After the first secondarily-transmitted ebola case in Spain, a wave of divergent opinions flooded mass and sanitary media. Very few of these opinions, however, came from experts on epidemiology or hemorrhagic fevers. This observational study aimed to assess the specific knowledge of Primary care physicians and nurses about ebola and hemorrhagic fevers by means of analyzing the results obtained from a 5-item self-reported questionnaire dealing on hemorrhagic fevers basic knowledge. Validity and reliability of questionnaire were confirmed by a pilot study. The participants were 138 family doctors and nurses from the 64 public Primary care centers sited in the north metropolitan Area of Barcelona (1,400,000 inhab;Catalonia, Spain) taking part in training-the-trainers ebola workshops. Overall, there were 117 (84.8%) respondents out from 138 workshop participants;of them were physicians 61 (51.2%). The main age was 46.7 (8.8) years;stating previous specific knowledge on hemorrhagic fevers 39 (33.3%). On the whole, up to 92 (78.6%) of respondents shown a poor knowledge. Previous specific formation was significantly and independently associated with having proper knowledge (p care physicians and nurses.

In the era of the Internet of Things(IoT),the proliferation of connected devices has raised security concerns,increasing the risk of intrusions into diverse *** the convenience and efficiency offered by IoT technology,the growing number of IoT devices escalates the likelihood of attacks,emphasizing the need for robust security tools to automatically detect and explain *** paper introduces a deep learning methodology for detecting and classifying distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks,addressing a significant security concern within IoT *** effective procedure of deep transfer learning is applied to utilize deep learning backbones,which is then evaluated on two benchmarking datasets of DDoS attacks in terms of accuracy and time *** leveraging several deep architectures,the study conducts thorough binary and multiclass experiments,each varying in the complexity of classifying attack types and demonstrating real-world ***,this study employs an explainable artificial intelligence(XAI)AI technique to elucidate the contribution of extracted features in the process of attack *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method,achieving a recall of 99.39%by the XAI bidirectional long short-term memory(XAI-BiLSTM)model.

Background:Physical activity(PA)is important for cancer *** of remotely delivered interventions are needed to assist in reaching under-served non-metropolitan cancer *** objective of this study was to ascertain whether wearable technology,coupled with health coaching was effective in increasing PA in breast and colorectal cancer survivors living in regional and remote areas in ***:Cancer survivors from 5 states were randomized to intervention and control *** participants were given a Fitbit Charge 2TMand received up to 6 telephone health coaching *** participants received PA print *** assessments at baseline and 12 weeks measured moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA),light PA,and sedentary ***:Eighty-seven participants were recruited(age=63±11 years;74(85%)female).There was a significant net improvement in MVPA of 49.8 min/week,favoring the intervention group(95%confidence interval(95%CI):13.6-86.1,p=0.007).There was also a net increase in MVPA bouts of 39.5 min/week(95%CI:11.9-67.1,p=0.005),favoring the intervention *** groups improved light PA and sedentary behavior,but there were no between-group ***:This’s the first study to demonstrate that,when compared to standard practice(i.e.,PA education),a wearable technology intervention coupled with distance-based health coaching,improves MVPA in non-metropolitan cancer *** results display promise for the use of scalable interventions using smart wearable technology in conjunction with phone-based health coaching to foster increased PA in geographically disadvantaged cancer survivors.

Is Robotic Arm Assisted Total Hip Arthroplasty More Bone Preserving than Conventional Hip Replacements and Hip Resurfacing?

Background: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a common procedure that is increasingly being performed in younger patients. Deep acetabular reaming will result in more bone loss and the need for large acetabular components to be implanted. It can also lead to impingement, loosening, an altered center of rotation, and intraoperative periprosthetic fracture. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the single ream, robotic arm-assisted (RAA) THA can preserve a greater volume of bone stock compared to conventional hip replacement and resurfacing. Methods: We prospectively recruited 69 patients who had undergone primary THA using the Stryker Trident Acetabular System®in combination with the Stryker RAA System (MAKO)®and compared their mean reaming weight (g) with that of conventional hip replacement and resurfacing, as measured by Brennan et al. Comparison of acetabular reaming during hip resurfacing versus uncemented THA (J Orthop Surg. 2009;17(1): 42-46). Results: The mean reaming weight using the MAKO system was 9.08 g, which was 29% less than the reaming weight using uncemented THA and hip resurfacing of 12.75 g. None of the acetabular cups required screw fixation. During the 35-month follow-up period, there were no complications related to cup placement or positioning. Conclusions: The use of RAA THA results in statistically significant preservation of acetabular bone compared to conventional hip replacement and resurfacing. This approach reflects the increased precision offered by RAA single reaming. Surgeons may consider utilizing RAA THA, particularly in younger patients, to better preserve bone stock as this could potentially impact future revision procedures.

