Dynamic co.pling Analysis of Semisubmersible Platform Float-over Method for Docking Case

In this paper,the multi-body co.pled dynamic characteristics of a semisubmersible platform and an HYSY 229 barge were ***,co.pled hydrodynamic analysis of the HYSY 229 barge and the semisubmersible platform was *** hydrodynamic parameters were obtained using the retardation function method of three-dimensional frequency-domain potential flow *** results of the hydrodynamic analysis were highly co.sistent with the test findings,verifying the accuracy of the multifloating hydrodynamic co.pling analysis,and key hydrodynamic parameters were solved for different water depths and the co.pling *** to the obtained results,the hydrodynamic influence was the largest in shallow waters when the co.pling effect was ***,the co.pled motion equation co.bined with visco.s damping,fender system,and mooring system was established,and the hydrodynamics,floating body motion,and dynamic response of the fender system were *** analysis revealed good agreement among the surge,sway,and yaw motions of the two floating ***,when the wave period reached 10 s,the motion of the two floating bodies showed severe shock,and a relative motion was also ***,excessive co.straints should be added between the two floating bodies during co.struction to ensure co.struction *** numerical analysis and model test results of the semisubmersible platform and HYSY 229 barge at a water depth of 42 m and sea co.ditions of 0°,45°,and 90° were in good agreement,and the error was less than 5%.The maximum movement of the HYSY 229 barge reached 2.61 m in the sway direction,whereas that of the semisubmersible platform was 2.11 *** co.struction,excessive co.straints should be added between the two floating bodies to limit their relative movement and ensure co.struction safety.

Mechanical Modeling and Analysis of Stability Deterioration of Production Well During Marine Hydrate Depressurization Production

Different from oil and gas production,hydrate reservoirs are shallow and unco.solidated,whose mechanical properties deteriorate with hydrate ***,the formations will undergo significant subsidence during depressurization,which will destroy the original force state of the production ***,existing research on the stability of oil and gas production wells assumes the formation to be stable,and lacks co.sideration of the force exerted on the hydrate production well by formation subsidence caused by hydrate deco.position during *** fill this gap,this paper proposes an analytical method for the dynamic evolution of the stability of hydrate production well co.sidering the effects of hydrate *** on the mechanical model of the production well,the basis for stability analysis has been proposed.A multi-field co.pling model of the force state of the production well co.sidering the effect of hydrate deco.position and formation subsidence is established,and a solver is *** analytical approach is verified by its good agreement with the results from the numerical method.A case study found that the deco.position of hydrate will increase the pulling-down force and reduce the supporting force,which is the main reason for the stability *** higher the initial hydrate saturation,the larger the reservoir thickness,and the lower the production pressure,the worse the stability or even *** work can provide a theoretical reference for the stability maintaining of the production well.

U-Pb zirco. ages and petrogeochemistry and tectonic implications of gabbro and granite in southwest Lahad Datu area of Sabah, Malaysia

The southwest Lahad Datu felsic rocks were previously thought to have formed in the late Triassic as part of the microco.tinental crystalline *** on U-Pb ages,geochemistry,and the Hfisotopes of zirco. from the southeastern Sabah gabbro and granite,in this study,the tectonic properties of the Sabah area during the Triassic were *** weighted average U-Pb zirco. ages of the gabbro and granite samples were determined to be(230.9±2.5)Ma and(207.1±3.3)Ma,*** granite had SiO_(2) co.tents of 66.54%-79.47%,low TiO_(2) co.tents of 0.08%-0.3%,Al_(2)O_(3) co.tents of 10.97%-16.22%,Na_(2)O co.tents of 5.91 %-6.39%,and low K_(2)O co.tents of 0.15%-0.65%.The chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE) patterns exhibit light REE enrichment,with right-sloping *** primitive mantle-normalized trace element spider diagrams exhibit Th,U,La,Sr,and Zr enrichment and Nb,Ta,P and Ti depletions,i.e.,the geochemical characteristics of typical island arc igneous *** tectonic discriminant diagram indicates that the granite is a volcanic arc *** Hf isotopic an alysis of gabbro zirco. revealed that the zirco.s have ε_(Hf)(t)values of 12.08-16.24(mean of 14.32) and two-stage model ages(t_(DM2)) of 223-491 Ma(mean of 347 Ma).This indicates that the diagenetic magma of the gabbro was mainly derived from melting of newly formed crustal *** ophiolite in southeast Sabah has existed since the early Late *** crystalline basement granite in southeastern S abah was emplaced lasted from late Triassic to early *** on previous studies and global plate reco.struction models,it is speculated that the southeastern Sabah granite may have been formed in an island arc setting,i.e.,where the oceanic crust of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean co.lided with the oceanic crust of the Panthalassa Ocean.

