The water gas shift （WGS） reaction is reacts with water on a catalytic surface a process of industrial importance to form CO2 and H2. We study this In this reaction carbon monoxide reaction with thermal （Langmuir- Hinshelwood） and non-thermal （precursor and Eley-Rideal） reaction mechanisms using the techniques of Monte Carlo computer simulation. The details of surface coverages and production rates are given as a function of CO partial pressure. The diffusion of species on the surface as well as their desorption from the surface is also introduced to include temperature effects. The phase diagrams of the system have been drawn to observe the behaviour of reacting species on the surface. The study reveals that the production rates are higher for non-thermal precursor mechanism and are in agreement with the experimental finding.

Very small nickel oxide nanoparticles were prepared by a sol-gel procedure using nickel nitrate hexahydrate and ammonium hydroxide as precursors. The particles are in the range of 5 nm-11 rim. The x-ray diffraction （XRD） crystallography and high resolution transmission electron microscopy （HRTEM） were employed to characterize the samples. They were found to be polycrystalline in nature and fcc （NaCl-type） in structure, with the lattice parameter varying with annealing temperature. HRTEM pictures show that the as-prepared samples are hexagonal in shape. Positron annihilation spectroscopy was used to investigate the Doppler-broadened spectra of the samples. The S and W parameters revealed that the chemical surroundings and momentum distribution of the vacancy clusters vary with crystallite size.

Contamination of soil, water or air, due to a failure of containment or disposal of high level nuclear wastes, can potentially cause serious hazards to the environment or human health. Essential elements of the environment and radioactivity dangers to it are illustrated. Issues of high level nuclear waste disposal are discussed with a focus on thermodynamic equilibrium and environment ethics. Major aspects of the issues are analyzed and described briefly to build a perception of risks involved and ethical implications. nuclear waste containment repository should be as close as possible to thermodynamic equilibrium. A clear demonstration about safety aspects of nuclear waste management is required in gaining public and political confidence in any possible scheme of permanent disposal. Disposal of high level nuclear waste offers a spectrum of environment connected challenges and a long term future of nuclear power depends on the environment friendly solution of the problem of nuclear wastes.

To determine the effect of Biofertilizer and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) biopesticide for controlling foot and root rot diseases of lentil it is very important for conducting experiment in the field. It was marked that both Biofertilizer and IPM Biopesticide found significantly lower disease incidence of Bangladesh Institute of nuclear agriculture (BINA) released popular lentil variety Binamasur-1 and Binamasur-2 seedlings compared with the control treatment. Soil treatment with Biofertilizer as Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) released Bari-Biofertilizer performed the lowest disease incidence of lentil variety Binamasur-1 and Binamasur-2 at 20 days after sowing (DAS) showed a reduction of disease incidence up to 68.80% and 71.70% over the control. While after 28 DAS, it was found up to 91.27% and 91.34% reduction of disease incidence over control. Furthermore, after 35 DAS, it exhibited up to 69.37% and 69.28% reduction of disease incidence over control. Bari-Biofertilizer significantly increased the fresh weight and the number of nodules per plant.

Natural rubber latex （NRL） and methyl methacrylate （MMA） grafted rubber latex were blended in different ratios and irradiated at various absorbed doses by gamma rays from Co-60 source at room temperature. The tensile properties, swelling ratio and permanent set were measured. The maximum tensile strength and modulus at 500% elongation were obtained at an absorbed dose of 8 kGy. Modulus increases from 6.99 MPa to 9.87 MPa for an increase in proportion of MMA grafted rubber from 40% to 60% in the blend at similar absorbed dose. Elongation at break and swelling ratio decrease with increasing absorbed dose as well as the MMA grafted rubber content in the blends. The decreasing trend of permanent set is high up to 5 kGy absorbed dose, and beyond that dose, it becomes almost flat.

Corrosion mechanism of automotive mufflers was investigated by SEM （scanning electron microscope） and XRD （X-ray diffractomer） analysis. 409L and newly developed 439M steels were evaluated in terms of condensate corrosion tests for 5 periods, 10 periods and 20 periods separately. The relative lifetimes of 409L and 439M steels were predicted according to the extreme value analysis method and pitting corrosion models. Modelling studies dem- onstrated that the predicted relative lifetime of 439M ferrite stainless steel is 6.8 times that of 409L steels. The extreme value analysis method was also successfully used in the road test. The estimated maximum corrosion depth of the 439M muffler is 0. 55 ram.

Dysregulated or weak immunity is caused by ageing,chemo-radiotherapy,COVID-19,infections,steroids,pol-lutants and *** foods are required for boosting *** the present study,eight rice(Oryza sativa L.)varieties were selected from the repository of 23,250 Indian germplasm *** immuno-modulatory effects of these rice varieties were assessed in vitro and in ***-rice-methanolic-extract(Larimex)significantly enhanced innate(>20%)and adaptive(>10%)immune responses evinced from higher bacterial phagocytosis by macrophages,increased mitogen-induced T-cell proliferation(11%)and scavenged reactive oxygen species(ROS)(70-80%).Larimex activated transcription factor Nrf2 and its downstream genes NQO1,HO1 and Txnrd1 in immune *** significantly improved immune responses(>20%)only in cells from wild type but not Nrf2 knock-out mice indicating its causal role in boosting *** metabolomics of Layacha rice showed preponderance of metabolic pathways and bioactive compounds,which activate Nrf2 in mammalian *** rice can be a suitable food for boosting immunity.

The carbon steels dispersed with ultrafine TiC particles were fabricated by conventional casting method. The casting process is more economical than other available routes for metal matrix composite production, and the large sized components to be fabricated in short processing time. However, it is extremely difficult to obtain uniform dispersion of ultrafine ceramic particles in liquid metals due to the poor wettability and the specific gravity difference between the ceramic particle and metal matrix. In order to solve these problems, the mechanical milling (MM) and surface-active processes were introduced. As a result, Cu coated ultrafine TiC powders made by MM process using high energy ball milling machine were mixed with Sn powders as a surfactant to get better wettability by lowering the surface tension of carbon steel melt. The microstructural investigations by OM show that ultrafine TiC particles are distributed uniformly in carbon steel matrix. The grain sizes of the cast matrix with ultrafine TiC particles are much smaller than those without ultrafine TiC particles. This is probably due to the fact that TiC particles act as nucleation sites during solidification. The wear resistance of cast carbon steel composites added with MMed TiC/Cu-Sn powders is improved due to grain size refinement.
