Geological division of gas in the Pingdingshan mine area based on its tectonic dynamics characteristics

In this paper,we used tectonic dynamics theories to study the tectonic evolution characteristics of the Pingdingshan mine area,and analyzed the impact of tectonic progressive control on gas *** study results are as follows:the Pingdingshan mine area has been mainly controlled by multiple squeezing and shearing actions of the Qinling orogenic belt since early and middle Yanshan,forming the tectonic control characteristics of master control in two directions,namely NWW trending and NNE trending;the NWW trending structure is dominated by squeezing and shearing,while the NNE trending structure is dominated by *** controlled by the structure,the gas occurrence presents partition and zonation,*** with the western structure,the eastern NWW-NW trending structure of the mine area is more highly developed,resulting in the mine area gas occurrence distribution characteristics are distinct in the east while indistinct in the *** on this,the mine area can be divided into the following two geological dynamic areas:the western half of mine area,namely the Guodishan fault control area,where the NW-SE trending synchronous tension action suffered by the northeast side(footwall) is relatively strong,and compared with the southwest side(hanging wall),its coal and gas outburst seriousness is weak;and the eastern half of mine area,namely the NWW-NW thrust nappe fracture fold control area,which is a serious area of coal and gas outburst,in particular the axial area of the Likou syncline is the intersection compound and combination position of the NW and NE trending structures,a tectonic concentrated area,and the gas pressure and content here are the largest.

China faces the greatest challenge from stroke in the *** death rate for cerebrovascular diseases in China was 149.49 per 100000,accounting for 1.57 million deaths in *** ranked third among the leading causes of death behind malignant tumours and heart *** age-standardised prevalence and incidence of stroke in 2013 were 1114.8 per 100000 population and 246.8 per 100000 person-years,*** to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017,the years of life lost(YLLs)per 100000 population for stroke increased by 14.6%;YLLs due to stroke rose from third highest among all causes in 1990 to the highest in *** absolute numbers and rates per 100000 population for all-age disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for stroke increased substantially between 1990 and 2017,and stroke was the leading cause of all-age DALYs in *** main contributors to cerebrovascular diseases include behavioural risk factors(smoking and alcohol use)and pre-existing conditions(hypertension,diabetes mellitus,dyslipidaemia and atrial fibrillation(AF)).The most prevalent risk factors among stroke survivors were hypertension(63.0%-84.2%)and smoking(31.7%-47.6%).The least prevalent was AF(2.7%-7.4%).The prevalences for major risk factors for stroke are high and most have increased over *** on the latest national epidemiological data,26.6%of adults aged≥15 years(307.6 million adults)smoked tobacco *** those aged≥18 years,age-adjusted prevalence of hypertension was 25.2%;adjusted prevalence of hypercholesterolaemia was 5.8%;and the standardised prevalence of diabetes was 10.9%.For those aged≥40 years,the standardised prevalence of AF was 2.31%.Data from the Hospital Quality Monitoring System showed that 3010204 inpatients with stroke were admitted to 1853 tertiary care hospitals during *** those,2466785(81.9%)were ischaemic strokes(ISs);447609(14.9%)were intracerebral haemorrhages(ICHs);and 95810(3.2%)were subarachnoid haemorrhages(SAHs).The average age

Dynamic leakage mechanism of gas drainage borehole and engineering application

Borehole leakage not only affects the gas drainage effect but also presents considerable risk to human security. For the research on the leakage mechanism of gas drainage borehole, the rheological and visco-elastic-plastic characteristics were considered to establish the mechanical model of coal mass around borehole, which is used to analyze the leakage mechanism and deduce the dynamic leakage model. On the basis of the real coal seam conditions, the variation rules of the stress, leakage ring, and air leakage amount were analyzed through numerical simulation, and the influence factors of air leakage amount were also investigated to provide the theoretical basis for the sealing technology. Results show that the air leakage amount of borehole is inversely proportional to the increase in supporting stress and sealing length, and directly correlated with the increase in borehole radius and softening modulus. Using theoretical analysis, we design a novel active supporting sealing technology that can use grouting material to seal the fractures to reduce the leakage channels and also provide supporting stress to prevent borehole deformation. The engineering test results indicate that the average gas concentration with the novel active supporting sealing technology is increased by 162.12% than that of traditional polyurethane sealing method. Therefore, this technology not only effectively resolves borehole leakage but also significantly improves the gas drainage effect.

Screening study of transition metal oxide catalysts supported on ceria-modified titania for catalytic oxidation of toluene

Six transition metal oxides were added in ceria-modified titania using a sol-gel method for catalytic oxidation of *** MnOx based catalyst was found to be the most active one,with which toluene could be decomposed completely at 200 *** greatest Mn/Ti and molar ratio of the mobile oxygen to the total oxygen concentration,together with a large surface area and a low reduction peak-starting temperature,would result in its best activity in toluene oxidation.

