Visible light driven tin oxide based photoelectrodes were obtained using SnCl2·2H2O EtOH solution on FTO by dipping and with further heat treatment in *** measurement with three electrodes configuration under visible light irradiation(λ>420 nm) revealed that this as-prepared photoelectrode showed typical n-type photocurrent effect and the onset potential is negative than that of H+/***,UV-Vis spectrum and control experimental results revealed that the visible light driven mechanism for the tin oxide based photoanode maybe ascribed to Sn4+/Sn2+ transformation and the surface oxygen deficiency.

A series of spiro-oxadiazoles were synthesized from 1,4：3,6-dianhydro-D-fructose and hydrazides via a stereoselective two-step reaction sequence. The structures of newly synthesized compounds were established by spectral analysis. The absolute configuration of compound 2a was further confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antitumor activity, showing that these compounds have poor inhibitory activities against A549, MGC-803 tumor cells.

The loss of bone was analyzed in the distal partof forearm bones both on the injured and intact sidesin eighteen postmenopausal women who had a frac.-ture of the *** bone mineral content(BMC)was measured with single photon absorptionimmediately after fracture,at the end of the periodof immobilization,and at approximately 6 and 12months after *** the period of immobi-lization,BMC of the radius decreased 0.047±0.008g/cm~2 on the injured side and 0.004±0.004 g/cm~2 onthe intact side(P0.05).At 6 months,BMC of the radius and of theulna decreased 0.053±0.017 g/cm~2 and 0.057±0.015 g/cm~2 respectively on the injured side,as com-pared with 0.013±0.005 g/cm~2 and 0.023±0.006 g/cm~2 respectively on the intact side(P<0.01).At 12months,BMC of the radius decreased 0.075±0.013g/cm~2 on the injured side and 0.028±0.009 g/cm~2 onthe intact side(P<0.01);BMC of the ulna de-creased 0.090±0.023 g/cm~2 on the injured side,and0. 049±0.012 g/cm~2 on the intact side(P<0.01).No sign of recovery of BMC in the distal part of theforearm bones was noticed one year after *** the patients were susceptible to another fracturein the ipsilateral radius and ulna.

A new synthesis of 2-phenylpyrano[3,2-b]phenothiazin-4（6H）-one derivatives was reported. First 2,10-diacetyl-3-hydroxyphenothiazine （2） was converted into their benzoyloxy esters （3a--3j） using different aro- matic carboxylic acids in the presence of phosphorous oxychloride in pyridine. Benzoyloxy esters were converted into their 1,3-diones （4a--4j） by using dry KOH in pyridine via Baker-Venkataraman transformation reaction. The 1,3-diones thus obtained were cyclised to pyranophenothiazines （Sa--Sj） by refluxing in an acetic acid/HCl mixture.

BACKGROUND： Aspirin can decrease the incidence risk of high-risk crowdgroup of cerebral infarction, but there are still controversy if it might decrease the degree of disease in degree of patients with acute cerebral infarction. OBJECTIVE： To observe the effect of lower dose of aspirin during taking for a long time on disease degree of disease following onset of acute cerebral infarction. DESIGN： Grouping according to the admission time and 1：1 paired observation.SETTING ： Department of Neurology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University.PARTICIPANTS ： The participants in present study were 321 patients with acute cerebral infarction who received treatments in the Department of Neurology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January 1999 to June 2000. There were 190 male and 131 female ,with mean （65±11 ）years of age. Inclusive criteria： ① A focal neurological disturbance occurred suddenly and had lasted for more than 24 hours, patients were admitted within 3 days after onset of disease; ② A computed tomography of the brain was performed and excluded hemorrhage in all patients; ③ The patients were proved internal carotid occlusions by clinical features and image findings; ④ The functions of limbs were normal （before the first stroke） or almost normal （before the second stroke）. Exclusive criteria：①The patients who had have cardiogenic cerebral embolism; ②The patients who had taken warfarin orally and other platelet agglutination drugs. METHODS ：①All the patients were divided into 2 groups according to whether they had taken aspirin before： aspirin-treated group （n=110） and blank control group （n=211）. there were 70 male and 40 female in aspirin-treated group, with average（65±10） years of *** patients had taken 50-100 mg/d aspirin for 6 months to 10 years before onset. There were 120 male and 91 female in blank control group, with average （65±13） years of age. Patients received a clinical scoring within 3 days and similar therapeutic measures （such as

BACKGROUND: Human insulin-like growth factor (hIGF-1) has been successful in treating peripheral nerve injury, but it is still unclear whether hIGF-1 after transgene in vivo has the effect on promoting the regeneration of peripheral nerve. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of hIGF-1 on the regeneration of peripheral nerve by transgene in vivo with electrophysiology, histological morphology and ultromicro morphology. DESIGN: A univariate design. SETTINGS: Jilin Institute of Surgery, China-Japan Friendship Hospital Affiliated to Jilin University; School of Basic Medical Sciences, Jilin University. MATERIALS: Thirty male adult Wistar rats of grade Ⅱ, weighing 200-250 g, were provided by the Animal Experimental Center of Jilin University [certification number: SCXK-(Ji)20030001]. The rats were raised in the environment at the temperature of 25 ℃ and humidity of 70%. All the rats were randomly divided into hIGF-1-treated group, treatment control group and blank control group, 10 rats in each group. Positive liposomes (mass concentration of 2 g/L) and pcDNA3.1 (mass concentration of 1 g/L) were purchased from Beijing Yuanpinghao Company; pcDNAhIGF-1 (mass concentration of 1 g/L) was provided by Dr. Shen from the School of Public Health of Jilin University. The liposomes were mixed with plasmids with the mass ratio of 1.5 to *** microscope was made by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Microsurgical Instrument Factory; EMB-5304K electromyogram (EMG) evoked potential meter by Nihon Kohden Corporation. HPIAS-1 000 high-acuity color pathological imaging analytical system (Japan) and JEM-1200EX transmission electron microscope (Japan) were also used. METHODS: The experiments were carried out in Jilin Institute of Surgery from April to June in 2004. ① All the rats were anesthetized, and the right sciatic nerve was exposed, and it was clipped with a clip at 5 mm below the piriform muscle for 3 times, 10 s for each time.
