Structural and photocatalytic properties of TiO_2 films fabricated on silicon substrates by MOCVD method

Silicon(111) and Silicon(100) were employed for fabrication of TiO 2 films by metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD). Titanium(IV) isopropoxide(Ti[O(C 3H 7) 4]) was used as a precursor. The as deposited TiO 2 films were characterized with FE\|SEM, XRD and AFM. The photocatalytic properties were investigated by decomposition of aqueous OrangeⅡ. And UV VIS photospectrometer was used for checking the absorption characteristics and photocatalytic degradation activity. The crystalline and structural properties of TiO 2 film had crucial influences on the photodegradation efficiency. For MOCVD in situ deposited films on Si substrates, the photoactivities varied following a shape of “M': at lower(350℃), middle(500℃) and higher(800℃) temperature of deposition, relative lower photodegradation activities were observed. At 400℃ and 700℃ of deposition, relative higher efficiencies of degradation were obtained, because one predominant crystallite orientation could be obtained as deposition at the temperature of two levels, especially a single anatase crystalline TiO 2 film could be obtained at 700℃.

In this paper,a new optimal design criterion--joint model and criterion optimal de-sign criterioon is put forward. The design that is subject to this criterion satisfies many kinds of lin-ear optimal criterion and D-optimal criterion on several experiment models at the same time. Theequivalent condition of this optimal design is given. Its iterative algorithm and the algorithm cover-genee are stated.

The magnetic properties of the mixed ferro-ferrimagnetic compounds with (AxB1-x)yC, where A, B, and C are three different magnetic ions and form three different sublattices, are studied by using the standard mean-field theory. The phase diagram which is related to experimental work of molecule-based ferro-ferrimagnet (NiⅡxMn1Ⅱ-x)1.5[CrⅢ(CN)6]· zH2O is obtained. The magnetization curves, internal energy, and specific heat of the same mixed (Ax B1- x) y C system are also investigated.

Numerical Simulations of Equiaxed Dendrite Growth Using Phase Field Method

Phase field method offers the prospect of being able to perform realistic numerical experiments on dendrite growth in a metallic system. In this paper, the equiaxed dendrite evolution during the solidification of a pure material was numerically simulated using the phase field model. The equiaxed dendrite growth in a two-dimensional square domain of undercooled melt (nickel) with four-fold anisotropy was simulated. The phase field model equations was solved using the explicit finite difference method on a uniform mesh. The formation of various equiaxed dendrite patterns was shown by a series of simulations, and the effect of anisotropy on equiaxed dendrite morphology was investigated.

The solidification of primary austenite in hypoeutectic gray cast iron was studied by stepped grinding and quantitative metallography. The dendrite structure of primary austenite can be described by three models: typical dendrite crystal model, metamorphic dendrite crystal model and network dendrite crystal model. The dendrite crystals formed according to 3rd model is much more than those formed according to other models in this experiment. The primary austenites are connected each other, and the primary stems of austenite could be regarded as secondary arms and vice versa.

The influence of the temperature of liquid aluminum alloy, the dipping time in liquid alloy and the thickness of base strips on the solidified layer was studied during the process of producing aluminum alloy composite strips used in automobile radiator with inversion casting. It is concluded that there is welding as well as diffusion of alloying elements between the base strip and the coating. Experiments proved that the interface has a good bonding.

The deoxidation behaviors of alloys bearing barium in pipe steel were researched with MgO crucible under argon atmosphere in MoSi2 furnace at 1 873 *** total oxygen contents of molten steel,the distribution,size and morphology of deoxidation products in the steel were *** metamorphic mechanism for deoxidation products of alloy bearing barium was also *** results show that applying alloy bearing barium to the pipe steel,very low total oxygen contents can be obtained,and deoxidation products,which easily float up from molten steel,can be changed into globular shape and uniformly distributed in *** equilibrium time of total oxygen is about 25 min,and the terminal total oxygen contents range from 0.002 0%to 0.002 2% after treating with SiCa *** best deoxidizers are SiAlBaCa and SiAlBaCaSr.
