Underground energy storage is an important function of all energy supply systems,and especially concerning the seemingly eternal imbalance between production and demand.Salt rock underground energy storage,for one,is widely applied in both traditional and renewable energy fields;and this particular technique can be used to store natural gas,hydrogen,and compressed air.However,resource diversification and structural complexity make the supply system increasingly uncertain with the passing years,leading to great challenges for energy storage facilities in the present,and perhaps going into the future as well.Hence,it is necessary to research the operation stability of underground energy storage further.In this paper,a stability evaluation index system of Underground gas Storage(UGS)is constructed with natural gas as the main medium,according to FLAC 3D cavity creep simulation software,along with fuzzy membership function to comprehensively determine the impact factor scoring model;the subjective weight is calculated based on the improved Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),the objective weight is calculated by the Entropy Weight Method(EWM),the combined constant weight is obtained by combining the variance maximization theory,and introducing the variable weight theory to obtain a more accurate combined variable weight.Finally,with this all being considered and accounted for,and with the four different conditions designed for UGS deployment case analysis and verification taken into consideration,the combined variable weight evaluation achieved excellent results;compared with the traditional constant weight method,in fact,the new evaluation results are more rigorous and objective.

At present,the optimization of the plunger mechanism is shale gas wells is mostly based on empirical methods,which lack a relevant rationale and often are not able to deal with the quick variations experienced by the production parameters of shale gas wells in comparison to conventional gas wells.In order to mitigate this issue,in the present work,a model is proposed to loosely couple the dynamics of gas inflow into shale gas wells with the dynamics of the liquid inflow.Starting from the flow law that accounts for the four stages of movement of the plunger,a dynamic model of the plunger lift based on the real wellbore trajectory is introduced.The model is then tested against 5 example wells,and it is shown that the accuracy level is higher than 90%.The well‘switch’,optimized on the basis of simulations based on such a model,is tested through on-site experiments.It is shown that,compared with the original switch configuration,the average production of the sample well can be increased by about 15%.

Origin of authigenic dolomites in the dolomitic reservoir of the Permian Fengcheng Formation in the Mahu Sag of Junggar Basin is unclear.Occurrence and genetic evolution of the authigenic dolomites in dolomitic rock reservoir of the Fengcheng Formation in the Mahu Sag were analyzed by polarized and fluorescence thin sections,scanning electron microscope(SEM),electron microprobe(EMP),C,O and Sr isotopes analysis,and other techniques.(1)Dolomites were mainly precipitated in three stages:penecontemporaneous-shallow burial stage(early stage of the Middle Permian),middle burial stage(middle stage of the Middle Permian),and middle-deep burial stage,with the former two stages in dominance.(2)Dolomitization fluid was high-salinity brine originating from alkaline lake.In the penecontemporaneous-shallow burial stage,Mg^(2+)was mainly supplied by alkaline-lake fluid and devitrification of volcanic glass.In the middle burial stage,Mg^(2+)mainly came from the transformation of clay minerals,devitrification of volcanic glass and dissolution of aluminosilicates such as feldspar.(3)Regular changes of Mg,Mn,Fe,Sr,Si and other elements during the growth of dolomite were mainly related to the alkaline-lake fluid,and to different influences of devitrification and diagenetic alteration of volcanic materials during the burial.(4)In the penecontemporaneous stage,induced by alkaline-lake microorganisms,the micritic-microcrystalline dolomites were formed by primary precipitation,replacement of aragonite and high-Mg calcite,and other processes;in the shallow burial stage,the silt-sized dolomites were formed by continuous growth of micritic-microcrystalline dolomite and replacement of calcites,tuffs and other substances;in the middle burial stage,the dolomites,mainly silt-and fine-sized,were formed by replacement of volcanic materials.The research results are referential for investigating the formation mechanism and distribution patterns of tight dolomitic reservoirs in the Mahu Sag and other similar oil and gas bearing areas.

The effect of applied potential on stress corrosion cracking of X80 pipeline steel in acidic soil containing sulfate-reducing bacteria

Electrochemical experiments,slow strain rate tensile testing(SSRT),and scanning electron microscopy were used to investigate the effect of various applied potentials on the stress corrosion cracking(SCC)of X80 pipeline steel in acidic soil containing sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB).The results demonstrated that when the anodic potential was applied,X80 steel exhibited sensitivity to SCC,which was attributed to anodic dissolution.The SCC sensitivity initially decreased,but then increased with a negative shift in the applied potential.At-1200 mV,SCC was the most sensitive,which corresponded to the substantial cathodic polarisation and toxic impact of SRB,which increased the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.At-850 mV,the SCC sensitivity was the lowest because cathodic polarisation suppressed anodic dissolution.The experimental results can contribute to the prevention and management of SCC in operational pipelines.