Purpose： The clinical significance of isolated flee fluid （FF） without solid organ injury on computed to- mography （CT） continues to pose significant dilemma in the management of patients with blunt abdominal trauma （BAT）. Methods： We reviewed the incidence of FF and the clinical outcome amongst patients with blunt abdominal trauma in a metropolitan trauma service in South Africa. We performed a retrospective study of 121 consecutive CT scans over a period of 12 months to determine the incidence of isolated FF and the clinical outcome of patients managed in a large metropolitan trauma service, Results： Of the 121 CTs, FF was identified in 36 patients （30%）. Seven patients （6%） had isolated FF. Of the 29 patients who had free fluid and associated organ injuries, 33 organ injuries were identified. 86% （25/ 29） of all 29 patients had a single organ injury and 14% had multiple organ injuries. There were 26 solid organ injuries and 7 hollow organ injuries. The 33 organs injured were： spleen, 12; liver, 8; kidney, 5; pancreas, 2; small bowel, 4; duodenum, 1. Six （21%） patients required operative management for small bowel perforations in 4 cases and pancreatic tail injury in 2 cases. All 7 patients with isolated FF were initially observed, and 3 （43%） were eventually subjected to operative intervention. They were found to have an intra-peritoneal bladder rupture in 1 case, a non-expanding zone 3 haematoma in I case, and a negative laparotomy in 1 case. Four （5？%） patients were successfully managed without surgical interventions. Conclusions： Isolated FF is uncommon and the clinical significance remains unclear. Provided that reli- able serial physical examination can be performed by experienced surgeons, an initial non-operative approach should be considered.

Integrity Assessment of Pipe System in a Full-Scale Membrane Water Treatment Plant

The pipe system roles as a main bridge between membrane modules and pumps in membrane water treatment plants. Membrane operation modes generally consist of filtration and backwash processes in a normal mode, a pressure decay test as an integrity test and a chemical circulation through pipe system in a cleaning mode. Thus factors effecting on membrane performance should be sufficiently considered before design and operation. This study evaluated flow analysis for vibration diagnostic and evaluation of the fatigue lifetime in the microfiltration system applied for a drinking water treatment plant. Vibration of main membrane pipelines was measured to identify the source of vibration. Also natural frequency and fluid dynamics was calculated by computational fluid dynamics. It showed that maximum magnitude frequencies were at 12 Hz and 22 Hz, respectively at water and air pipeline during filtration and backwash. Backwash process caused mainly vibration on the backwash water pipe. The calculated frequency from analysis of frequency response and CFD was in a good agreement with the measured frequency. Fatigue analysis showed that pipelines were getting little damage caused by vibration. Fatigue lifetime was predicted more than 15 years under the operation condition of daily filtration, and more than 27 years under the operation condition of a daily backwash mode, resulting in minor damage on the pipe lifetime.

In Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks(WMSNs),nodes capable of retrieving video,audio,images,and small scale sensor data,tend to generate immense traffic of various *** energy-efficient transmission of such a vast amount of heterogeneous multimedia content while simultaneously ensuring the quality of service and optimal energy consumption is ***,we propose a Power-Efficient Wireless Multimedia of Things(PE-WMoT),a robust and energy-efficient cluster-based mechanism to improve the overall lifetime of *** a PE-WMoT,nodes declare themselves Cluster Heads(CHs)based on available *** cluster formation and CH declaration processes are completed,the Sub-Cluster(SC)formation process triggers,in which application base nodes within close vicinity of each other organize themselves under the administration of a Sub-Cluster Head(SCH).The SCH gathers data from member nodes,removes redundancies,and forwards miniaturized data to its respective ***-WMoT adopts a fuzzy-based technique named the analytical hierarchical process,which enables CHs to select an optimal SCH among available SCs.A PE-WMoT also devises a robust scheduling mechanism between CH,SCH,and child nodes to enable collision-free data *** results revealed that a PE-WMoT significantly reduces the number of redundant packet transmissions,improves energy consumption of the network,and effectively increases network throughput.

In formulating an approach to the climate crisis,the cultural institutions should redefine their neutral position,or rather define whether the term“neutral”juxtaposes the climate crisis with human freedom projects related to race or *** neutrality as an overall principle,I argue a cultural political approach as a part of the agenda set in cultural institutions,both political and ethical,by reading an attempt by Pierre Bourdieu to engage the cultural field in not letting economics undermine its independency,and later through Walter Benjamin’s view on the thorough *** connecting Benjamin to Julia Kristeva’s use of Freud’s theory on the unnameable as a phobia,having to be treated in other terms than the“greenwashing of language”undertaken by politicians and social engineers,the cultural institutions could get onto the peloton and act as a path *** funded and supported,cultural institutions have the advantage of a non-profit service to communities who seek information,entertainment,and tools,not having to compete on an open marked.
