for power equipment constructed using this technology offers high measurement accuracy and *** results of this study provide a new noncontact and visual method for locating vibrations and performing amplitude-frequency analysis on power equipment.

Emergency Care for Children and Adolescents after Sexual Violence, in Brazil’s Capital, Brasilia

Objective: Sexual violence affects women of all ages but, more commonly, children and adolescents. This study aimed to identify the extent to which services are being provided at the hospitals responsible for the emergency care of children and adolescents who have suffered sexual violence and to determine whether there is any difference in the provision of such services as a function of the victim’s age. Method: This cross-sectional study investigated differences in the care received by female children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence in a capital city, comparing the treatment given to girls under 15 with that given to adolescents of 15 to 19 years of age. The data were extracted from the state Department of Health database between 01/01/2012 and 31/12/2016. Results: Children under 15 were much less likely to receive prophylaxis against HIV, sexually transmitted infections and hepatitis B, with the number of adolescent girls treated adequately corresponding to between twice and almost three times the number of children treated prophylactically. Only 10% of girls under 15 received emergency contraception. Conclusion: The lack of standard care established by the Ministry of Health highlights the need for urgent debates both locally and probably throughout the country, as the situation may be similar in other regions of the country.

Assessment of Heavy Metal Exposure in Soils of Ihwrekreka Communities, Delta state, Nigeria

Crude oil pollution in the Niger Delta, perpetrated by both local communities and industrial actors, has brought about soil pollution with its consequent ecological, human health and food challenges. The purpose of this research was to examine the concentration and distribution of heavy metals in soil from communities contaminated by crude oil in Niger Delta, and to evaluate the potential health risks to residents from exposure to these contaminants. To achieve this, soil samples were collected from the Ihwrekreka community and analyzed for heavy metal content using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The analytical results in mg/kg revealed a significant metals pollution level derived from the oil spill in the soil ranging from 4.85 - 17,078 (Cu), 1.01 - 16.1 (Cd), 0.22 - 36.8 (Cr), 8.28 - 40.9 (Ni), 7.51 - 6474 (Pb), and 8.84 - 12,851 (Zn) respectively. Most of the metals were above the permissible limits of World Health Organization, with Cu, Zn, and Pb as the most contaminating metals. Lead was found to be the main contributor to the hazard index (HI) values for both children and adults in the study area, with its concentration exceeding the permitted limits set by the WHO and the EC. The hazard index (HI) values of Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ni, and Cr were significantly higher than 1. These findings suggest that the release of heavy metals from an oil-contaminated site may pose a risk to human health and the environment.

This work investigated the gradient microstructure evolution and tensile property of LPBF fabricated 15-5 precipitation hardening stainless steel in post-process direct ageing(DA)and solution treating&ageing(STA).The varied microstructures for austenite and small-sized oxide inclusions at different sample heights in the as-built(AB)condition was generally preserved after DA ***,austenite was almost disappeared,and oxide particle grew significantly after the STA *** a result,the tensile property differences in sample top and bottom for AB and DA conditions did not occur in the STA *** the influence of post-process heat treatment,the STA condition had the highest yield strength due to the highest volume fraction of nano-sized Cu ***,the DA specimen had the highest ultimate tensile strength and elongation owing to the considerable amount of austenite phase and associated transformation induced plasticity effect.

Pyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone(PTO),with a high theoretical capacity of 408 mAh·g^(−1),is a promising candidate for rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(RAZIBs),but its zincated products during discharge process suffer from high solubility in ***,aβ-ketoenamine-linked two-dimensional(2D)covalent organic framework(COF)based on a 2,7-diaminopyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone(4KT-BD)monomer and a 2,4,6-trihydroxy-benzene-1,3,5-tricarbaldehyde(Tp)node(4KT-Tp-COF)is synthesized to address the above *** well-designed 4KT-Tp-COF displays low solubility in 3 M Zn(CF3SO3)2 owing to the favorableπ-πstacking as well as extended ***,the ingenious structural design of the active molecule and the long-range ordered nano-channels alter the intramolecular electron distribution,which facilitates the ionic ***,the 4KT-Tp-COF cathode exhibits a stable capacity of 181 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.2 A·g^(−1),superior rate capability of 139 mAh·g^(−1)at 20 A·g^(−1),and a long lifetime of 1000 cycles without capacity loss at 30 A·g^(−1).Even at a low temperature of−20°C,the electrode also performs an ultralong cycling life of 9000 cycles with a capacity of 106 mAh·g^(−1)at 5 A·g^(−1).The comprehensive characterizations of ex-situ analyses together with the theoretical calculations validate that the groups of C=O can contribute highly accessible redox-active sites for Zn^(2+)*** ultra-stable 4KT-Tp-COF cathode provides important insights for designing robust organic electrodes for sustainable and large-scale electrochemical energy storage.

In the past two decades, the oxy-fuel combustion of pulverized coal has been extensively developed, leading to the completion of several large industrial pilot oxy-fuel plants worldwide. Various types of oxy-fuel burners have been designed and tested in largescale pilot plants as key components of oxy-fuel combustion. These burners face major challenges in terms of their flame stability because of their decreasing stream momentum ratio and increasing carbon dioxide concentration. However, it offers flexibility in adjusting the oxygen concentration in each burner stream. This study aims to provide a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art knowledge on oxy-coal burner design and operation in power plants. First, the combustion characteristics under oxy-fuel conditions are briefly introduced. Subsequently, the principal requirements and fundamental parameters of the oxy-coal burners are discussed. The development process of oxy-fuel burners is also presented. Moreover, a compatible design strategy and scaling-up techniques are described for oxy-coal burners developed by the authors over the past ten years. The performances of oxy-coal burners in three large pilot oxy-fuel plants worldwide are summarized and compared. Finally, concluding remarks are provided and potential research needs are suggested.
