A novel electromagnetic induction detector with two inductors for CE was described *** two inductors were used as signal detection and reference,*** parameters affecting the detector performance（including coil turns,detection distance, excitation frequency,voltage,etc.） were *** the optimum condition,the feasibility of the detector was examined by analyzing inorganic *** fabricated detector showed good linear relationship between the response and the analytes concentrations,with a detection limit of 13μmol/L for Na~＋（S/N = 3）.A variety of advantages,such as simple construction, ease of operation,and considerably universal response,suggested this novel detector a promising application prospect in analytical area.

Effect of Low-density Polyethylene Microplastics on Soybean-soil-microbial System

The widespread use of plastics has led to the prevalence of microplastics in the soil environment，which，as an emerging pollutant，affects plant growth，soil physicochemical properties，and microbial community structure. The effects of different contents of low-density polyethylene microplastics（LDPE-MPs）on soybean growth，soil physicochemical properties，soil enzyme activities，and microbial activities were investigated through pot culture experiments to explore the toxic effects of microplastics on soybean-soil-microbial systems. The results showed that compared with that in the control，microplastics inhibited soybean emergence（14.1%-25.0%），whereas plant height，biomass，and pod weight were inhibited by low concentration and promoted by high concentration，and SPAD of soybean was significantly reduced by high concentrations of microplastics stress. Microplastics affected the quality of soybeans，with s-sugars，s-proteins，and cellulose increased by 117.7%-258.8%，3.7%-61.6%，and 47.8%-83.4%，respectively，compared with those in the control. Microplastic addition also affected soybean nutrient uptake，as evidenced by the promotion of N（95.1%-144.4%）and P（4.1%-20.4%）uptake in the aboveground portion of soybeans and N（11.4%-19.4%）and P（8.5%-42.6%）uptake in the below-ground portion of soybeans，and inhibited K（2.2%-15.3%）uptake in the aboveground portion of the plant and K（3.9%-9.4%）uptake in the below-ground portion of the plan，respectively. The addition of microplastics had little effect on soil pH;however，it significantly increased CEC（65.1%-74.7%）and SOM（22.6%）. With the increase in the addition content，the content of NO3−-N，AP，AK，and UE activities were significantly reduced;the content of NO3−-N，AP，and AK was reduced by 57.7%，22.0%，and 18.8% compared with that in the control at 3% addition，respectively;and UE activity was inhibited by 13.98%. Enhancement of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores leaching process with PQ-10 addition

To solve the problems of the long development period,low mass transfer efficiency and high impurity conte nt in the in-situ leaching process of weathe red crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WCE-DREO),cationic hydroxyethyl cellulose(PQ-10)was composited with conventional leaching agent ammonium sulfate((NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4))to form a novel composite leaching *** effects of PQ-10 concentration,leaching temperature and leaching flow rate of the composite leaching agent on the leaching kinetics and mass transfer processes of rare earth(RE)and aluminum(Al)were *** to the single leaching agent(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4),the composite leaching agent(2 wt%(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)+0.02 wt%PQ-10)can reduce the RE leaching equilibrium time from 465 to 130 min and increase the RE leaching efficiency and decrease the Al leaching *** also facilitates the leaching process of WCE-DREO by increasing the peak concentrations of RE and Al,reducing the theoretical tower plate height(HETP)and improving the leaching mass transfer *** is indicated that PQ-10 can promote the leaching of *** leaching process of the composite leaching system conforms to the diffusion kinetic control *** the PQ-10 concentration is in the range of 0.005 wt%-0.020 wt%,the reaction orders of RE and Al are 0.73 and 0.54,respectively,which shows a positive effect on the leaching velocity;when the PQ-10 concentration is in the range of 0.030 wt%-0.060 wt%,the reaction orders of RE and Al are-1.16 and-0.75,respectively,which show a negative effect on the leaching *** the range of 10-50℃,the apparent activation energies of RE and Al are 15.02 and 17.31 kJ/mol,respectively,and the higher the leaching temperature,the smaller the HETP and the higher the leaching velocity and mass transfer *** increase in leaching flow rate contributes to the increase in the longitudinal diffusion velocity of the leaching agent within WCE-DREO,causing a shorter time for RE

