Container-based virtualization isbecoming increasingly popular in cloud computing due to its efficiency and *** isolation is a fundamental property of *** works have indicated weak resource isolation could cause significant performance degradation for containerized applications and enhanced resource ***,current studies have almost not discussed the isolation problems of page cache which is a key resource for *** leverage memory cgroup to control page cache ***,existing policy introduces two major problems in a container-based ***,containers can utilize more memory than limited by their cgroup,effectively breaking memory ***,the os kernel has to evict page cache to make space for newly-arrived memory requests,slowing down containerized *** paper performs an empirical study of these problems and demonstrates the performance impacts on containerized *** we propose pCache(precise control of page cache)to address the problems by dividing page cache into private and shared and controlling both kinds of page cache separately and *** do so,pCache leverages two new technologies:fair account(f-account)and evict on demand(EoD).F-account splits the shared page cache charging based on per-container share to prevent containers from using memory for free,enhancing memory *** EoD reduces unnecessary page cache evictions to avoid the performance *** evaluation results demonstrate that our system can effectively enhance memory isolation for containers and achieve substantial performance improvement over the original page cache management policy.

In order to extract the richer feature information of ship targets from sea clutter, and address the high dimensional data problem, a method termed as multi-scale fusion kernel sparse preserving projection(MSFKSPP) based on the maximum margin criterion(MMC) is proposed for recognizing the class of ship targets utilizing the high-resolution range profile(HRRP). Multi-scale fusion is introduced to capture the local and detailed information in small-scale features, and the global and contour information in large-scale features, offering help to extract the edge information from sea clutter and further improving the target recognition accuracy. The proposed method can maximally preserve the multi-scale fusion sparse of data and maximize the class separability in the reduced dimensionality by reproducing kernel Hilbert space. Experimental results on the measured radar data show that the proposed method can effectively extract the features of ship target from sea clutter, further reduce the feature dimensionality, and improve target recognition performance.

The rapid pace of urban development has resulted in the widespread presence of construction equipment andincreasingly complex conditions in transmission corridors. These conditions pose a serious threat to the safeoperation of the power *** vision technology, particularly object recognition technology, has beenwidelyemployed to identify foreign objects in transmission line images. Despite its wide application, the technique faceslimitations due to the complex environmental background and other auxiliary factors. To address these challenges,this study introduces an improved YOLOv8n. The traditional stepwise convolution and pooling layers are replacedwith a spatial-depth convolution (SPD-Conv) module, aiming to improve the algorithm’s efficacy in recognizinglow-resolution and small-size objects. The algorithm’s feature extraction network is improved by using a LargeSelective kernel (LSK) attention mechanism, which enhances the ability to extract relevant features. Additionally,the SIoU Loss function is used instead of the Complete Intersection over Union (CIoU) Loss to facilitate fasterconvergence of the algorithm. Through experimental verification, the improved YOLOv8n model achieves adetection accuracy of 88.8% on the test set. The recognition accuracy of cranes is improved by 2.9%, which isa significant enhancement compared to the unimproved algorithm. This improvement effectively enhances theaccuracy of recognizing foreign objects on transmission lines and proves the effectiveness of the new algorithm.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and prognostic factors of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)in patients with secondary acute myeloid leukemia(sAML).Methods In this multicenter,retrospective clinical study,adult patients aged≥18 years who underwent allo-HSCT for sAML at four centers of the Zhejiang Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Collaborative Group from January 2014 to November 2022 were included,and the efficacy and prognostic factors of allo-HSCT were *** A total of 95 patients were enrolled;66(69.5%)had myelodysplastic syndrome-acute myeloid leukemia(MDS-AML),4(4.2%)had MDS/MPN-AML,and 25(26.3%)had therapy-related AML(tAML).The 3-year CIR,LFS,and overall survival(os)rates were 18.6%(95%CI 10.2%-27.0%),70.6%(95%CI 60.8%-80.4%),and 73.3%(95%CI 63.9%-82.7%),respectively.

