Strategies for Prioritizing Ecological Construction with Consideration of Agricultural Industry Development in Northern China’s Agro- pastoral Ecotone : A Perspective of Opportunity Cost

In northern China’s agro-pastoral ecotone,there are conflicts between agricultural industry and ecological construction resource competition,and also problems urgently to be solved for economic growth and sustainable ecological improvement.Taking the development concept of"lucid waters and lush mountains being mountains of gold and silver"as the guiding principle of prioritizing ecological and green development,this paper studied the strategies for prioritizing ecological construction with consideration of economic development of agricultural industry from the perspective of opportunity cost.Through the analysis of opportunity cost,externality,and Pareto optimal theory,and using the calculation method of the unit equivalent factor value of terrestrial ecological service function,this paper calculated the ecological service value of forest,grassland,and farmland.It found that the ecological value of forest and grassland per unit area was greater than the ecological value of agricultural industry.This indicates that the opportunity cost of farmland for ecological construction was less than that of agricultural industry.Based on the theoretical and quantitative analysis,it came up with recommendations for establishing a comprehensive system for prioritizing ecological construction with consideration of agricultural industry development and establishing and improving the incentive mechanism of ecological construction.

Effects of Soy Isoflavones on the Sex Hormone Level and Pathological Changes in the Perimenopausal Syndrome Animal Model

[Objectives] To observe the effect of soy isoflavones on the perimenopausal syndrome model of female rats,and to find its mechanism,in order to provide experimental evidence for the clinical treatment of menopausal syndrome. [Methods]50 female SD rats were randomly divided into five groups,with 10 rats in each group,respectively,for the normal control group,sham operation group,model group,diethylstilbestrol group,soy isoflavone treated group,except the normal control group and sham operation group,the other groups were ovariectomized rats,the formation model of perimenopausal rats treated with normal saline,diethylstilbestrol,soy isoflavone by gavage,normal control group and sham operation group were given the same dose of normal saline and soy isoflavone by gavage. After 6 weeks of continuous treatment,abdominal aorta was taken blood,the serum was isolated,and radioimmunoassay method to measure E_2( Eestradiol),P( Progesterone),T( Testosterone). And removal of the pituitary gland,uterine and adrenal prepared pathological section,experimental effect was observed by light microscopy,using immunohistochemical method to observe the brain pituitary FSH( Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) and LH( Luteinizing Hormone) levels. [Results] Radiation immune analysis results showed that soy isoflavone could significantly improve serum E_2 level in ovariectomized rats,compared with the model group,the statistical analysis showed significant difference( P < 0. 05),but the serum P and T level had little effect. The pathological results showed that( i) uterus: the uterine wall and endometrial thickness of soy isoflavone group was between that of model group and sham operation group,the surface epithelium was columnar,glands increased;( ii) pituitary gland: soy isoflavone ovariectomized group cells were between model group and normal group;( iii) adrenal gland: soy isoflavone group adrenal tissue did not change significantly. The Ukraine crisis has profoundly impacted the global landscape and accelerated the evolution of the international system and order, and developing countries are undergoing a transition from passively absorbing the impacts to playing a more active role in the process. The realignment of world forces amid the crisis demonstrates the complexity of changes in international power configuration that are bound to be long-term and tortuous. However, world polarization will continue to advance in the medium to long term despite the current setbacks.

Exploring China's Western and Central County Systems Performance Measured by Outcomes Framework Scores-A Cross-sectional Survey of Routine Healthcare Data