Modelling of urban ambient N,N-dimethylformamide concentrations in a small-scale synthetic leather industrial zone

A method to model small-scale ambient concentrations of N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in a synthetic leather industrial zone was developed. Longwan, a district of Wenzhou City in Southeast China, was selected as the study area. DMF emissions at the synthetic leather industrial zone were inventoried, during 2007, and an AMS/EPA regulatory model (AERMOD) was used to simulate DMF concentrations using 10 000 100 m×100 m grids for the 2006 period. In 2007, actual DMF concentrations were recorded at seven DMF monitoring stations, and were compared with simulated results for the same timeframe. Simulated DMF concentrations were predicted to be in the range of 0.012-2.31 mg/m3, which is similar to the range of the monitored dataset results. A large majority (93%) of relative errors (REs) between simulated and monitored concentrations ranged from 0.48% to 189.4%. While DMF emissions within factories did not exceed the regulated emission limit, simulations indicated that, in 2006, 20% of the daily average ambient DMF concentrations exceeded this limit. This Modelling method could be applied in evaluating regional atmospheric environmental capacities and human exposure to DMF.

A compositional model for CO_(2) ooding including CO_(2) equilibria between water and oil using the Peng–Robinson equation of state with the Wong–Sandler mixing rule

This paper presents a three-dimensional, three-phase compositional model considering CO2 phase equilibrium between water and oil. In this model, CO2 is mutually soluble in aqueous and hydrocarbon phases, while other components, except water,exist in hydrocarbon phase. The Peng–Robinson(PR) equation of state and the Wong–Sandler mixing rule with non-random two-liquid parameters are used to calculate CO2 fugacity in the aqueous phase. One-dimensional and three-dimensional CO2 flooding examples show that a significant amount of injected CO2 is dissolved in water. Our simulation shows 7% of injected CO2 can be dissolved in the aqueous phase, which delays oil recovery by 4%. The gas rate predicted by the model is smaller than the conventional model as long as water is undersaturated by CO2, which can be considered as 'lost' in the aqueous phase. The model also predicts that the delayed oil can be recovered after the gas breakthrough, indicating that delayed oil is hard to recover in field applications. A three-dimensional example reveals that a highly stratified reservoir causes uneven displacement and serious CO2 breakthrough. If mobility control measures like water alternating gas are undertaken, the solubility e ects will be more pronounced than this example.

Characteristics and evolution of strike-slip tectonics of the Liaohe Western Sag,Bohai Bay Basin

Because of its rich oil and gas resources and the special tectonic location of the Liaohe Western Sag （the Tanlu Fault traverses the sag）, Bohai Bay Basin, a detailed study of its strike-slip tectonics is significant in revealing the sag＇s tectonic evolution, its control on hydrocarbon accumulation, and the activity history of the northern section of the Tanlu Fault in the Cenozoic. Through systematic structure analysis of 3D seismic data of the Liaohe Western Sag, combined with balanced section analysis, a variety of structural features in relation to right-lateral strike-slip faults, such as echelon normal faults, ＂comb＂ structure, ＂flower＂ structure,＂interpretable＂ and ＂buried＂ strike-slip faults have been revealed exist in the Liaohe Western Sag. According to the research in this paper, the complex structural phenomena in the Liaohe Western Sag could be reasonably interpreted as right-lateral strike-slip activity and the strike-slip activities of the Liaohe Western Sag began in the early Oligocene. The activity was weak at the beginning （E3s1-2）, then strengthened gradually and reached its strongest level in the late Oligocene （E3d1）. In the Miocene, the strike-slip activity was low and then strengthened significantly once again from the Pliocene to the present. It is speculated that the entire northern section of the Tanlu Fault has had a similar evolution history since the Oligocene.

Pollution of HCHs,DDTs and PCBs in tidal flat of Hangzhou Bay 2009–2013

The concentration and distribution of three persistent organic pollutants （hexachlorocyclohexanes （HCHs）, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes （DDTs） and polyehlorinated biphenyls （PCBs）） was assessed in tidal fiat sediments collected from the south bank of Hangzhou Bay, China from 2009 to 2013. gas chromatography coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry （GC-MS/MS） was used for analysis, based on United States Environmental Protection Agency methods EPAS080A, EPA8081B, and EPA3550B. The results showed that the levels of HCHs, DDTs and PCBs decreased in the order of DDTs 〉 HCHs 〉 PCBs, and their mass fractions ranged from 0.29-32.91, 0.09-13.19 and 0.16-4.10 ktg/kg （dry mass）, respectively. The levels of HCHs, DDTs and PCBs decreased slowly from 2009 to 2013, with considerably greater concentrations in winter than in spring and summer. In this study area, the concentrations of DDTs and HCHs decreased gradually towards the mouth of Hangzhou Bay, while the concentrations of PCBs were related to changes in the local economy. In addition, the sources of HCHs and DDTs were identified as atmospheric precipitation and historical residues, Finally, we predicted that PCBs pollution primarily originated from Aroclor 1254（Lot A4）, which might root in the illegal demolition and stacking of abandoned paint, transformer or electronic equipment in the south bank of Hangzhou Bay.
