Effect of flue gas recirculation technology on soot and NO formation in the biomass pyrolysis-combustion system

Pyrolysis of biomass followed by combustion of pyrolytic vapors to replace fossil fuels is an economic low-carbon ***,the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and N-containing species in biomass pyrolysis vapors result in the soot and NO *** flue gas recirculation(FGR)technology,having the potential to reduce the soot and NO emissions,was introduced to the biomass pyrolysis-combustion *** addition,it was numerically studied by simulating the biomass pyrolysis vapors based co-flow diffusion flames with CO_(2)*** the experimental and simulated results showed that the FGR had significant suppression effects on the soot *** the FGR ratio(i.e.,CO_(2)addition ratio)increased from 0%to 15%,the experimental and simulated soot volume fraction respectively decreased by 32%and 21%,which verified the models used in this *** decrease in OH concentration caused by the CO_(2)addition was responsible for the decrease in the decomposition rate of A2(A2+OH=A2–+H_(2)O).Hence,more benzo(ghi)fluoranthene(BGHIF)was generated through A1C_(2)H–+A2→BGHIF+H_(2)+H,leading to the increase in inception *** decrease in benzo(a)pyrene(BAPYR)concentration was the major factor in the decrease in soot condensation ***,the decrease in the C_(2)H_(2) and OH concentrations was responsible for the decrease in the HACA surface growth ***,the simulated results showed that the NO concentration decreased by 0.4%when the content of CO_(2)was increased by 1 vol.%.The decrease in OH concentration suppressed the NO formation via decreasing reaction rates of N+OH=NO+H and HNO+OH=NO+H_(2)O and enhanced the NO consumption via increasing reaction rate of HO_(2)+NO=NO_(2)+OH.

The composition of biomass pyrolysis gas is complex,and the selective separation of its components is crucial for its further ***-incorporated nitrogen-doped materials exhibit enormous potential,whereas the relevant adsorption mechanism is still ***,16 metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials were designed based on the density functional theory calculation,and the adsorption mechanism of pyrolysis gas components H2,CO,CO_(2),CH_(4),and C2H6 was *** results indicate that metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials generally have better adsorption effects on CO and CO_(2)than on H_(2),CH_(4),and C_(2)H_(6).Transition metal Mo-and alkaline earth metal Mg-and Ca-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials show the potential to separate CO and CO_(2).The mixed adsorption results of CO_(2)and CO further indicate that when the CO_(2)ratio is significantly higher than that of CO,the saturated adsorption of CO_(2)will precede that of ***,the three metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials can selectively separate CO_(2),and the alkaline earth metal Mg-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon material has the best *** study provides theoretical guidance for the design of carbon capture materials and lays the foundation for the efficient utilization of biomass pyrolysis gas.

This paper reviews the research progress on abnormal temperature rise(ATR)of composite *** ATR of composite insulators can be divided into two types,point-form temperature rise(PFTR)and bar-form temperature rise(BFTR).The composite insulators with PFTR only show significant temperature rise at high relative humidity(RH)(>70%),and the temperature rise is located in the area that is 20 cm above the metal *** a low humidity environment(electric field after moisture absorption is the main heating *** discharge in high RH causes surface degradation of the silicone *** composite insulators with BFTR shows significant temperature rise at both high(>70%)and low(electric field,discharge,mechanical load,et *** may evolve into a decay-like fracture of the composite *** preventive methods concerning quality control,structure optimization,material modification and operational strategy are *** is suggested that when PFTR is detected on the composite insulator,the inspection period of the insulator should be properly *** composite insulator should be replaced as soon as the BFTR was detected.

Minimizing stress concentrations around an elliptical hole by concentrated forces acting on the uniaxially loaded plate

When concentrated forces are applied at any points of the outer region of an ellipse in an infinite plate, the complex potentials are determined using the conformal mapping method and Cauchy＇s integral formula. And then, based on the superposition principle, the analyt- ical solutions for stress around an elliptical hole in an infinite plate subjected to a uniform far-field stress and concentrated forces, are obtained. Tangential stress concentration will occur on the hole boundary when only far-field uniform loads are applied. When concen- trated forces are applied in the reversed directions of the uniform loads, tangential stress concentration on the hole boundary can be released significantly. In order to minimize the tangential stress concentration, we need to determine the optimum positions and values of the concentrated forces. Three different optimization methods are applied to achieve this aim. The results show that the tangential stress can be released significantly when the op- timized concentrated forces are applied.

With the increasing capacity of photovoltaic(PV)power plants connected to power systems, PV plants are often required to have some reactive power control capabilities to participate in reactive power regulation. Reactive power regulation of grid-connected PV inverters can be achieved using different control strategies. In this paper, the reactive power capability of inverters and the technical requirement of PV plants are analyzed. The reactive power capability of a 30 MW PV plant is evaluated against relevant technical standards using a new testing method proposed in this paper.

Because of the large-scale integration of wind power,the dynamic characteristics of power system have many uncertain *** on deterministic analysis methods,traditional on-line security assessment system cannot quantitatively estimate the actual operating conditions of the power system for only considering the most serious and credible ***,the risk theory is introduced into an on-line security assessment system and then an on-line risk assessment system for wind power is designed and implemented by combining with the dynamic security assessment *** on multiple data integration,the wind power disturbance probability is available and the security assessment of the power grid can obtain security indices in different *** operating risk index is an expectation of severity,computed by summing up all the products of the result probability and its *** results are reported to the dispatchers in on-line environment,while the comprehensive weak links are automatically provided to the power dispatching *** risk assessment system in operation can verify the reasonableness of the system.

This study develops an optimized finite difference iterative （OFDI） scheme for the two-dimensional （2D） viscoelastic wave equation. The OFDI scheme is obtained using a proper orthogonal decomposition （POD） method. It has sufficiently high accuracy with very few unknowns for the 2D viscoelastic wave equation. Existence, stability, and convergence of the OFDI solutions are analyzed. Numerical simulations verify efficiency and feasibility of the proposed scheme.