This study was designed to measure the performance of county health systems in central and western China utilizing routine healthcare data.Drawing on a literature review and expert consultation,the study established a theoretical framework and an indicator system for performance review.Questionnaires were designed and disseminated to collect empirical data on health system performance in four counties of two central and western provinces.Quantitative data were subjected to descriptive statistical analysis through SPSS12.0.Three dimensions were introduced in the performance review framework—health outcomes,financial risk protection and consumer and provider satisfaction.Health outcomes were assessed from four secondary indicators：infant mortality rate;maternal mortality rate;under-5 child mortality rate;and the incidence of Class A and Class B notifiable diseases.Financial risk was assessed using two secondary indicators：the proportion of the cost of inpatient care that was reimbursed under the New Cooperative Medical System（NCMS） insurance scheme,and the rate of NCMS funds utilization.The assessment of satisfaction was made using two secondary indicators：the overall satisfaction of local residents with healthcare services,and the satisfaction of health practitioners at the township and village level.The study indicated better health system performance in the two counties in Chongqing than those in Shanxi.It was concluded that outcome framework scores can fairly reveal performance differences among county health systems in central and western China,and can provide practical evidence for optimizing the operation and inputs of county health systems.Caution needs to be exercised in generalizing such performance outcomes as many factors such as spending and organization that contribute to county health system performance were not included in the study.

The Association of Socioeconomic Status with the Burden of Cataract-related Blindness and the Effect of Ultraviolet Radiation Exposure: An Ecological Study

Objective To assess the association of socioeconomic status with the burden of cataract blindness in terms of year lived with disability(YLD) rates and to determine whether ultraviolet radiation(UVR) levels modify the effect of socioeconomic status on this health burden.Methods National and subnational age-standardized YLD rates associated with cataract-related blindness were derived from the Global Burden of Disease(GBD) study 2017. The human development index(HDI) from the Human Development Report was used as a measure of socioeconomic status.Estimated ground-level UVR exposure was obtained from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument(OMI)dataset of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA).Results Across 185 countries, socioeconomic status was inversely associated with the burden of cataract blindness. Countries with a very high HDI had an 84% lower age-standardized YLD rate [95%confidence interval(CI): 60%–93%, P < 0.001] than countries with a low HDI;for high-HDI countries, the proportion was 76%(95% CI: 53%–88%, P < 0.001), and for medium-HDI countries, the proportion was48%(95% CI: 15%–68%, P = 0.010;P for trend < 0.001). The interaction analysis showed that UVR exposure played an interactive role in the association between socioeconomic status and cataract blindness burden(P value for interaction = 0.047).Conclusion Long-term high-UVR exposure amplifies the association of poor socioeconomic status with the burden of cataract-related blindness. The findings emphasize the need for strengthening UVR exposure protection interventions in developing countries with high-UVR exposure.

Impacts of fighting against COVID-19 on critical care nurses'psychological and physical health:a literature review

Objective:To provide insight into the effects of the coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic on the physical and psychological health of critical care nurses in adult units.Methods:A systematic search through the CINAHL,MEDLINE,and EMbase databases were performed.Studies that addressed“critical care nurses,”“COVID-19,”“physical effect,”and“psychological effect”from different perspectives were reviewed.Results:A total of 42 ar ticles were reviewed based on 2 aspects:critical care nurses'psychological and physical health.Negative emotions were the most common conditions:fear,anxiety,depression,and post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD).Burnout,falling ill and having thoughts of self-harm,fatigue,physical burden,sleeping disorders,and chronic work overload also adversely affected the nurses'health.The nurses'health deteriorated because of the changes in the unfamiliar working environment and processes,colossal workload and chronic exhaustion,worries about themselves and their families,social response,and witnessing the death toll.Conclusions:Critical care nurses experienced adverse effects of the institutional reaction,social response,and individuals'reply to the COVID-19 pandemic upon their psychological and physical health.Suppor ting services and preparation for other unprecedented situations should be sustainably available.

This paper reviews the development of exchange oscillopolarographic titration research, and focuses on its change in the past 20 years. At different temperatures, indicators, pH, and other situations, exchange oscillopolarographic titration was used to detect phosphorus, silver, lead, thallium, cobalt, nickel, potassium bromate, potassium ferricyanide sodium tetraphenylborate, hydroxyquinoline. It also can be used in the determination of sulfate in extracted phosphoric acid, vitamin C, and trace mercury in industrial waste water. This method is high sensitive and selective. Further it can omit the separating steps, simplify the testing procedures, save analyte samples, and detect the very weak acids and alkalis. Phenomena are obvious and deviation is negligible.