Numerical investigation of the co.pled aero-hydrodynamic performances of a semi-submersible floating offshore wind turbine with inclined co.umns

Numerical investigations of floating platforms with different outer co.umn inclined angles under two operating co.ditions of regular wave and irregular wave are presented in this paper.A co.pled aero-hydrodynamic co.putational fluid dynamics in-house solver FOWT-UALM-SJTU is applied for the ***,the validation for wave and wind generation are co.ducted to determine mesh distribution *** on these,the hydrodynamic motion response,aerodynamic performance and wake flow are analyzed to explore the impact of inclined *** spectral analysis on the motion response under wave action,discuss the aerodynamic attack angle and inflow wind velocity along the blade spanwise direction in detail,reveal different trends in wake development and *** results show that for the regular wave co.dition with the increase of inclined angles,the equilibrium position of surge motion is co.stantly rising,while pitch is *** maximum root mean square(rms)value occurs at angle=30°,co.pared with the original OC4 FOWT,the rms in power and thrust increase 0.35%,0.71%.And there are two low regions of attack angle and high regions of axial inflow velocity,co.responding to aerodynamic *** spectral analysis indicates that the natural frequency of pitch motion will increase with inclined ***,from the middle to far region of wake flow,the velocity reco.ery of FOWT with inclined angle will beco.e faster,which is beneficial for downstream turbines to enhance more wind energy.

Dynamic Analysis of A Deepwater Drilling Riser with A New Hang-off System

The safety of risers in hang-off states is a vital challenge in offshore oil and gas engineering.A new hang-off system installed on top of risers is proposed for improving the security of *** approach leads to a challenging problem:co.pling the dynamics of risers with a new hang-off system co.bined with multiple structures and co.plex *** accurately analyze the dynamic responses of the co.pled system,a co.pled dynamic model is established based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam-co.umn theory and penalty function method.A co.prehensive analysis method is proposed for co.pled dynamic analysis by co.bining the finite element method and the Newmarkβ*** analysis program is also developed in MATLAB for dynamic *** simulation results show that the dynamic performances of the risers at the top part are significantly improved by the new hang-off system,especially the novel design,which includes the centralizer and articulation *** bending moment and lateral deformation of the risers at the top part decrease,while the hang-off joint experiences a great bending moment at the bottom of the lateral restraint area which requires particular attention in design and *** platform navigation speed range under the safety limits of risers expands with the new hang-off system in use.

Study on crustal thickness and the prediction of prolific depressions:the Bohai Basin as an example

The deep crustal structure is closely related to oil and gas *** the oil and gas enrichment of depressions based on the Moho depth and crustal thickness is a promising research topic with significant implications for guiding exploration in petroliferous *** this study,seismic data were used as a co.straint on the use of satellite gravity anomaly inversion to obtain the distribution of Moho depth and crustal thickness in the Bohai *** factors were calculated to analyze the differential distribution of deep crustal structural *** indicators,including the minimum Moho depth,minimum crustal thickness,sum of Moho stretching factors,and sum of crustal stretching factors,were *** co.ponent analysis was applied to reduce the dimensionality of the multi-indicator system and obtain an oil and gas enrichment sco.e for quantitative prediction of favorable prolific *** deviation between the inverted Moho depth and seismic co.straints was small;thus,the data effectively reflect the variations in the characteristics of each *** analysis revealed significant statistical features related to the minimum Moho depth/crustal thickness and the sum of Moho/crustal stretching factors associated with prolific *** on the oil and gas enrichment sco.e,the depressions were classified into four categories related to their different deep crustal structural *** active ClassⅠ,ClassⅡ,and ClassⅢdepressions are predicted to be favorable prolific *** study expands the research on quantitatively predicting favorable prolific depressions in the Bohai Basin using the deep crustal structure and can co.tribute to reducing production co.ts and improving exploration efficiency in future explorations.

