Progress in the application of graphene material in oilfield chemistry:A review

Graphene is a single atom thick crystal composed of carbon atoms. It is the lightest, thinnest, strongest material that conducts heat and electricity well heretofore. In terms of application, by introducing oxygen-containing groups, graphene can be well dispersed in solvents, can be chemically modified and functionalized, or connected with other electroactive substances through covalent bond or non-covalent bond to form composite materials, which is conducive to further processing and promotion. The application of graphene in oilfield chemistry started late, but developed rapidly. Graphene has played an active role in drilling fluid, cementing fluid, fracturing fluid, displacement fluid and other oilfield working fluids. It can enhance the temperature and salt resistance of working fluid and improve the effect of working fluid. In this paper, several directions of graphene applications in oilfield chemistry, such as modified graphene, graphene copolymers and graphene nanoparticles, are reviewed in detail from the synthesis methods, action mechanisms and effects of graphene and its derivatives, and the frontier cases at this stage are given. On the basis of the existing research, suggestions for the development direction of graphene materials in oilfield chemistry are given for a variety of graphene materials, aiming to provide guidance for the application of graphene in oilfield chemistry.

Recent advances in deep neural networks have shed new light on physics,engineering,and scientific *** the data-centered viewpoint with physical simulation is one of the research *** physicsinformedneural network(PINN)is currently the most general framework,which is more popular due to theconvenience of constructing NNs and excellent generalization *** automatic differentiation(AD)-basedPINN model is suitable for the homogeneous scientific problem;however,it is unclear how AD can enforce fluxcontinuity across boundaries between cells of different properties where spatial heterogeneity is represented bygrid cells with different physical *** this work,we propose a criss-cross physics-informed convolutionalneural network(CC-PINN)learning architecture,aiming to learn the solution of parametric PDEs with spatialheterogeneity of physical *** achieve the seamless enforcement of flux continuity and integration ofphysicalmeaning into CNN,a predefined 2D convolutional layer is proposed to accurately express transmissibilitybetween adjacent *** efficacy of the proposedmethodwas evaluated through predictions of several petroleumreservoir problems with spatial heterogeneity and compared against state-of-the-art(PINN)through numericalanalysis as a benchmark,which demonstrated the superiority of the proposed method over the PINN.

In open pit mining,uncontrolled block instabilities have serious social,economic and regulatory consequences,such as casualties,disruption of operation and increased regulation *** this reason,bench face angle,as one of the controlling parameters associated with block instabilities,should be carefully designed for sustainable *** study introduces a discrete fracture network(DFN)-based probabilistic block theory approach for the fast design of the bench face angle.A major advantage is the explicit incorporation of discontinuity size and spatial distribution in the procedure of key blocks *** proposed approach was applied to a granite mine in ***,DFN models were generated from a multi-step modeling procedure to simulate the complex structural characteristics of pit ***,a modified key blocks searching method was applied to the slope faces modeled,and a cumulative probability of failure was obtained for each ***,a bench face angle was determined commensurate with an acceptable risk level of *** simulation results have shown that the number of hazardous traces exposed on the slope face can be significantly reduced when the suggested bench face angle is adopted,indicating an extremely low risk of uncontrolled block instabilities.

In view of the problems of inconsistent data semantics,inconsistent data formats,and difficult data quality assurance between the railway engineering design phase and the construction and operation phase,as well as the difficulty in fully realizing the value of design results,this paper proposes a design and implementation scheme for a railway engineering collaborative design *** railway engineering collaborative design platform mainly includes functional modules such as metadata management,design collaboration,design delivery management,model component library,model rendering services,and Building Information Modeling(BIM)application *** on this,research is conducted on multi-disciplinary parameterized collaborative design technology for railway engineering,infrastructure data management and delivery technology,and design multi-source data fusion and application *** railway engineering collaborative design platform is compared with other railway design software to further validate its advantages and advanced *** platform has been widely applied in multiple railway construction projects,greatly improving the design and project management efficiency.

Purpose–The purpose of this study is to introduce the top-level design ideas and the overall architecture of earthquake early-warning system for high speed railways in China,which is based on P-wave earthquake early-warning and multiple ways of rapid ***/methodology/approach–The paper describes the key technologies that are involved in the development of the system,such as P-wave identification and earthquake early-warning,multi-source seismic information fusion and earthquake emergency treatment *** paper also presents the test results of the system,which show that it has complete functions and its major performance indicators meet the design ***–The study demonstrates that the high speed railways earthquake early-warning system serves as an important technical tool for high speed railways to cope with the threat of earthquake to the operation *** key technical indicators of the system have excellent performance:The first report time of the P-wave is less than three *** the first arrival of P-wave to the beginning of train braking,the total delay of onboard emergency treatment is 3.63 seconds under 95%*** average total delay for power failures triggered by substations is 3.3 ***/value–The paper provides a valuable reference for the research and development of earthquake early-warning system for high speed railways in other countries and *** also contributes to the earthquake prevention and disaster reduction efforts.

Nanoparticles(NPs)have gained significant attention as a functional material due to their ability to effectively enhance pressure reduction in injection processes in ultra-low permeability *** are typically studied in controlled laboratory conditions,and their behavior in real-world,complex environments such as ultra-low permeability reservoirs,is not well understood due to the limited scope of their *** study investigates the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of NPs in decreasing injection pressure under various injection conditions(25—85℃,10—25 MPa).The results reveal that under optimal injection conditions,NPs effectively reduce injection pressure by a maximum of 22.77%in core *** pressure reduction rate is found to be positively correlated with oil saturation and permeability,and negatively correlated with temperature and ***,particle image velocimetry(PIV)experiments(25℃,atmospheric pressure)indicate that the pressure reduction is achieved by NPs through the reduction of wall shear resistance and wettability *** work has important implications for the design of water injection strategies in ultra-low permeability reservoirs.

Purpose-This paper aims to analyze the stress and strain distribution on the track wheel web surface and study the optimal strain gauge location for force measurement system of the track ***/methodology/approach-Finite element method was employed to analyze the stress and strain distribution on the track wheel web surface under varying wheel-rail *** with minimal coupling interference between vertical and lateral forces were identified as suitable for strain gauge ***-The results show that due to the track wheel web’s unique curved shape and wheel-rail force loading mechanism,both tensile and compressive states exit on the surface of the *** vertical force is applied,Mises stress and strain are relatively high near the inner radius of 710 mm and the outer radius of 1110mmof the *** lateral force,high Mises stress and strain are observed near the radius of 670mmon the inner and outer sides of the *** the wheel-rail force application point shifts laterally toward the outer side,the Mises stress and strain near the inner radius of 710 mm of the web gradually decrease under vertical force while gradually increasing near the outer radius of 1110 mm of the *** lateral force,the Mises stress and strain on the surface of the web remain relatively unchanged regardless of the wheel-rail force application *** on the analysis of stress and strain on the surface of the web under different wheel-rail forces,the inner radius of 870 mm is recommended as the optimal mounting location of strain gauges for measuring vertical force,while the inner radius of 1143 mm is suitable for measuring lateral ***/value-The research findings provide valuable insights for determining optimal strain gauge locations and designing an effective track wheel force measurement system.