Synthesis of hierarchical porous carbon with high surface area by chemical activation of(NH_(4))_(2)C_(2)O_(4) modified hydrochar for chlorobenzene adsorption

In this work,hydrothermal technique combined with KOH activation were employed to develop a series of porous carbons (NPCK-x) using tobacco stem as a low-cost carbon source and (NH_(4))_(2)C_(2)O_(4)as a novel nitrogen-doping *** properties of NPCK-x were characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller,field emission scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,Raman microscope,elemental analysis,and X-ray photoelectron *** showed that the NPCK-x samples possessed large surface areas (maximum:2875 m^(2)/g),hierarchical porous structures,and high degree of disorder.N-containing functional groups decomposed during activation process,which could be the dominant reason for appearance of abundant mesopores and well-developed pore *** chlorobenzene adsorption experiments demonstrated that carbon materials with(NH_(4))_(2)C_(2)O_(4)modification exhibited higher adsorption capacity (maximum:1053 mg/g) than those without modification (maximum:723 mg/g).The reusability studies of chlorobenzene indicated that the desorption efficiency of (NH_(4))_(2)C_(2)O_(4)modified porous carbon reached90.40%after thermal desorption at 100℃ under *** model fitting results exhibited that the existence of mesopores accelerated the diffusion rate of chlorobenzene in porous ***,Grand Canonical Monte Carlo simulation was conducted to verify that micropores with pore sizes of 1.2–2 nm of the optimized porous carbon were the best adsorption sites for chlorobenzene and mesopores with pore sizes of 2–5 nm were also highly active sites for chlorobenzene adsorption.

BACKGROUND The NaV1.1 sodium channel alpha subunit,encoded by SCN1A,is crucial for initiating and propagating action potentials in ***1A gene has long been an established target in the etiology and therapy of ***,very few studies have investigated the relevance of genetic variations in epilepsy and anti-epileptic drug *** To investigate associations between polymorphisms,rs121917953 T/A and rs121918623 C/T,and drug resistance in epilepsy patients in the north Indian *** A total of 100 age-and sex-matched epilepsy patients(50 drug responsive and 50 drug resistant subjects)were recruited and SCN1A rs121918623 C/T*and rs121917953 T/A*polymorphisms were analyzed by the allele specific-PCR technique.χ^(2)and Fisher’s exact test were used to estimate differences between the distribution of SCN1A rs121918623 and rs121917953 gene polymorphisms among various *** association between distinct rs121917953 genotypes and drug resistance was analyzed using logistic regression *** For the SCN1A rs121917953 T/A*(D188V)polymorphism,a significantly higher proportion of individuals with AT genotype were observed in the drug-resistant group as compared to the drug-responsive ***,a higher risk association was exhibited by AT genotype for drug resistance with an odds ratio of 3.51 and P value=*** the SCN1A rs121918623 C/T*(T875M)polymorphism,no significant difference in genotype distribution was observed between the drug-resistant and drug-sensitive *** Our findings indicate that the SCN1A polymorphism D188V is associated with a higher risk of drug resistance for the AT variant as compared to the homozygous TT *** research is needed at the functional level and in larger cohorts to determine the potential of these genes as a therapeutic target in epilepsy subjects.

The efficacy of stacked bar charts in supporting single-attribute and overall-attribute comparisons

Stacked bar charts are a visualization method for presenting multiple attributes of data,and many visualization tools support these *** assess the efficacy of stacked bar charts in supporting attributecomparison tasks,we conducted a user study to compare three types of stacked bar charts:classical,inverting,and *** chart type was used to visualize six attributes of data where half of the attributes have the characteristics of‘lower better’whereas the other half attributes are with‘higher better.’Thirty participants were asked to perform two types of comparison tasks:single-attribute and overall-attribute *** measured the completion time,error rate,and perceived difficulty of the comparison *** results of the study suggest that,for overall-attribute comparisons,the inverting stacked bar chart was the most effective with regards to the completion *** results also show that performing overall-attribute comparisons using the classical and diverging stacked bar charts required more time than performing single-attribute comparisons using these *** perceived the inverting and diverging stacked bar charts as easier-to-use than the classical stacked bar chart for overall-attribute ***,for single-attribute comparisons,all chart types delivered similar *** discuss how these findings can inform the better design of interactive stacked bar charts and visualization tools.
