Validation of the Persian version of the Compassionate Care Assessment Tool

Objectives:The present study aimed to translate and determine the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Compassionate Care Assessment Tool(CCAT)■.Methods:The study was carried out to translate and validate of the CCAT■.After securing permission from the designer of the tool and translating it,the psychometric properties were determined through examining face validity,construct validity,internal consistency,and test/retest *** regard to construct validity,confirmatory factor analysis was used so that 300 patients in internal and surgery wards were selected by a simple random sampling method from three *** were analyzed using SPSS(v.24.0)and LISREL statistical software version ***:The results of the confirmatory factor analysis supported the validity and reliability of the Persian version of the CCAT■and its four *** reliability of the tool and internal consistency were confirmed through test/retest method with two weeks’*** the two areas of importance and provision of compassionate care,Cronbach’sαcoefficient equaled to 0.918 and 0.933 and intraclass consistency equaled to 0.848 and 0.907 ***:The results showed that the Persian version of the CCAT©was adequately valid and reliable for Iranian *** the acceptable psychometric parameters of the tool,using it in future studies to measure importance and provision of compassionate nursing care to Iranian patients at internal and surgery wards is recommended.

The demand for health consciousness to prevent malnutrition, a high risk factor in developing countries especially in the rural areas is increasing. This study was designed to assess the level of knowledge and utilization of mushroom as a food supplement in six Local Government Areas of Cross River State, one predominantly urban and the other five mostly rural. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from a total of 250 participants. Findings revealed that 178 (71.2%) of respondents had good knowledge of mushrooms as food supplement 205 (82%) utilized them as such, while majority of the participants 243 (93.6%) 20.1% said it is part of the family diet if available. Chi-square analysis showed statically significant association between knowledge and utilization (X2 cal = 89.62a, X2 tab = 3.84;df = 1, p < 0.05). In conclusion, we envision mushrooms as the most cost-effective source of a healthier diet tackling food insecurity, diversification and malnutrition for families in Cross River.

Objectives:This study was aimed at identifying the nurse’s level of stress and the coping mechanism adopted by *** and Methods:A descriptive study was done to assess the level of stress and the coping strategies adopted by the nurses in a secondary hospital in North East India,Nagaland.A total enumerative sampling technique was used to select 94 samples for the *** nursing stress scale(NSS)by Gray-Toft and Anderson 1981 was used to assess stress,and the Ways of Coping Questionnaire was ***:Of 94 samples,68(72.34%)had a mild level of stress,25(26.59%)had a moderate level of stress,and only 1(0.06%)had a severe level of ***-one(32.97%)used minimal coping strategies,and 63(67.02%)used moderate coping *** was no significant association between the stress level and selected demographic variables such as age,marital status,and years of experience(all P>0.05).A significant association was found between the stresses of nurses and qualification of nurses(χ2=4.10,P=0.04).Conclusion:The study reveals that most nurses had mild levels of *** nurses use moderate coping strategies to relieve their stressors at ***,there is a need to emphasize the importance of using effective coping strategies for nurses to alleviate their stresses and anxiety in their workplace and even in their personal lives.

The triple-differential cross section （TDCS） for the （e,2e） ionization of a hydrogen molecule is calculated using the molecule distorted-wave Born approximation （MDWBA）. Distorted waves are obtained by solving momentum-space coupled-channel Lippmann-Schwinger equations, including the ground state and the lowest-lying electronic state of b3Σu . TDCSs at the incident energy 100 eV in coplanar asymmetric geometry are reported. The present calculations are compared with the available experimental measurements and the theoretical results.

Background and Objective:LTB4 has been shown to be involved in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)*** effect of Dioscin(Dio)on the LTB4 pathway of RA have not been reported *** study aimed at further exploring whether Dioscin’s effects on TNF-αinduced collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS)connected with the LTB4 and its receptor ***&Methods:In this experiment,control group,TNF-αgroup,and different concentrations of Dioscin groups were *** viability was evaluated using MTT *** levels of LTB4 in the samples of above groups were measured using *** mRNA expression levels of LTA4H,BLT1,and BLT2 were detected by quantitative real time PCR,while the expression level of LTA4H proteins were detected using western *** distribution of LTA4H was assessed by immunofluorescence ***:the LTB4 level of TNF-αgroup in sample supernatant was higher than both control group and Dioscin groups with decreased LTB4 levels(p<0.05).Compared with the control group,the expression of LTA4H was significantly increased in TNF-αgroup(p<0.05),whereas LTA4H expressions were significantly decreased in all Dioscin groups when compared to TNF-αgroup(p<0.05).The mRNA expressions of BLT1 and BLT2 were markedly higher in TNF-αgroup than those in control group while Dioscin treatment significantly inhibited the increased expressions of BLT1 and BLT2 induced by TNF-α(p<0.05).Conclusions:These results firstly demonstrate that the protective effect of Dioscin on TNF-αinduced FLS may involve in its reducing LTB4 production by down-regulating LTA4H expression,and may inhibit its downstream pathway by decreasing LTB4 receptors *** findings suggest that dioscin produces a potential therapeutic effects for RA via its influencing LTA4H/LTB4/BLT pathway.