The India–Eurasia collision has produced a number of Cenozoic deep intracontinental basins,which bear important information for revealing the far-afield responses to the remote collision.Despite their significance,their subsiding mechanism remains the subject of debate,with end-member models attributing it to either orogenic or sedimentary load.In this study,we conduct flexural subsidence modeling with a two-dimensional finite elastic plate model on the Hotan-Mazatagh section along the southern Tarim Basin,which defines a key region in the foreland of the West Kunlun Orogen,along the NW margin of the Tibetan Plateau.The modeling results indicate that the orogenic load of West Kunlun triggers the southern Tarim Basin to subside by up to less than ~6 km,with its impact weakening towards the basin interiors until ~230 km north from the Karakax fault.The sedimentary load,consisting of Cenozoic strata,forces the basin to subside by ~2 to~7 km.In combination with the retreat of the proto-Paratethys Sea and the paleogeographic reorganization of the Tarim Basin,we propose that surface processes,in particular a shift from an exorheic to an endorheic drainage system associated with the consequent thick sedimentary load,played a decisive role in forming deep intracontinental basins in the context of the India-Eurasia collision.

Analysis of China Natural gas Industry Prosperity Index in the Second Quarter of 2021

Fault Systems and Their Mechanisms of the Formation and Distribution of the Tarim Basin,NW China

This article aims to analyze the main controlling factors of development, distribution and evolution of the fault systems in the Tarim Basin. Based on the seismic profile interpretation, compre- hensive analysis of the drilling and geologic data, six fault systems maybe recognized in the Tarim Basin, they are the foreland fault system of the South Tianshan Mountain, the northern Tarim uplift fault sys- tem, North Tarim depression fault system, central fault system, southwest Tarim fault system, and Southeast Tarim fault system. It is indicated that the main differences exist at the development, evolu- tion and distribution of the fault systems in the Tarim Basin. The sub-fault systems can be recognized according to the differences of the fault development and distribution in the interior of the fault system. It is characterized that the multi-level differential development and distribution of the fault systems ex- ist in the Tarim Basin. The fault belt developed in the Paleozoic strata mainly distribute at the pa- leo-uplift and paleo-slope in the interior of the Tarim Basin, and the fault belt occurred in the Meso-Cenozoic beds mainly develop at the peripheral foreland depressions. Zonal and segment differ- ential development and distribution of the fault systems also exist in the Tarim Basin. The formation and distribution of the Tarim fault systems is of complex controlling mechanisms. Poly-phase structural movement and tectonic transition controls the multi-phase differential development and distribution of the fault systems in the Tarim Basin. Multi-level differential development and distribution is controlled by multi-level detachment belt and regional unconformities. Zonal and segment differential develop- ment and distribution of the Tarim fault systems maybe controlled by pre-existed basement structural texture. The major direction of the fault systems in the Tarim Basin is controlled by the later stage basin-mountain coupling.

Shale pore characteristics of Shahejie Formation: Implication for pore evolution of shale oil reservoirs in Dongying sag, north China

The pore characteristics of shale reservoirs in the lower submember of Member 3 to upper submember of Member 4 of Shahejie Formation in Dongying sag are analyzed,influences of mineral content and organic matter content on porosity and pore size are also investigated,and through the diagenetic thermal simulation experiment,the main pore evolution is further discussed.The results show that the pore structure of shale reservoirs is complex,the micron-nanometer pores can storage liquid hydrocarbons,and the free-phase crude oil is mainly distributed in intergranular dissolution pores of calcite,recrystallized intergranular pores,intergranular shrinkage fractures of clay mineral which have large pore size.Framework minerals and organic matter content directly influence porosity and pore size of shale reservoirs,relationship between porosity and content of felsic mineral as well as content of organic matter content is linear and positive,while relationship between content of carbonated mineral is negative.At the buried depth from 2500 to 3500 m,concentration of organic acid from hydrocarbon generation and expulsion of organic matter,increasing range of pressure coefficient,are well corresponding to highporosity intervals;pore formation in shale oil reservoirs are almost controlled by diagenetic evolution of clay minerals;framework storage spaces formed by carbonate grain crystals as well as intergranular and intergranular dissolution pores of carbonate increases porosity of shale oil reservoirs;local increase of porosity at the depth of 3500e3800 m is mainly caused by coupling of hydrocarbon-generating overpressure and dissolution,and size,distribution and connectivity of pores are enhanced obviously.

地震勘探工作中地震采集系统的设计是最为重要的环节,影响到后期资料处理的质量,本文在分析观测系统采集质量与各个参数设置的关系的基础上,提出了基于观测系统综合质量因子评价方法,即接收道数、炮线距、接收线距和接收线数等四个采集参数,给出了观测系统采集质量随四参数变化的关系式。我们根据实际的野外资料利用观测系统综合质量因子评价方法,分析了观测系统质量与四参数的变化关系,结果显示炮线距对观测系统质量影响最大,而接收线距的增大可以适当的提高观测系统质量,接收道数增加可以提高观测系统质量。并利用正演和偏移方法生成不同采集参数的叠前偏移剖面,对比结果表明用本文方法分析结果和偏移剖面结果是一致的,不同的采集参数对浅层和深层同相轴质量有不同的影响,因此生产中我们应根据目的层深度选择合理的采集参数,可结合质量因子评价方法分析优选采集参数。