Preferential adsorption co.trol: Ca-based LDO for regenerating used lubricating oil

Different Ca-based layered double oxides（LDO） were applied in the removal of co.taminants in used lubricating oil as an alternative deco.orant. CaAl-LDO and CaFeAl-LDO achieved much greater deco.oration efficiency than the traditional deco.orants, where 0.93 and 0.91 of the deco.oration efficiency under the optimum co.ditions were obtained, respectively. The deco.oration activity with CaFeAl-LDO > CaAl-LDO >> CaFe-LDO was revealed by both Density Functional Theory（DFT） calculations and experimental analysis. Ca12Al14O33was shown to be the active co.ponent for deco.oration. Fe3+doped into CaAl-LDO co.ld improve deco.oration activity via a changed charge distribution of deco.orant. High preferential adsorption activity, which originated from different charge distribution for co.taminants instead of the oil co.ponents, co.tributed to outstanding deco.oration performance. The activity depended on the adsorption intensity of co.taminants, where the most of the active deco.orant neither too strongly or weakly bound with the co.taminants. The results of this study suggested the Cabased LDOs co.ld be a potentially alternative deco.orants for regenerating the used lubricating oil.

Formation environment and hydrocarbon potential of the Paleogene Enping Formation co.l measures in the ZhuⅠDepression of northern South China Sea

The co.l-measure source rock in the Chinese sea area plays a significant role as a hydrocarbon source rock,with its genetic environment,development and distribution,and hydrocarbon generation potential serving as essential factors for the exploration of co.l-type oil and gas *** study focuses on the co.l-measure source rock of the Paleogene Enping Formation in the ZhuⅠDepression,located in the northern South China *** main geological insights obtained are as *** co.l measures of the Enping Formation are developed in a warm and wet tropical-subtropical *** development environment of the co.l-measure source rock in the Enping Formation includes the braided river delta upper plain peat swamp,characterized by dry forest swamp co.l facies with relatively thick co.l seams and a small number of *** braided river delta lower plain swamp-interdistributary bay of braided river delta front represents a forest edge-wetland herbaceous swamp co.l facies with numerous layers of thin co.l seams and poor *** shore swamp co.responds to an open water swamp co.l facies with multiple layers of thin co.l seams and poor *** organic matter abundance in the braided river delta upper plain is the highest,followed by the braided river delta lower plain-braided river delta front,and the shore-shallow *** organic matter type is predominantly typeⅡ*** evolution analysis suggests that the organic matter has progressed into a substantial oil generation *** hydrocarbon generation potential of the co.l-measure source rock in the Enping Formation is the highest in the braided river delta upper plain,followed by the braided river delta lower plain-braided river delta front and the shore-shallow ***,this study proposes three organic facies in the co.l-measure source rock of the Enping Formation:upper-plain swamp-dry forest swamp facies,lower plain-interdistributary bay-forest-herbaceous swamp facies,and lake swamp-herbaceo

A real-time intelligent lithology identification method based on a dynamic felling strategy weighted random forest algorithm

Real-time intelligent lithology identification while drilling is vital to realizing downhole closed-loop drilling. The co.plex and changeable geological environment in the drilling makes lithology identification face many challenges. This paper studies the problems of difficult feature information extraction,low precision of thin-layer identification and limited applicability of the model in intelligent lithologic identification. The author tries to improve the co.prehensive performance of the lithology identification model from three aspects: data feature extraction, class balance, and model design. A new real-time intelligent lithology identification model of dynamic felling strategy weighted random forest algorithm(DFW-RF) is proposed. Acco.ding to the feature selection results, gamma ray and 2 MHz phase resistivity are the logging while drilling(LWD) parameters that significantly influence lithology identification. The co.prehensive performance of the DFW-RF lithology identification model has been verified in the application of 3 wells in different areas. By co.paring the prediction results of five typical lithology identification algorithms, the DFW-RF model has a higher lithology identification accuracy rate and F1 sco.e. This model improves the identification accuracy of thin-layer lithology and is effective and feasible in different geological environments. The DFW-RF model plays a truly efficient role in the realtime intelligent identification of lithologic information in closed-loop drilling and has greater applicability, which is worthy of being widely used in logging interpretation.
