To apply an individualized oncological approach to gastric cancer patients,the accurate diagnosis of disease entities is *** metastasis is the most frequent mode of metastasis in gastric cancer,and the tumor-node-metastasis classification includes cytological detection of intraperitoneal cancer cells as part of the staging process,denoting metastatic *** accuracy of cytological diagnosis leaves room for improvement;therefore,highly sensitive molecular diagnostics,such as an enzyme immunoassay,reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction,and virusguided imaging,have been developed to detect minute cancer cells in the peritoneal *** targeting therapy has also been spun off from basic research in the past *** conventional cytologyis still the mainstay,novel approaches could serve as practical complementary diagnostics to cytology in near future.

Macrophages are one of the most abundant leukocyte populations infiltrating tumor tissues and can exhibit both tumoricidal and tumor-promoting *** 1989,we reported the purification of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)from culture supernatants of mitogen-activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells and tumor ***-1 is a potent monocyte-attracting chemokine,identical to the previously described lymphocyte-derived chemotactic factor or tumor-derived chemotactic factor,and greatly contributes to the recruitment of blood monocytes into sites of inflammatory responses and *** in vitro-cultured tumor cells often produce significant amounts of MCP-1,tumor cells are considered to be the main source of ***,various nontumor cells in the tumor stroma also produce MCP-1 in response to *** performed in vitro and in vivo have provided evidence that MCP-1 production in tumors is a consequence of complex interactions between tumor cells and non-tumor cells and that both tumor cells and non-tumor cells contribute to the production of *** MCP-1 production was once considered to be a part of host defense against tumors,it is now believed to regulate the vicious cycle between tumor cells and macrophages that promotes the progression of tumors.

Oxidation is one of the most fundamental reactions in organic synthesis. Owing to the current need to develop forward-looking technology that is environmentally acceptable with respect many aspects. The most attractive approaches are biomimetic oxidation reactions that are closely related to the metabolism of living things. The metabolisms are governed by a variety of enzymes such as cytochrome P-450 and *** of the function of these enzymes with simple transition metal complex catalyst or organic catalysts led to the discovery of biomimetic, catalytic oxidations with peroxides[1]. We extended such biomimetic methods to the oxidation with molecular oxygen under mild conditions.

This paper treats the numerical calculation of a steady two-dimensional viscous flow past a flexible membrane. Both edges of the membrane are fixed in the flow and its chord is set normal to the flow. The numerical calculations of the Navier-Stokes equation based on a finite difference method and a relaxation method are carried out for several values of the membrane tension in cases when the Reynolds numbers are 5, 10 and 20. It is found that the membrane tension has a minimum value below which there is no steady shape of the membrane. Two different shapes of the membrane are possible at a given value of tension: the one is of small deformation, while the other a large deformation. There appear twin vortices in the concave region of the membrane shape if its deformation increases to a certain extent.

The viscous pump,which has a rotor with a helical square channel,is studied *** non-dimen-sional channel curvature is taken to be about *** types of torsion of the channel are made to investigate the torsion effect on the flow *** measure the flux through the channel at a constant rotor speed by changing the pressures at the entrance and exit of the *** also observe the secondary flow at a cross-section of the *** of the results obtained are shown as follows:The friction factor along the channel to get the same flux is large for large channel torsion at a constant rotation,and becomes small when the favorable rotation of the rotor to the flow is *** for the secondary flow in a cross-section,there appear several types of *** there is no rotation,the secondary flow is almost a symmetric two-vortex type for small flux as is the ordinary Dean vortex,but it changes to a four-vortex type when the flux is *** secondary flow becomes asymmetric as the rotation is *** have unsteady flow patterns at large flux and rotation.