In order to analyze and process the large graphs with high cost efficiency,researchers have developed a number of out-of-core graph processing systems in recent years based on just one commodity *** the other hand,with the rapidly growing need of analyzing graphs in the real-world,graph processing systems have to efficiently handle massive concurrent graph processing(CGP)***,due to the inherent design for single graph processing job,existing out-of-core graph processing systems usually incur unnecessary data accesses and severe competition of I/O bandwidth when handling the CGP *** this paper,we propose GraphCP,a disk I/O optimized out-of-core graph processing system that efficiently supports the processing of CGP *** proposes a benefit-aware sharing execution model to share the I/O access and processing of graph data among the CGP jobs and adaptively schedule the graph data loading based on the states of vertices,which efficiently overcomes above challenges faced by existing out-of-core graph processing ***,GraphCP adopts a dependency-based future-vertex updating model so as to reduce disk I/os in the future *** addition,GraphCP organizes the graph data with a Source-Sorted Sub-Block graph representation for better processing capacity and I/O access *** evaluation results show that GraphCP is 20.5×and 8.9×faster than two out-of-core graph processing systems GridGraph and GraphZ,and 3.5×and 1.7×faster than two state-of-art concurrent graph processing systems Seraph and GraphSO.

To improve the amylose content(AC)and resistant starch content(RSC)of maize kernel starch,we employed the CRISPR/Cas9 system to create mutants of starch branching enzyme I(SBEI)and starch branching enzyme IIb(SBEIIb).A frameshift mutation in SBEI(E1,a nucleotide insertion in exon 6)led to plants with higher RSC(1.07%),lower hundred-kernel weight(HKW,24.71±0.14 g),and lower plant height(PH,218.50±9.42 cm)compared to the wild type(WT).Like the WT,E1 kernel starch had irregular,polygonal shapes with sharp edges.A frameshift mutation in SBEIIb(E2,a four-nucleotide deletion in exon 8)led to higher AC(53.48%)and higher RSC(26.93%)than that for the WT.E2 kernel starch was significantly different from the WT regarding granule morphology,chain length distribution pattern,X-ray diffraction pattern,and thermal characteristics;the starch granules were more irregular in shape and comprised typical B-type *** SBEI and SBEIIb(E12)had a synergistic effect on RSC,HKW,PH,starch properties,and starch biosynthesis-associated gene ***,SS1,SSIIa,SSIIIa,and SSIIIb were upregulated in E12 endosperm compared to WT *** study lays the foundation for rapidly improving the starch properties of elite maize lines.

In recent years there is a growing importance in using machine learning techniques to improve procedures in precision agriculture:in this work we perform a study on models capable of predicting oenological parameters from hyperspectral images of wine grape berries,a specially relevant topic to boost production tasks for ***,we explore the capabilities of a novel technique mostly used for visualization,t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE),for reducing the dimensionality of the highly complex hyperspectral data and compare its performance with Principal Component Analysis(PCA)method,which despite the introduction of many nonlinear dimensionality reduction techniques over the years,had achieved the best results for real-world data across several studies in *** we explore the potential of kernel t-SNE,an extension to the t-SNE method that allows for the usage of the technique in streaming data or online *** results show that,in a direct comparison,t-SNE achieves better metrics than PCA for most of the data sets in this work and that the regressor(Support Vector Regression,SVR)performs better with the t-SNE reduced features as inputs,accomplishing better predictions with lower error *** the results with current literature,our shallow learning model paired with t-SNE achieves either better or on par results than those reported,even competing with more advanced models that use deep learning techniques,which should propel the introduction of t-SNE in more studies that require dimensionality reduction.

The broad learning system(BLS) based on the minimum mean square error(MMSE) criterion can achieve outstanding performance without spending too much time in various machine learning ***, when data are polluted by non-Gaussian noise, the stability of BLS may be destroyed because the MMSE criterion is sensitive to outliers. Different from the MMSE criterion, the minimum error entropy(MEE) criterion utilizes the kernel function to capture high-dimensional information and decrease the negative influence of outliers, which will make BLS more discriminative and robust. Nevertheless, the computational complexity of MEE is high due to a double summation of the data size. To solve these issues, this paper proposes a new robust BLS variant based on the quantized minimum error entropy(QMEE) criterion, in which a quantization operation is used to reduce the computational complexity of MEE. The proposed model BLS-QMEE is optimized by the fixed-point iterative method, and a sufficient condition for its convergence is provided. Compared with the standard BLS and other existing robust variants of BLS, BLS-QMEE performs more satisfactorily without consuming too much time. The desirable performance of BLS-QMEE is verified by various experiments on function approximation, several public datasets, and a practical application.
